"But I'm A Nice Guy"

If this hasn't gone viral yet, you should expect to see it pop up on all the usual suspects' tumblrs/blogs/tweets/FB walls.

Now, visualize in your head what you think the animator, Scott Benson, looks like. I'll give you a moment...

Got the image? Ready?

How far off were you? Could he be any more of a predictable caricature?

"But I'm A Nice Guy"

Looks like he's on transgender hormone therapy.

"I'm afraid of women."

Then you see the picture, and realize it's a projection.

The video itself was pretty good though (artistically).

I literally don't get the point of the video.

Check out my occasionally updated travel thread - The Wroclaw Gambit II: Dzięki Bogu - as I prepare to emigrate to Poland.

I'm terribly confused.

What gender is the creator?

What is the point of that video? What idea or point is it supposed to express?

I get the point of the video, but seriously, is that a man or a woman? Not sure if they're boobs or moobs.

Well said.
I have a similar babyface to this guy. You really have to keep the body fat down or you get precisely this effect.

The video makes a few clear (and predictable) statements.

The beginning animation implies that men take more than their fair share. The animated character begins by taking all of the ice cream scoops at the expense of his female counterpart, but as soon as the female gets just one scoop he is depicted as going berserk, with the word "misandry" being shown as his complaint.

The appearance of the word misandry at that point is designed to imply that all of the men who are concerned about "misandry" are actually overprivileged bullies who generally have taken (and continue to take) more than their fair share.

The "red pill" also appears. This is designed to poke fun at the whole concept and imply that all who subscribe to it are overprivileged bullies who are afraid of women. The video also implies that these men are the self-proclaimed "nice guys".

The point of the video, in short:

-Men need to check their privilege.
-Those who make any complaint about feminism or misandry are afraid of women.
-All "nice guys" are disingenuous, over-privileged, misogynist bullies.
-All "red-pill" takers (that would include all of us on this forum and at other sites in the manosphere) are "nice guys".
-All "nice guys" love rape and find it amusing.
-All complaints launched against feminism on the internet on forums like these are illegitimate.

Nothing new being said here, as these are standard arguments posed by third wave feminists and their allies.

Know your enemy and know yourself, find naught in fear for 100 battles. Know yourself but not your enemy, find level of loss and victory. Know thy enemy but not yourself, wallow in defeat every time.

This kind of stuff doesn't really annoy me, I mean I expect it. The thing that annoys me the most is that these people take a moral stance on things that doesn't involve them and act and genuinely think as if they're better than the people they're apparently making fun of. They'll get girls and other manginas commenting in agreement with the message and giving the guy props, while he thinks that he's such a good man morally and he's doing better in life than say people like Roosh.

It's the highest form of betadom - the stance of "those guys are getting all the pussy and I'm a lonely virgin so in order to make myself feel better then I'm going to try belittle them".

Who's really "afraid of women", though?

The guy who walks up to a beautiful girl and chats to her and asks her out stone cold sober, or the fat, pasty nerd whose gender we can't work out that spends his evenings making animations trying to score points with ugly girls online that he'll never meet?

Guaranteed virgin.

Don't worry about it. All these videos, pictures, etc we post up with these idiots having a houlier than thou attitude are pussies in real life. They're scared to make eye contact and wouldn't say shit to you in person if you told a girl to "come suck my dick like a good girl" in front of them.

Classic case of projection.

I highly doubt most of the "manosphere" would describe themselves as nice guys, much less try and build a moral stance based on that premise.

So why do we have a problem with a civil war among the Betas?

Maybe we should make a counter animation of a virgin watching a player macking on a girl on the train and taking her home, while he runs back home alone and then starts mashing his keyboard coming up with a "I hate women because I have loads of sex" video, and then ultimately dying of an asphyxi-wank.
