I agree with this post, but want to address some of the negative links.

First, saying "Russian women" is like saying "rock music," meaning it can encompass a lot of things. I went to college in an area with a lot of Russian women (and women from the Ukraine, which was once part of the Soviet Union). From experience you can roughly divide these women into two types:

1). The club sluts. These are the women who the Russian guys (see above) warn about. They're shallow, materialistic, deceptive...in other words, just like their counterparts in America and every other country. If you want a show pony, go for these girls but watch your wallet...if not your sanity.

2). The "worker bees." These are the women you want. They go to school, study hard, become professionals...but without the unpleasant "fuck you" attitude American women have. And without the obesity, the eating disorders, the emotional baggage, etc. Often, they are traditional and close with their moms. To me, they're like American women used to be in the '50s and '60s (contrary to feminist revisionism, women did have jobs and go to college then). Anyway, these are the ones you get serious with -- esp. if they're Jewish. Rock musician "E" from the Eels was married to one who was a doctor.

I recently was in touch with a singer from the East Coast whose FB page showed him with a taller, pleasant-looking blonde. Just one look and I knew she was Russian. Sure enough, her page said she went to school in "Kyiv, Ukraine." I don't want to "out" this guy here because making his relationship a spectacle might screw it up. But these women do exist and I'd advise younger guys who want those old-fashioned things we used to call "relationships" to head in this direction. As for me, I'm perusing her friend's list -- hehe.

Without being controversial, your two "types" are a bit simplistic (either the club slut either the marriage material). Look at the profiles on dating sites. Not everybody is looking for love and long-term relationships. Casual sex is as common as ever in Russia. Furthermore, most girls know exactly what they are getting into when dating and/or fucking foreigners - they just expect to enjoy the ride, but not that it lasts forever. I've even had women tell me to not take things so seriously... it was just sex - and it wasn't sluts, but normal "serious" women.

I wouldn't really trust ANY russian women (I have screwed dozens of married women, girls with fiancees, local and foreign boyfriends etc. without really trying that hard... they seemed to feel no real shame in doing it either) but I can confess that I really adore their passionate, unpredictable nature... they always follow the passion of the moment. Despite their nature, I think that they are very loyal (but maybe not faithful) and loving as well. I couldn't find any better women anywhere. I am not looking to marry one either though (smilie).

Prosal a lof of your conquests are back in France when these girls are on holiday (and more DTF and experiment), no? Or have you experienced this in Russia as well? I generally agree many Russian women cheat...but frankly I think a big part of that is bc practically every married Russian guy I know has action on the side, at least a pro or two from time to time. For local guys with money, access (which everyone pretty much has) and minimal game it's a walk in the park. E.g. my ex here told me that basically every manager in her office was b@ging his assistant.....

Back in the Soviet Union days I have often heard that married couples were basically encouraged to have affairs and other lovers - the Soviets even made a point of scheduling work 'offsites' for 1-2 weeks where colleagues basically just got together outsidethe office away from home and an "anything goes" atmosphere pervaded. Think drunken NYC Christmas parties (for those of u who spent a lot of time working in NYC) in the old days but for a week!!

Not so, my experience (wich is rather modest compared some guys I know) comes half from travels on site (not especially Russia, but more globally FSU) and half from Russian girls on holidays here. That said, I totally concur with what you wrote.

Over time I've come to be philosophical about Russian people. Their culture is so different to western culture, and though there is much I like about that culture that I find refreshing and really works for me, there is as much there which I find to not work for me at all and I find frustrating and annoying. But over time, I've learned to just realise, that is just their culture, I'm not sure they can really help how they are being.

I agree, you cannot really trust Russian women, and they often don't seem to have any qualms about lying.

As highly intelligent as Russian people are, I am often left scratching my head about some of the dumb things they say some of the time.

