Mickey Royal - The Pimp Game Instructional Guide

One of those things I've always wanted to read, but never got around to it.

I finally got around to it.

It's a very short read, 100 pages - can be handled in about 1-2 hours.

Chapter 1 - The Game
Chapter 2 - The Players
Chapter 3 - Center of Attention
Chapter 4 - Knocking: How to make a Ho a Ho
Chapter 5 - No Deposit, No Return
Chapter 6 - Yes Master
Chapter 7 - Game Recognizes Game

If you're familiar with any hip hop, especially the stuff from the Bay Area (Oakland CA), you've pretty much heard all of the terms
- pimps
- macks
- players
- bottom bitch
- ho's
- hustlers
- game tight
- peep game
- the game is to be sold and not told
- game recognizes game
- sole controller

Et cetera. And you think you know what they mean until you hear an actual pimp use them in context.

That's one of the most striking things about the book. It's full of self-aggrandizement, but once you get past the puffery - he weaves in enough truism's and thoughts you've never articulated that it becomes very convincing.

Chapter 1 - what you would expect, the Game is everywhere, and if you're not playing you're a trick. I've been in enough black barbershops and locker rooms to hear enough axioms and adages about the world around us. In PUA speak, this is a discussion of the Matrix, and how everything is pretty much an illusion, and there are people pulling the strings.

He even touches on the idea that a lot of cat owners think about. Do we own the cat, or does the cat own us?

One of the most important ideas he puts forth in this first chapter is the idea of distance. The person in power wants distance between him and his workers.

And this is when the light bulbs for me start to go off. Why have the decisions makers/movers and shakers/rain makers in my corporate jobs so inaccessible to people on the line? ...

In one of the closing bits of world mastery he talks about how do you estimate the income of a restaurant?

The amateur counts the # of customers.
The pro counts the #'s of employees and then back calculates what the employer has to be paying them - then he gets a sense of what kind of money is being laid out.

Now I'm sure now that i've laid out the example, your first instinct is try and dismantle the argument - but the trick here was that the author correctly predicts where your first thought would be - count the # of customers.

Part of pulling chicks on a regular basis using just your verbal skill is understanding the natural flow and topics of a conversation with a stranger - and then when you know where her mind is naturally going to going to go, you magically zag instead of zig - to her squealing and utter delight.

When you debrief your broads, see if you can get them to tell you when they knew they were gonna sleep with you, fall for you.

Chapter 2 - The Players

Mickey opens with a line from King Lear, "The prince of darkness is a gentleman", Act III, Scene IV, - Edgar speaking...

What King Lear? In a pimp book?

He starts to describe what a pimp is NOT in the 1st chapter, and here he delves into what a pimp is. In essence, the big hat and platform gold fish shoes aren't what a pimp is. (those are actually Macks).

The pimp is a vampire. In the shadows, out for blood and souls....

"A true pimp doesn't have sex with his women for a specific reason. A pimp who succumbs to the temptations of his women will be put in the same category as a trick by his ho...A pimp has to be above his product..."

I almost stopped reading @ that point. What's the point of learning pimp mind games if it's not about fucking hot chicks?

Royal continues about what true pimping really is. It trails off into what I consider the theoretical, but it delves more into what power is about.

It's not pretty.

"You're a prisoner in the life you've chosen" And he doesn't make the life sound at all appealing. ...

Then he throws this out.

"A pimp is a room to his ho (renter) and a pimp becomes whatever she needs a father, brother, protector, child, lover, or what-ever"

Those of you who have been in long term relationships start to see some light. When a chick says she needs a man in her life, she usually means all of these things, and you will fill all of these roles for her.

....

I could drop more interesting points, but a lot of what Mickey drops you can find in what some of the old school PUA stuff used to teach, before the concept of hypergamy took over everything.

He discusses the Mack - the flashy guy - he has sex with his women.

When ho's choose pimps, who they give their souls to
Macks choose ho's..

