Female desire: It’s base, animalistic and ravenous

Saw this article a few days ago.
"Being a slut is OK, in fact, it's better than OK, it's what you're supposed to do, check out our science that proves it!"
Women inherently know that being slutty is an aberration against their nature, so to resolve cognitive dissonance they turn to science* to rationalize their behavior.

* "Science" of course, as in, sociology... A floundering and largely made up social science comprised mostly of women (no conflict of interest there, right?) So, yeah, not science.

Yawn.

Of course women desire sex with reckless abandon. I didn't realise anyone here was under any kind of different impression

It deserves to be listed on bridal registries — gay and straight. It could single-spine-edly replace at least a quarter of the sexual self-help section and the world would be better for it. It is a revelation, a story of redemption. I laughed, I almost cried — with joy. I was turned on, even. You want a female Viagra? This book is as close as we have to it.

Even their book choices are driven by their libidos. 50 shades of crazy cat lady anyone?

That article reads like apologism for female cuckoldry by implying monogamy works better for men than for women and that society should embrace the idea of polyandry.

It does get the rape fantasy and narcissistic sexuality right though.

It's funny how they're trumpeting this as some kind of great news breakthrough for women.

In reality, they're simply regurgitating what has been known for millennia and which was codified in the laws of almost every society on the planet: namely, that the female sex drive is not something that women themselves can control, and that society must therefore make laws and customs to restrict it. In the absence of such concrete social and legal boundaries, women's uncontrolled sexuality will soon destroy marriage and the family, and before long, society itself.

It's only base and animalistic when you tap into that old school caveman gangbang scenario where she fucks every guy in the tribe so nobody kills her kids - since there's no way of telling who is the father. Otherwise it makes little sense for a woman to be as promiscuous as a man.

Next thing you know, they are going to state that a woman doesn't peak sexually until her 30s, well after her physical prime.

He trumpets the science of it when it backs up the 'women love sex' ideas, but when his tests prove the, ahem, less civilized inclinations of women, well culture's to blame.

Q: Since we’re on the topic of rape fantasies, can we talk about why they are so common among women?

A: I mean here, again, I want to be careful because, number one, I’m a man. You know I’ve listened a lot at this point and asked a lot of relentless questions, but my answer is going to be inherently a fallible one.

The force of culture puts some level of shame on women’s sexuality and a fantasy of sexual assault is a fantasy that allows for sex that is completely free of blame. So that’s one reason. Another, which Meana brings up, and which I think is very compelling, is this idea that the feeling of being desired is a very powerful one, a very electrical one. And I think at least at the fantasy level, that sense of being wanted, and being wanted beyond the man’s self-control is also really powerful.

It's an extraordinary stretch. The implication is that not only does modern Western society still shame female sexuality but that it actually ostracizes it more than rape!

Think about that - he's implying that slut-shaming is stronger than rapist-shaming in America today. Otherwise why would woman respond to patriarchal pressures by resorting to rape fantasies? What's troubling is that many feminists would agree that sluts are held in lower regard by society than rapists. Personally, I'd rather debate with members of the Flat Earth Society.
