For those of you who wear an undershirt in humid climates, doesn't the undershirt make it even hotter?

This. Skin tight sport v necks are perfect under any upper body clothing. They allow you to unbutton a little without showing collar and they prevent sweat marks from appearing even when it's hot as fuck in some place.

I could personally give less of a fuck about the feel of fabric against my nipples, but he brings up some valid points:
* Undershirts lessen and prevent visible sweat stains
* Proper layering can help you stay warm in winter (and winter is coming)
* Keeps good shirts from getting stained
