Best documentaries you have ever seen?

This experimental movie/documentary completely obliterated my mind when I watched it 8 months ago. Provided, I was heavily into "psychedelic investigations" and I watched it under an altered state of mind. I'm watching it again this afternoon with some friends. A la SJW, I must trigger warning you, it is really really hard to watch, specially if you plan to do it with the help of plants, which some recommend to do. It is a really worthwhile experience nonetheless.

If you like it the same director has another film in the same vein, called Baraka. I would appreciate if you would share with me your experience watching Samsara if you decide to do so.

I watched it a few years back with a very horny Swiss girl then went back to her place and gave her some pipe.
But I digress, the documentary itself was both fascinating and somewhat depressing. I probably didn't give it enough attention as myself and the Swiss chick were getting warmed up already in the cinema.

The documentary "Happy" is probably the best I've seen as it is the only one to actually have a real effect on my life.

It's a piece on the study of human happiness, the things that govern it, and the misconceptions we have about it. It shows you that most of the things you believe will make you happy are taught to you and have little to know bearing on your actual quality of life. It also shows you that humans are extremely resilient and although we may suffer great emotional pain due to grief or some other critical experiences, the pain is generally short lived and very manageable.

All of these I watched on Netflix. Not 100% sure if they are still there. If they are, I highly recommend:

"CT Fletcher: My Magnificent Obsession", was awesome. Really cool to see how he has evolved over the years, the struggles, and the passion he has for lifting.

"Pumping Iron," starred a few body builders on their quest for Mr. Universe Mr. Olympia. Arnold is in it along with Lou Ferrigno and others.

"Bodyguards: Secret Lives from the Watchtower," was pretty entertaining. Shows the lives of different bodyguards and heads of security for celebrities and politicians. The training and the stories these guys tell are badass.

Reporter: What keeps you awake at night?
General James "Mad Dog" Mattis: Nothing, I keep other people awake at night.

My favorites are pretty nerdy:

"Human Planet"...BBC/Discovery 8 episode series. Shows modern day humans in extreme environments.

"Happy People: A Year in the Taiga"...Herzog documentary. Like Grizzly Man, it's some other dude's footage that Herzog fell in love with and did the voice over.

"Tiger: Spy in the Jungle"...follows four tiger cubs to adulthood in India's Pench National Park. They use tree trunk cams and people filming from atop elephants.

I think they're all on Netflix.

Edit: I'm going to consult this thread in the near future for sure...my next mid-week evening I'm just sitting there.
