what would you do?

Buy an Escalade EXT or put the down payment towards new stainless appliances and buy the Caddy in a couple months?

Or, do neither?

Why do you need Stainless steel appliances?

Why do you need to buy an Escalade, is it going to make you money?

I would say neither. Take a trip!

Nether, both are tacky and an escalade doesn't even have 4WD.

Get some cool vintage Mercedes or whatever other vintage vehicle you like (Corvette?) that will keep its value or go up. Fuck the glossy appliances altogether, once you have her at your house it's too late for her to judge. If you really need new appliances, like your refrig doesn't work, buy a used one off Craigslist for 1/4 new price.

I'm guessing you like nice shit and having a polished image?

Buy both. Cadillacs are baller. Stainless Steel appliances / granite countertops etc...are a must of you own a home. Especially if you push an Escalade. You can't have an EXT and live in a shit box of a house.

Neither. Cars are a giant waste of money. You will get much more positive life benefit out of spending a third of that on world travel, plus you'll get to bank the other two thirds.

Disclaimer: I own a 2000 BMW Z3

Check out my occasionally updated travel thread - The Wroclaw Gambit II: Dzięki Bogu - as I prepare to emigrate to Poland.

Depends on your net worth and your values.

I could fliply say that cars are a waste of money, but if you like them, so what. It's your money.

For me, a car isn't worth the cash. The car I'd want would be $500 a month (once you factor in insurance) or $6,000 a year.

I can think of ways to obtain more pleasure for that money.

But if $x/month is worth it to you, go for it.

A lot of my friends have to have cool cars due to their profession. Clients view guys with crappy cars as losers and don't wanna hire a lower.

I personally have a total POS car even though I could afford pretty much any car out there.

It's all about preferences. I'd rather put that cash towards travel than a car. If you would do otherwise, cool.

Say you don't have time for world travel as you are growing your business.

I already know what I am doing, however I'd like to see the varied responses from those living in various parts of the country/world.

And, I play baller game in a land where taking a cab is not normal.

I like the responses so far. Especially Mike's, but as he knows we live in very different areas.

Edit-I already have four vehicles. Will be trading the Avalanche on the new one to stay at four

I say Range Rover over Escalade, though I'm not sure what the price difference is. I'm guessing not a whole lot.
