One of those things I've always wanted to read, but never got around to it.
I finally got around to it.
It's a very short read, 100 pages - can be handled in about 1-2 hours.
Chapter 1 - The Game
Chapter 2 - The Players
Chapter 3 - Center of Attention
Chapter 4 - Knocking: How to make a Ho a Ho
Chapter 5 - No Deposit, No Return
Chapter 6 - Yes Master
Chapter 7 - Game Recognizes Game
If you're familiar with any hip hop, especially the stuff from the Bay Area (Oakland CA), you've pretty much heard all of the terms
- pimps
- macks
- players
- bottom bitch
- ho's
- hustlers
- game tight
- peep game
- the game is to be sold and not told
- game recognizes game
- sole controller
Et cetera. And you think you know what they mean until you hear an actual pimp use them in context.
That's one of the most striking things about the book. It's full of self-aggrandizement, but once you get past the puffery - he weaves in enough truism's and thoughts you've never articulated that it becomes very convincing.
Chapter 1 - what you would expect, the Game is everywhere, and if you're not playing you're a trick. I've been in enough black barbershops and locker rooms to hear enough axioms and adages about the world around us. In PUA speak, this is a discussion of the Matrix, and how everything is pretty much an illusion, and there are people pulling the strings.
He even touches on the idea that a lot of cat owners think about. Do we own the cat, or does the cat own us?
One of the most important ideas he puts forth in this first chapter is the idea of distance. The person in power wants distance between him and his workers.
And this is when the light bulbs for me start to go off. Why have the decisions makers/movers and shakers/rain makers in my corporate jobs so inaccessible to people on the line? ...
In one of the closing bits of world mastery he talks about how do you estimate the income of a restaurant?
The amateur counts the # of customers.
The pro counts the #'s of employees and then back calculates what the employer has to be paying them - then he gets a sense of what kind of money is being laid out.
Now I'm sure now that i've laid out the example, your first instinct is try and dismantle the argument - but the trick here was that the author correctly predicts where your first thought would be - count the # of customers.
Part of pulling chicks on a regular basis using just your verbal skill is understanding the natural flow and topics of a conversation with a stranger - and then when you know where her mind is naturally going to going to go, you magically zag instead of zig - to her squealing and utter delight.
When you debrief your broads, see if you can get them to tell you when they knew they were gonna sleep with you, fall for you.
Chapter 2 - The Players
Mickey opens with a line from King Lear, "The prince of darkness is a gentleman", Act III, Scene IV, - Edgar speaking...
What King Lear? In a pimp book?
He starts to describe what a pimp is NOT in the 1st chapter, and here he delves into what a pimp is. In essence, the big hat and platform gold fish shoes aren't what a pimp is. (those are actually Macks).
The pimp is a vampire. In the shadows, out for blood and souls....
"A true pimp doesn't have sex with his women for a specific reason. A pimp who succumbs to the temptations of his women will be put in the same category as a trick by his ho...A pimp has to be above his product..."
I almost stopped reading @ that point. What's the point of learning pimp mind games if it's not about fucking hot chicks?
Royal continues about what true pimping really is. It trails off into what I consider the theoretical, but it delves more into what power is about.
It's not pretty.
"You're a prisoner in the life you've chosen" And he doesn't make the life sound at all appealing. ...
Then he throws this out.
"A pimp is a room to his ho (renter) and a pimp becomes whatever she needs a father, brother, protector, child, lover, or what-ever"
Those of you who have been in long term relationships start to see some light. When a chick says she needs a man in her life, she usually means all of these things, and you will fill all of these roles for her.
....
I could drop more interesting points, but a lot of what Mickey drops you can find in what some of the old school PUA stuff used to teach, before the concept of hypergamy took over everything.
He discusses the Mack - the flashy guy - he has sex with his women.
When ho's choose pimps, who they give their souls to
Macks choose ho's..
"A mack is dangerous because he's full of smiles, firm handshakes, and inviting eye contact"..
Hmm, who does that sound like?
A ho feels like she's making an investment with a mack as opposed to the complete servitude relationship with a pimp.
....
The descriptions get better, and pretty much offer up what we consider "pick up" or "game".
The Ho - she doesn't want money, she wants something intangible which she gets from her Man.
"a ho exchanges something she can see for something she can't. this leaves the door open for exploitation, abuse, and misuse."
