Where does this 'join the Army to kill people for money' phrase come from that I hear so often from civilians? Most soldiers aren't in combat MOSs and the ones that are, are male. No female soldiers or Marines I talked to told me that they enlisted with a desire to experience a firefight. The Army girls I served with were just average girls from working class families, the butch types that joined to test their mettle like MMA fighter Liz Carmouche were quite rare.

Female soldiers in Israel mainly do desk work and intelligence. The men do most of the combat.