And look, at the end of the day, it is the people who have worked through the culture in any culture and are not so much Robots in response to it, that at least I am most interested in anyway. In most countries it is the working classes who will most elaborate and in a sense be victim to their own culture. Whereas, those who are well read, educated and have travelled are more often than not, able to realise what is cultural and what is not.

And after saying all that, one of the bigger issues with Russian women, is that you can feel as if you are flying first class. They put in a lot of effort into love and relationships and all the attendant details of being FEMININE.

It is hard to go back to coach, dealing with unfeminine, entitled Western women who feel they deserve the world, without putting in 1/10th of the effort that Russian women put in.

I always get the feeling with Russian women, like a lightbulb goes off in my head, *this is the way it should be*. But for all their apparent flaws, you can definitely appreciate many quality elements which many western men may find healing and sooth their soul.

Ok fair enough, but as opposed to what other women? American or western women who don't ever lie?

While I might agree that Russian women are more sly about it, as an American I think the women there lie, and lie a lot too. Yes they are more politically correct and less feminine about it and try to hide it more, but they do it all the time and many times don't even know they are doing it. They are usually bigger lies too (as in the Chris Rock skit where he says women lie all the tie, everything about them is a lie, they use big lies like "it's your baby", etc.).

I really think you're actually better off with many Russian women (obv. not with the gold digger/club hotties) than you are with Americans in relationships/marriage. You know where you stand and they keep u honest. Russian women, like most European women, are better mothers and caregivers (the US is utterly screwed up in this regard). And getting a little on the side isn't as much of a big deal to them, it's almost expected. I'm not talking about some beta idiot who brings back a mail order bridge - but I've read something that shows even those guys get divorced way less than Americans marrying local girls!

right on brotha! It's in fact a bit of a quandry I deal with everytime I go back home. It's just so hard to motivate to talk to North American women, let alone date them. They are consistently 2-3 notches below what I date here, and I can't touch girls under 25 for the most part. I was just in London and then Cali and the number of reasonably attractive targets was just so minimal it was depressing. No wonder I left. It would be hard to go back.

Everyone back home always asks me "so when are you coming back? Are you thinking of bringing one home?". I pause and mentally picture some pretty EE girl getting utterly corrupted by American values, gaining 25 pounds after eating the sh*tty food for 6 months, then divorcing my @ss in a year and taking half my assets. Yeah, that sounds really appealing.....I usually just say no and leave it at that.

5.They are forward.
I hear many guys complain and ask “what did I do wrong?” Well, just date a Russian woman. When she feels you messed up, she will tell you. When she is no longer feeling the love, she will tell you. There is little time for melodrama in their lives and the sooner the problem gets out in the open the sooner you can move on.

6.They are respectful.
They were raised in an intergenerational way where respect for elders was crucial. They had family members who fell on hard times, fought in wars, starved, died young, alcoholism etc. For this reason they understand the importance of respect. Even for the small things. If they have to make a phone call, they excuse themselves. If they need to make a text, they wait until you use the restroom. Or they ask permission and apologize. It’s the little things, but compared to some other women out there who seem to lack even the most basic social skills, it feels much greater.

Do you find this applies to Ukrainian women or just partly? I'm headed to Ukraine in a week and will be hitting the tier 2 cities and some of my pipelining from online. The Ukrainian girls from the smaller cities seem like the warmest sweetest girls I've ever met and want so badly to find a man and take care of him. Not to mention how utterly gorgeous they can be.

About a month later, I could barely get a Russian to acknowledge me.

I am still mystified that I am getting no results in this demographic. After such an epic run too.

Those who say "never date a Russian girl" are wrong. So are those who think that Russian girls are better just because they are Russian (there seems to be a lot of guys like this on this forum for some reason).

I've been with some cool Russian girls, but I've also been with some fucked up bitches I wish I had never met in my life.

Here's a piece of advice for the cats from an "insider": try dating a Russian-speaking Asian girl. Now, that's really something.