"A mack is dangerous because he's full of smiles, firm handshakes, and inviting eye contact"..

Hmm, who does that sound like?

A ho feels like she's making an investment with a mack as opposed to the complete servitude relationship with a pimp.

....

The descriptions get better, and pretty much offer up what we consider "pick up" or "game".

The Ho - she doesn't want money, she wants something intangible which she gets from her Man.

"a ho exchanges something she can see for something she can't. this leaves the door open for exploitation, abuse, and misuse."

"the ho is the most difficult to understand. She raises the "why" question. A ho is never happy, never satisfied. She is looking and searching for a world that doesn't exist...She pays a pimp for entry into her fairytale world"

^^This the same principle as when the Game Gurus talk about creating the bubble of you and her. NLP where you future project. We called it selling the dream.

...

I'll move on to the next chapter, but you could easily rewrite this book as a Blue Pill Sales Manual or a Red Pill treatise on deconstruction of the world around you.

It's very different than the sort of thing that Cialdini talks about (imo)

Chapter 3 - Center of Attention

To become a pimp you have to become the center of attention. Royal advocates basically disappearing from your social circle.

This where the book falls down to me, cause out of sight, basically out of mind. Me not seeing my friends, family, and extended acquaintances would never transform me into a dude where everyone hangs on my words to find out what's really going on.

By the same token, The homey G-Manifesto can not post for a few days and people are asking if he's alright, is he okay.

So take my salt with a grain of salt.

A key idea - in discussing whether or not a pimp should choose his ho's or have his ho's choose him

"Fidel Castro is all powerful in Cuba only. He has no power in Japan. That's why it's so important to be chosen"

Chapter 4 - Knocking - How to Make a Ho

2 methods
a) turning her out - which means you go into a chick's world and blow it up by showing her what life with you would be like. She then shows you off to all of her friends, and you repeat the process - before long you've got a stable.

b) pull her away from everything she loves - "your mission is to be her oxygen, her lifeline"

From there, Mickey starts to talk about all the things that you hear about with respect to the Pimp Game. I'm not trying to give folks ammunition by listing them here, but I don't think anyone would advocate any of this kinda stuff for simply trying to break the ice with the hot chick at the dance club.

He then discusses what happens after she chooses to let you into her life (and run it).

"it's show time"

"Your every detail will be noticed. She wants to make sure she has chosen correctly, so she will be closely looking for flaws and even testing you. She will try to anger you, love you, basically, get a rise out of you."

"you're only to show sings of mortality when she delivers something you can touch"

^this is part of the conditioning most of the PUA guys talk about, but never frame in such awful language. (OMG they're turning us into slaves) She wants love and affection from you, you want sex from her. In order to get that from you, she has to give you what you want. There used to be a routine for this called diamonds and gold.

"how does he take the pain away? He takes her away from the pain. He takes her places that she's never been, places that don't resemble the nightmare called her life"

^^sound familiar? Sound like lifestyle game?...

Have you been pimping bitches all this time w/o knowing it?

"she can't receive a fantasy until she has decided to deliver some reality"

............

I can't stop quoting this dude, here's another little nugget.

3 rules

"you'll rarely see a woman just sitting in front of the tv after work with a beer and a sob story.

Number 1, Women want. ...If there is a want, there's an opportunity for macking and/or pimping.

Number 2 - Women are never satisfied - They bore easily. Women crave danger. They lust for spontaneity and have a need to be rescued by the strong....I've seen women purposely creation a situation to be "saved" where none previously existed.

Number 3 - Women have a strong need to be protected and revered.

Chapter 5 - No deposit, no return

"you don't do anything for her without receiving sex"..

This chapter is a continuation of the knock chapter, but basically how you reframe her reward system. ...

Again, it's better to read than paraphrase.

Here's an interesting quote.

