Walt Disney (RVF Hall of Fame)

Walt Disney (RVF Hall of Fame)

I admit it, I am a huge Disney fan (no homo).

Went to Disney World last year with a lady friend, and had the best trip of my life.

Recently picked up a Walt Disney biography, and his accomplishments are insane. For you guys that are into writing, check out this resume:

1937: Snow White
1940: Pinocchio
1940: Fantasia
1941: Dumbo
1942: Bambi
1950: Treasure Island
1950: Cinderella
1951: Alice in Wonderland
1953: Peter Pan
1955: Lady and the tramp

That resume is INSANE! Some more info on Walt Disney:

Didn't become rich until later in life

Died during construction of Disney World in Orlando

Made a killing with Snow White, did bad with Pinocchio and Alice and Wonderland. Make another killing with Dumbo.

Most of Disney's greatest movies were actually books that he bought the rights to. He had a ton of these movies in the pipeline, but WWII and the great depression held them back.

One of his first big hits was a cartoon called "The skeleton Dance". This is insanely good!

Honestly, the only thing I care about this man is if he is really frozen somewhere in cryogenic storage.

I'll never forget the line by rapper Immortal Technique when he said "Racism, frozen in time like Walt Disney."

And yeah, man was a racist. He hated blacks and Jews more than Jezebel readers hate diet and exercise programs (Miss piggy bitches).

He was a fan of cutting edge/modern art. He even did a surrealist short with Salvador Dali.

Disney's legacy is the massive company that spans numerous fields and industries.

His name will continue to be known as the entertainment giant continues to exist, and that will probably continue far into the future.

Disney is still making tons of $$ just off his old shit. I cant even imagine how many copies of snow white they still sell every year...

He's dead either way if he's frozen, no one has been successfully cryo-preserved.

On another note, these memes on the internet keep destroying my childhood memories of these movies.

Walt Disney is the reason these lizards grow up caring more about there wedding than the man they are gonna marry. Fuck Walt Disney.

Stuff like this impresses me.

I think some of you lads will like the short tv series: THE MEN WHO BUILT AMERICA.. Be careful, that link has popups.

It is basically about APEX ALPHA MALES that made america what it is today. John D. Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford and J.P. Morgan.

rockefeller was hardcore. Vanderbilt was a street pugilist. Andrew Carnegie's second-in-command, Henry Clay Frick was a straight-up thug. He was crowned the "worst american CEO in history". He had no porblem killing his workers or destroying a whole town with flood. the lad was a Class A asshole.

They were competitive and utterly ruthless. no mercy, no pity, no surrender.

Fascinating stuff.

Those were the days when men were men.

If you ever go up to New Port, Rhode Island, they have a bunch of preserved mansions from those guys. It's insane.

They say the United States around 1900 was like Asia today....Land of opportunity.

Destino was gorgeous. I'm surprised I haven't' seen it before.

Disney is the only way I can tolerate musicals. However story wise they dumbed down the classics they were basing the movies on. They often removed how the princess got the prince and the virtues of hardwork. Also there were morals which seemed to be thrown out later on in Disney movies.
