Good luck trying to find your way in this world as an angry white conservative. Dying breed as I've said....check the scoreboard.

I had decided to delete my earlier responses to your keyboard warrior accusations and ignored your insinuations that I was a "fool."

But if you're now going to move on to labeling me as a white conservative, I must say your posts are beginning to border on retarded and I'm deeply regretting ever having taken you seriously at all.

Different experiences or not, and no matter what your age, you apparently have a lot of growing up to do.

I wasn't talking to you specifically. I'm talking about the guys on this thread that openly embrace that label.

You've been civil on this thread IMO. You corrected me when I first jumped on this thread based on a misunderstanding I had. It's all good.

Okay, sorry if I took it too personally - that's the way it seemed to me.

I'm going to try my damndest to step out of this thread again, though I know I've threatened that before. The fact that it gets me emotionally riled as a white guy is probably something I need to think about a little myself.

To all the brothers on this forum, I hope I haven't offended anyone too much with the discussion in all the race threads that have gotten so popular here. Obviously America has a long way to go as far as race is concerned.

Just know that any Roosher ever in my neck of the woods is much invited to hit me up and meet, even if we've had words on the forum a time or two. No matter what the color.

Just try not to race troll me over a beer. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Peace.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe.
To be your own man is a hard business. If you try it, you'll be lonely often, and sometimes
frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Kipling

No doubt. It's all good.

For me, I think America is moving ahead. The thing about the internet is it invites extremely prejudiced thinkers to say the type of things they would never have gall to say openly in real life because it would jeopardize their careers, social networks and even personal safety in some instances. To me that's progress. Ain't nobody got time to hear the losing side (angry white conservatives) offer "solutions" to the problems facing the US in general, let alone those pertaining to blacks.

I wasn't talking to you specifically on those posts. I'm talking about the guys on this thread that openly embrace that conservative label and don't even post anything of merit, let alone worthy of response. You, MikeCF, and Fisto have all asked questions on this thread. That suggests to me that you all have come here to have a discussion. You've also cited specific experiences of all kinds you've had with black people. That's why there's no reason to hate on your views since you all are capable of having a civil discussion based on merit.

One must wonder about the guy who posts incessantly about the experiences of other races, in a highly charged manner, yet does not admit to any kind of ignorance whatsoever.

I can understand where Beyond Borders is coming from in a way. It really is difficult to ascertain what is real racism and what may be imagination when you hear statements like whites rejoice not being black.

When hearing crazy stuff like that, it just puts doubt about other things being discussed that are real.

As for experiencing black culture, it will probably never fully happen for white people. I live in a predominately black neighborhood. I am not treated the same as other black neighbors. I can see the difference in the way they approach me, speak to me and their mannerisms.

Not all neighbors treat me different but many do.