"The reason most people are unhappy is because life isn't enough. Work, Home, kids, bills...4 things that take. Now enters the pimp who only wants to GIVE. How can she resist, he meets her needs.."

Chapter 6 - Yes, Master

You stay on top by delivering what she wants and by playing on her insecurities.

More of the same follows, but he steps out of the pimp/ho dynamic to talk about life in general

"Don't underestimate the tunnel vision stupidity of human beings. Find out what they want, and get it. Give them a taste. Let them develop a blinding uncontrollable lust, and then offer it to them. At that point, you can name your price.

Chapter 7 - Game Recognizes Game

He brings it back to corporate America

"A mack talks to all of his ho's at once, they're a a team and he comes across as if he's going to work with them"

"A pimp talks to his ho's one at a time. Why? A ho may feel embarrassed by what a pimp asks her to do. If there are no witnesses, there is no embarrassment"...

.....................

Reading this book will give you a different perspective on game and on human motivation. Clearly he takes it to places that we wouldn't go, but understanding the underlying psychology of how normal people find themselves in fucked up situations is important.

Out of curiosity where did you find this book? I was looking and apparently due to the subject matter, places like Barnes and Nobel and other online retailers/resellers have opted not to sell it. I saw a few copies going second hand for $60-$250.

The pdf is out there for free.

I read Iceberg Slim back in high school, it completely changed my world view. I wonder what rereading it would do now.

If you are going to impose your will on the world, you must have control over what you believe.

The book is a BIG eyeopener, but for me it fails and the main questions stay.

1) Pimping is just business. You cannot pimp somebody who doesn't want something. You have to be able to give that something to her/him in order to give them "the taste". What the hell do women want and how the fuck can you demonstrate that you can give that to them?
2) If you extrapolate this to pickup. If you enter a club full of hotties, what does a hb8, 9 or 10 want? She has already everything and if you can give her the attention/love/sex/daddyfigure/alphaman she craves for, there will always be somebody within her reach to give it better.
3) How can you find out what she wants? How to dig in her deepest soul in the short amount of time you get (eg. in a club) and have that heart in a stranglehold in your hand?

Imho, every woman is a prostitute. The ones that have holes in their existence and heavy needs are the only ones who actually do the act, except for housewives of course. She always gives the money to the person who has what she wants. He can also be the car dealer around the corner or the schoolteacher of her child.

When you go out at night looking for sex what you are really looking for is a girl with a weakness you can exploit. The weakness can be anything: she's drunk, she is feeling bad about something, she finds you very attractive, she's just horny and wants to get laid, etc. etc. A girl without a weakness is a girl you are not going to get sex from that night. Like an animal hunting in the wild, a SNL is about finding an opportunity NOT a specific type of girl.

And this is basically what a pimp does on a different level. He is an expert at detecting and exploiting a weakness in a woman. He then uses that weakness to bind her to him and in turn uses that emotional bond to exploit her. Most guys on here are just looking for sex so they won't understand a pimp's mentally. Guys are looking to buy sex be it with game, money, or resources. A pimp is looking to sell it. For a pimp the joy is not sex, it's not even money, it's power - the power of owning the hearts, mind, and pussy of a few damaged women.

I found the pdf online too and read this in one night. Real interesting book and if the terminology had been something more palatable like boss/owner (pimp), Freelancer (mack), manager (bottom bitch), employee (ho), and customer (trick) it would likely be very popular in the mainstream.

Also I wished the book explored the concept that a person could fill all of these roles depending on the circumstances they find themselves in. While being a boss at work and a mack in relationships, when dealing with family they could take on the role of middle manager or employee and day to day act as a customers to other organizations/systems and vice versa.

Another thing I found interesting was as WIA said the majority of PUA artist would be considered macks. Macks in the book can be described as individuals who are trying to enjoy the proceeds of a relationship without being tied down to one female due to their understanding of the game (ie power dynamics between people and the system).

