Aoki probably smoked an eigth by himself and now is awkward and paranoid as fuck in that picture. The dude has weed on his fucking contract rider lol.

Diplo's alpha as fuck though, girls send him naked pictures of themselves on twitter all the time.

This got posted in EE awhile ago:

I'm involved with the local EDM scene for my area, and I've met a lot of these guys. They're usually super chill or get incredibly fucked up. I'll trade stories over PM lol.

As the MC, will you be visible on stage? If so, I'd be crafting some kind of larger-than-life persona to take on when performing. Girls don't want to fuck Thomas Pentz, they want to fuck Diplo, ya dig?

1. Get your rest in while you can. The temptation to party hard right out of the gate will come as the newness and adrenaline of being on the road for the first time hit, but don't be afraid to step out of the action to get the recharge you need. The surest way to fuck this up is to string yourself out and get cranky or snappy with your tourmates.

2. If you can't carry it in one trip, you don't need it in your pack. Here's how I pack for a two month stint in another country. The following will keep me sustained just fine and fits in a normal-sized backpack:
First, get a bunch of gallon-sized ziplock bags. You're going to put the following in them, suck all the air out, sit on them to "shrink-wrap" them, then seal:
3 t-shirts. Fold them individually and put each in a different bag.
One long-sleeve shirt, preferably a dress shirt you don't care about. Go to a thrift store and pick up one if you don't have any.
One hooded sweatshirt.
One pair of jeans. Second pair is optional, in case of travel-related pants-shitting, but adds to bulk and weight.
2-3 pairs boardshorts. I like O'Neill Superfreaks, but you might prefer another. These are so lightweight adding more doesn't hurt.
3 pairs socks.
One pair sandals.

Any medicines and toiletries you need, plus separate copies of the Rxs, goes in another ziplock bag. You can never, by the way, have too much loperamide (Imodium).
One pair tennis shoes gets tied around the bag strap.
Bring a camera.

If you're Suiting Down, bring a garment bag instead and hang your shit immediately wherever you go.

Wear each T-shirt twice. You can wear each pair of socks once, turn it inside out, and wear them again as well. What I do is generally wear the shirts and socks until they get dirty, then just throw them out and buy new ones along the trip. Easier than laundry on the move - and, depending on your itinerary, cheaper as well.

Are you going to be in Europe? Let me know the locations you are going to be at. I can guess most of the cities you will be hitting up but if I'm nearby we could try and swing something!

I think most of the advice has been given already. I haven't been on tour but have been in the EDM scene for a while. Late nights/mornings (however you want to define it) combined with the drugs and partying takes it's toll on you.

If you have a serious job to do you flat out can be consuming drugs and partying at 110% night on end. The common saying in Hollywood is that it is all an illusion and that's true to an extent. No one becomes successful in their craft by partying and fucking hoes 24/7. Their energy is put into their work with the occasional big ass celebration.

I would say you should treat it as serious as you would any other job while partying strategically.
