Roosh's 2013 Prediction Has Pretty Much Come True

I'm surprised this article hasn't come up yet:

https://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/...?nopager=1

Although it doesn't give you much hope when the author describes the "manosphere" as:

"an informal constellation of sites and chat rooms devoted to video games, sports, science fiction, libertarian politics, and pornography of varying degrees of loathsomeness."

At least he noticed the 'sphere. I suspect the author is merely a TradCon white knight.

Roosh skewers the "manosphere":

The Manosphere Is Lost

Best line:

Quote:Quote:

The manosphere used to be full of Biggies and Tupacs—now everyone is tripping over themselves to be Drake, blogging and commenting in the hopes they may get laid. (I apologize in advance to the large number of neo-Nazis in the manosphere for comparing them to a man of non-Aryan race.) It’s hard for me to accept that the manosphere is well on its way to becoming a match.com for old people who hate blacks.

I never bought into the whole "manosphere" thing. I have said on more than a few occasions the word "manosphere" sounded to me like a gay nightclub in Amsterdam.

And I still don't even know what "hypergamy" means.

This concept of "mainstream culture"...it's subtle. The entire world won't go instantly red pill overnight, or ever. But that's good. It means we have an edge still, but we're also accomplishing something better. We HAVE TO distance ourselves appropriately from some crap, and reject many elements, but also not totally alienate everyone. Hopefully the mainstream media will pick up on only basics and not make running game harder. I don't want competition.

The whole manosphere thing may be approaching a tipping point. There's already been a general consensus on this forum that pretty much all the game material has already been covered in some form. Beyond that, there are tons of articles about Feminism, unfair treatment of men in family law courts, business and making money, health and fitness, travel, etc. This forum alone has already covered pretty much all these issues exhaustively and that's not even counting the sites that have tons of blog posts or articles about the same topics.

We may be entering a time where some of the original guys involved with the important manosphere sites start to walk away because there's honestly nothing left to cover. If there is any kind of mainstream attention given to these ideas, it may be in a different form than we're used to because many of the original players may either just stop caring or get off the front lines, while others take up some of these causes and make them more socially acceptable. We're already seeing that with some of the females who have been given media exposure for writing about issues that they weren't the first ones to notice.

It's amazing how with internet collaboration people can start with a group of concepts and totally exhaust all the possibilities within a few years.

It eill be more and more aboutmakign money (passively) and travel

i.e. finding poosy paradises to visit or live for 6-7 months at a time.

That's been my personal goal for years now before I even leanred of manospohere blkah blah stuff. Hell, My FATHER told me not to get married when I was 13! That's something I Never forgot and followed.

but yeah travel wont die out, because poosy paradises will always be on the move. one place comes up while another burns out.

marrying up

The term hypergamy actually refers to a woman's seeking of the highest-quality genes. People like Susan Walsh of Hooking Up Smart redefined it to mean "marrying up" and I've seen most people using that definition (so much so, it's now referenced on the Wikipedia page for hypergamy).

A woman's act of marrying a guy who is richer than her isn't hypergamy in itself. For instance, she might then go and cheat on him, and get pregnant by another (more alpha) guy. That SECOND act is an act of hypergamy.

Men naturally favor polygamy (spreading their genes to many partners), while women favor hypergamy (seeking out the highest-quality genes they can secure, without risking their survival).

Whether this thing (the "manosphere" or whatever it's called) becomes more influential has very little to do with whether its ideas have been fully formed. In fact, the idea-formation stage is always a stage of infancy. The last original feminist book was The Feminine Mistique, but feminism is more powerful now than when it was written. There's no reason to think that the founders of this new set of ideas will "walk away" from what they believe. Indeed, the demand for more books from Roosh will probably increase. Is he going to walk away from greater opportunities? For what?

Idea formation is just the beginning, not the end.

I was chatting with my friend the other day about the manosphere and ROK. He's only heard from the site from Buzzfeed, so he just calls it "that sexist site". I told him how it was really about self improvement, no response.

He also told me during the conversation "IMO women look best after 30".