As a freelancer pua's are someone who pursues gaming girls while being independent (as in "independent contractor") without being tied down to one girl. Except for lifestyle game and pipelining pua's rarely try to create concrete systems to attain girls that would be activities more in line with being a boss (pimp). Also included in the book was the fact that people would be jealous of a mack's success and freedom as an independent man and would for no reason try to stab them in the back and displace them for their own perceived gain. Those people are the random cornballs who cockblock pua's when they are gaming girls.

This book also got me thinking about the system and how when it comes to the power dynamics of relationships women are usually placed in the position of being a boss (pimp). Men choose women as long term mates (putting the pussy on a pedestal) and to gain their attention often give them things of value (money, gifts, time) to gain their favor. These are the same action a ho takes when she is being knocked in the book.

This activity usually leads to the man forming a long term binding contract with a woman either through marriage or pregnancy that indentures the man to paying the woman regardless if the woman decide to move on to another male herself. This is further reinforced by the system though alimony and child support. That is why men becoming aware of the truth and trying to limit the possibility of being caught in these relationship traps is looked down upon by the system.

That fact also explains why feminist hate PUA's it changes the power dynamic of relationships from out of women's favor/control and into men. Currently they are the boss, if the idea of men having sex without forming bonding ties were to spread. That would limit their ability to increase their control over weaker willed men who might learn from this information.

While we think of their relationship acivities as being nonsense or as Hamstering they see it as displays of their privelage of being women in a system that gives them power. That why Feminist praise women for the same activities they would criticize a man for. Its all thought management on their part as a way to have control over (pimp) weaker willed men.

Great summary.

With respect to the changing roles aspect, Royal seems to be tied to the idea that you are born a pimp, and then through some contortion, you're taught pimping by your bottom bitch.

I got to disagree with that since the ruthless attitude needed to become a boss (pimp) could be learned. Its just rarer the older you get because it would force somebody to buck their predetermined role in the system. Also the mindset and assets needed to take the risk to build that type of system are even rarer.

Then again perhaps what the writer means is that deep down that level of ruthless is always there in a potential boss (pimp) and circumstances just provoke it. I know this is a fictional example but look at the character Walter White from "breaking bad". He has shown numerous times that he is verywilling to pay the cost and take the risk needed to be the boss over his own system. The impetus for his rise in drug game was supporting his family after his eventual death by cancer.

Also the idea of Bottom bitch can be seen too Jesse (aka Walter's number one employee/bottom bitch) is the one who taught Walter the drug game and has often supported Walt regardless of how bad Walt has treated him. On the flip Walt has been loyal to Jesse often to but always makes a point to establish his superiority and dominance over Jesse whenever he get a chance. Just like a pimp would do to his bottom bitch.

However the acts he has taken are far from normal from somebody in that position. That cold hearted bastard alter ego Heisenberg that he uses when in the act of business, was always in Walter. His fear of death just allowed that part of himself to take prominence. He even goes to extremes to maintain his privacy and discretion while performing his boss duties and maintaining his criminal system similar to how Royal described the actions of a pimp.

On the flip for a very long time he maintained the facade of an nice guy employee to the school system and doting husband to his bossy wife and the second he let the boss side of his personality bleed into those relationships they were all ruined. Just as Royal discussed a Pimp should separate himself from friends and family likely to avoid this bleed over. This leads me into believing that even a pimp needs to know when to act in another role or he will face unnecessary resistance to achieving his goal.

Ya'll should check out How to Be a Motherfucking Pimp by Dazzle Razzle. It is a different level than Mickey Royal. I like him, but Dazzle Razzle takes the top award for formulating the Game and offering comprehensive technique.

There are free copies of it everywhere. Give it a Google and see

For any interested, Mickey Royal is dropping a new book this spring - "Pimping Ain't Easy, but Somebody's Gotta Do It".

I'll try to keep an eye out for when it's available.

If you are going to impose your will on the world, you must have control over what you believe.