"the ho is the most difficult to understand. She raises the "why" question. A ho is never happy, never satisfied. She is looking and searching for a world that doesn't exist...She pays a pimp for entry into her fairytale world"
^^This the same principle as when the Game Gurus talk about creating the bubble of you and her. NLP where you future project. We called it selling the dream.
...
I'll move on to the next chapter, but you could easily rewrite this book as a Blue Pill Sales Manual or a Red Pill treatise on deconstruction of the world around you.
It's very different than the sort of thing that Cialdini talks about (imo)
Chapter 3 - Center of Attention
To become a pimp you have to become the center of attention. Royal advocates basically disappearing from your social circle.
This where the book falls down to me, cause out of sight, basically out of mind. Me not seeing my friends, family, and extended acquaintances would never transform me into a dude where everyone hangs on my words to find out what's really going on.
By the same token, The homey G-Manifesto can not post for a few days and people are asking if he's alright, is he okay.
So take my salt with a grain of salt.
A key idea - in discussing whether or not a pimp should choose his ho's or have his ho's choose him
"Fidel Castro is all powerful in Cuba only. He has no power in Japan. That's why it's so important to be chosen"
Chapter 4 - Knocking - How to Make a Ho
2 methods
a) turning her out - which means you go into a chick's world and blow it up by showing her what life with you would be like. She then shows you off to all of her friends, and you repeat the process - before long you've got a stable.
b) pull her away from everything she loves - "your mission is to be her oxygen, her lifeline"
From there, Mickey starts to talk about all the things that you hear about with respect to the Pimp Game. I'm not trying to give folks ammunition by listing them here, but I don't think anyone would advocate any of this kinda stuff for simply trying to break the ice with the hot chick at the dance club.
He then discusses what happens after she chooses to let you into her life (and run it).
"it's show time"
"Your every detail will be noticed. She wants to make sure she has chosen correctly, so she will be closely looking for flaws and even testing you. She will try to anger you, love you, basically, get a rise out of you."
"you're only to show sings of mortality when she delivers something you can touch"
^this is part of the conditioning most of the PUA guys talk about, but never frame in such awful language. (OMG they're turning us into slaves) She wants love and affection from you, you want sex from her. In order to get that from you, she has to give you what you want. There used to be a routine for this called diamonds and gold.
"how does he take the pain away? He takes her away from the pain. He takes her places that she's never been, places that don't resemble the nightmare called her life"
^^sound familiar? Sound like lifestyle game?...
Have you been pimping bitches all this time w/o knowing it?
"she can't receive a fantasy until she has decided to deliver some reality"
............
I can't stop quoting this dude, here's another little nugget.
3 rules
"you'll rarely see a woman just sitting in front of the tv after work with a beer and a sob story.
Number 1, Women want. ...If there is a want, there's an opportunity for macking and/or pimping.
Number 2 - Women are never satisfied - They bore easily. Women crave danger. They lust for spontaneity and have a need to be rescued by the strong....I've seen women purposely creation a situation to be "saved" where none previously existed.
Number 3 - Women have a strong need to be protected and revered.
Chapter 5 - No deposit, no return
"you don't do anything for her without receiving sex"..
This chapter is a continuation of the knock chapter, but basically how you reframe her reward system. ...
Again, it's better to read than paraphrase.
Here's an interesting quote.
"The reason most people are unhappy is because life isn't enough. Work, Home, kids, bills...4 things that take. Now enters the pimp who only wants to GIVE. How can she resist, he meets her needs.."
Chapter 6 - Yes, Master
You stay on top by delivering what she wants and by playing on her insecurities.
More of the same follows, but he steps out of the pimp/ho dynamic to talk about life in general
"Don't underestimate the tunnel vision stupidity of human beings. Find out what they want, and get it. Give them a taste. Let them develop a blinding uncontrollable lust, and then offer it to them. At that point, you can name your price.
Chapter 7 - Game Recognizes Game
He brings it back to corporate America
"A mack talks to all of his ho's at once, they're a a team and he comes across as if he's going to work with them"
"A pimp talks to his ho's one at a time. Why? A ho may feel embarrassed by what a pimp asks her to do. If there are no witnesses, there is no embarrassment"...
.....................
Reading this book will give you a different perspective on game and on human motivation. Clearly he takes it to places that we wouldn't go, but understanding the underlying psychology of how normal people find themselves in fucked up situations is important.
