The earned income tax credit thing is ridiculous. She's leaving serious money on the table. In particular her land lord - who it seems has some extreme compassion - would probably be livid if he found that out.

I'm also amazed at the huge disparity in how child support is enforced. You've got stories of guys sitting in prison because they can't make ridiculous payments and this woman is only getting $25/month from one of the dads. I'm all for child support reform when it comes to things like imputed income but letting guys entirely off the hook for paying for their own kids means the rest of society is paying via food stamps.

I don't want a dime of my money going to women like this, nor do I want to be anywhere near the guys who fucked her and popped out four bastard children.

And all the intelligent women who step in and defend her? I don't want to be associated with them either. Someone is subsidizing those women as well, be it education, female scholarship, daddy's IRA, aborting inconvinent children.

I was amazed at that too, usually what happens when a woman gets onto programs like food stamps and medicaid for the kids is that the state child enforcement agency takes up enforcement for child support because they want to be bumping her income up to get her off of the enlistment rolls.

very true, just at stage 1 the state would have to ask "who is the father" and if she says "any one of these 6" they would have to track them all down for DNA tests.

I'm not so sure. There's a psychological thing with some women where they take pride in struggling unnecessarily. I knew a girl with two kids by her ex husband. She took great pride in how much she was struggling to raise them without any of his assistance - though it was perfectly ok in her mind that the state was helping them out. I wouldn't be surprised if this woman knows who the fathers are but prefers to struggle it out.

Just wait fellas. One day they'll be a universal DNA database. They'll be no such thing as knocking up some random girl in a foreign country. They'll track your ass down and take support right out of your check.

Don't think it won't happen. They've had events at grade schools where they fingerprint kids. I remember getting fingerprinted at my grade school years ago. Not sure if they still do that though.

I know cops will use any excuse to fingerprint you though.

Gentlemen, all I have to say is this: if you think that's bad, then for God's sake don't come across the water to Britain. Over here in many towns and cities that's the norm rather than the exception.

Only difference is over here you don't even need to file taxes. Drop a sprog and the council are throwing money, free houses and childcare at you.

I live in a fairly affluent area, but we have what are called council estates.- It's social housing, either a cheap rent or often paid for in it's entirety by the State. If you drive through, the first thing you will notice is that the grass is always mown by the council, whereas the rest of the town looks untidy due to budget cuts. The second thing you will notice is that most of the cars are still parked up and the curtains are drawn, even at 11AM.

Single mothers and the occasional man (who if he had any self respect would have pumped, dumped, then got a job) can be seen with the obligatory pram, lit cigarette and two/three kids in tow, walking to school every morning. As soon as the eldest kid is school age, the mother is supposed to 'make herself available for work'. In practice, this just means attending a job centre every fortnight, rather than having money wired straight to her bank. Guess what- that's a lot of hassle, so most tend to pop another sprog.

I actually had an on-off 'project girl' from one of the better council estates (in the countryside don't-yoo-know!) She could have had it good, she was accepted to join the Police then fucked up by getting pregnant at 17. Hey presto, single mother, one kid. I've learned a lot from my times with her, and it only strengthened my resolve to make something more of myself.
