Summer Style for Daygame

Sorry if this is a duplicate thread, but now that the winter in FSU is finally over (just a couple of weeks ago for Moscow) I'm going to start taking the dog to the park and make up for the lack of approaching over the winter. However, style wise I have no idea what to do. Unless I'm wrong, I feel like my typical summer sneakers, tshirt, and cargo shorts won't cut it. What is the best way to dress for weather in the high 60's - low 80's to walk in the park with the dog and make some approaches? This is for day game - my night game wardrobe is pretty ok.

Jeans, good shoes, shirt, very light sweater ( if needed ) and a sport's jacket / blazer with a non-formal cut to it. It is relaxed and not overly formal but also smart and masculine. Makes you stand out from the 90% of dudes who wear jeans and t-shirt.

I live in that look 365 days a year going for thicker fabrics in the winter and lighter cotton ones in the summer.

That seems more suited to night game though - in a park with a dog isn't that a bit over the top?

This is my primary resource now:

They update every day. Type 'summer' in the search bar. Of course check out masculine-style.com as well, as was already mentioned.

Thanks, good site, but I'm talking about summer outfits that are good for the park, or extensive time outside when you'll be moving around a bit and need to be comfortable. Something like the suit on this page won't work for that, and masculine style is great, but I haven't seen many sample summer outfits for comfort.

Diesel jeans, Hogan sneakers, a nice short sleeve/slim fit polo (Kenzo, Pal Zileri, ect if you want upscale, but a simple Lacoste can do it - there is now a slim fit line), a discreetly labeled belt, an eye-catching watch, stylish sunglasses, et voila. If you want a bit more sophisticated, same thing but with a linen Boss, Zegna, Pal Zileri, ect slim fit shirt. It's not complicated. Simple but stylish and quality sportswear. Winner.

Over the top? Why would being casually smart ever be over the top?

What do you want to do look like everyone else who is out there in the day or be someone who turns heads and gets smiles off women simply by dressing a little smarter and more stylish than everyone else? Choice is yours but you'll see your opportunities and invitations go up when you dress better.

The typical outfit in my florida beach town for summer: for tourist men-cargo shorts, t-shirt or polo shirt if they are middle class, for locals: board shorts and t-shirt if they are young, jeans and t-shirt if they are over 30

Being a better dressed man here couldn't be any easier

Button-up shirt with the top two or three buttons undone (depends on your build and how rakish you are); something like a light-colored pair of jeans, cotton chinos, or linen pants that are either cropped or rolled enough to expose a little ankle; loafers, monk straps, or even slippers with no socks; classic sunglasses like wayfarers or clubmasters, and a watch with a leather or nylon strap.

The key to pulling off good spring and summer style is an excellent fit. You have fewer layers under which you can hide bad fit and your being in bad shape so you'll need to work on both. Here's a great example.

A regular jacket will be but buying one in a lighter fabric like linen, seersucker (puckered cotton), or a tropical-weight wool along with going unlined and unstructured will make a jacket wear just like a shirt.

J. Crew has you covered.

Seersucker
Linen
Oxford cotton
Unstructured Navy

I have the unstructured navy, and it's excellent. Great OTR fit (I did tailor the sleeves though). J. Crew knows their shit when it comes to blazers and sport coats. Affordable too, especially if you can catch one with a promo sale.

I heard you can't pull with shorts and a wife beater and white socks. Any truth to that?

It depends on the location...
I'm more likely to be found on the beach, in a park or at a festival.

It depends on the girls you want to attract...
I go for young girls that are more into youth, looks and fun.

And it depends on how you look...
Girls can find me intimidating, so fresh attire like this softens my vibe.

Shoes, shorts and a tee during the day.
Big knitted sweater when the sun sets.

Standard summer fare for myself = cargo shorts, wife beater, white socks and gym shoes. 19 yr. old girls don't give a shit.

This is how I pull off looking fabulous during warm, sweaty summer weather.

1) I buy one or two pairs of classy, quality, leather sandals. They look fine with dress pants, but provide air flow to my feet and really help with keeping my body temperature at a comfortable level.

2) Linen. Love it. Cool, beautiful, relaxed and classy. I plan to get more linen, because I love what I do have in the summer. Cotton works too, although I find it a little heavy. Cotton is obvious the choice over linen if I want something a little more crisp and formal.

3) Half-structured suit jackets. Going with a breathable material (not wool), I have my tailor only do structured shoulders, with no lining below that point. Any breeze goes straight through the jacket, giving me relief from the heat.

4) Short sleeve shirts underneath. I'm sure that some would strongly disagree with this, but as a guy who gets hot easily, This allows me to pull off suits in the summer, as I simply couldn't it I went with long sleeves.

5) Top two buttons undone. Always.

6) Walking with jacket unbuttoned. Increases airflow significantly. Makes a really big difference in comfort.

This is how I pull off suits, all summer long.

I like to dress very, very casual.

Levi's 511 jeans - $50
Chuck Taylor Converse optical white - $50
Fitted V-Neck - $10

I have at least 4-5 different V-neck colours, and I may exchange the jeans for Dockers Alpha Khakis - $50:
