What's your favorite music album of 2013 so far?
I've been out of the loop for a while now. I haven't heard much I've been into lately. I think the newest music I have is Kendrick Lamar.
The new Quadron is dope if you're into progressive soul. Ditto for Jessie Ware. The new Toro y Moi is on heavy rotation for me. Gary Clark Jr.

The videos below also have reflections on raising kids as a single dad, going through divorce, and life as an older player...

It's basically an off shoot of southern hip hop, with more intricate snare and hi hats, deep bass, strings, and brass. trap beats are very big and all over the place now. It's been called "the new dubstep" in that sense. I'll probably be sick of it soon, but right now I haven't gotten desensitized to it yet.
