It's been posted elsewhere and it's really just another of a myriad of examples of the failings of family courts, but it's nice to see this girl taking a stand with her father.
TL,DW: UK girl at the age of 16 is not old enough to know who she wants to live with correctly from the states point of view. State workers dismiss everything she tells them unless it can be used in a light to paint the father as an abusive person. She is separated from her 7 year old sister, who is given even less say in this situation.
At no point do family courts consider what the family might want.
