Should I buy an unlimited stand-by yearly flight pass?

Hey Scotian, you must be working up up in Fort Mac. I'm back in NS working till fall and then probably heading back for shut down season. My buds are trying to get me on a job with them, month on month off. I'm considering it and flights in/out are included, but I think Halifax might have to be my home city. That pass sounds like the golden ticket. If I can't get my home city as Medellin, I'm gonna do some digging and see what's available in terms of passes like these out here.

Hello All

It's been a while since someone replied, so I thought I'd do the honor. Forgive me...[Image: angel.gif]

I wanted to know if any one of you may have access to someone who would be willing to sell a Companion Pass for United Airlines or other airlines. Or may you work for an airline and have quite a bit of seniority and would be willing to sell your Companion Pass? [Image: blush.gif]

I live in the Houston area, hence the preference for United Airlines, but I'm willing to look at other airlines. I'm looking to travel quite a bit from Houston to London so a Companion Pass would be most ideal instead paying $1500 for a regular ticket all the time. I know it's going to be standby, but I'm willing to take that risk.

If any one of you know, I'm sure we can work a deal. I would highly appreciate it.

Thanks again yall

Exactly.

But there are limitations. You have to be really flexible because you're going to be on stand-by and it all depends on the seniority of the person whom you purchase the companion pass from.

FYI, It is against employee policy to sell companion passes. Airlines' corporate security departments will track this shit to the end of the Earth. You can be 100% sure they run google searches on this type of thing.

Google Search

With that said, the employee who sells a pass will get shitcanned and be held liable for the entire retail value of the flights traveled. Two biz class roundtrips to Asia? You're talking 15-20k. I believe you also need to sign a form stating you did not purchase the pass... possibly putting you on the hook legally. You will be SOL on whatever you paid to him if hes caught.

Proceed with caution.
