Check out this piece of work by Hanna Rosin over at Slate
Okay, Rosin, understand that if somebody is secure in their sexuality and gender they don't worry about violating rules. Masculine men don't worry about fitting into roles or whatever. Once again, they assume everything is a show, proving my assertion that feminists are narcissists.
Wow, gender roles exist because they are efficient? Did it really take two dudes boning each other with a marriage contract from the state to prove this point? Jesus, these people are just a walking meat-sack of contradictions.
Proving once again how little she knows about the gay community. A lot of gay people don't want to get married, mostly dudes. It is lesbians and some gay men pushing the issue. Of course, gay dudes not wanting to get married isn't a story about oppression. Some annoying fags want to tie the knot with Uncle Sam's rubber stamp - we have some oppression!
Once again, she treats gays as some monolithic entity. Gay dudes and gay woman are polar opposites. I would have no doubt gay females cheat more just because their looks and age matter less, so they have more opportunities to cheat. As for gay dudes, they are both guys so they get the desire for strange. Less than two percent of gay dudes report to be completely monogamous.
Here is an intriguing comment:
What he really means is there is a dominant partner and a submissive partner. Of course there is in every couple. Imagine how difficult would it be to have a perfectly equal relationship. When you gain hand in the relationship, how to give it back? When you lose hand, do you ask for it back?
It is a bunch of delusional keyboard jockies that either have been in a relationship are rank liars who either deny the reality of their personal relationship or just lie with impunity.
Of course, hypergamy screws up this equality stuff up. Of course, gay people will have different relationships. Gay men don't have to deal with female hypergamy. Straight people that worship gay relationship equality don't understand gay relationships

Without those assumptions, gay couples tend to make more logical choices. The one who is the better cook more often makes dinner, without worrying that this might violate some principles of either feminism or masculinity.

Gay dads, studies show, are slightly more likely to have a full time stay at home parent than straight couples. Why? Because much as we hate to hear it, that arrangement is probably more efficient and makes everyone less stressed. But the important lesson here is, the one who stays at home doesn’t need to be the mom.

the great matrimony craze in the gay community.

Mundy tells the story of Dan Savage, who started out wanting to be monogamous until he and his partner had kids, and then they loosened up on that, in order to make their union last. “Monogamish” is what he calls his new model. “Loyalish,” “faithfulish,” anyone out there want to try it?

I know several gay couples, both male and female...guess what? In these relationships one partner DOES take on the masculine role, while the other takes on a more feminine role. And yes, the "traditional" duties of those roles for the most part.
