Who here listens to Loveline?

omfg. When I was fourteen loveline taught me everything about sex. I was very repressed and from a religious household so I would sneak into my brother's room and listen to it when it came on at 11 it made me feel like I was in a secret society.

This was when it was Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew. I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for loveline I can't really measure how much of an impact it had on my life but it was huge. It made me feel like a normal person when I was so confused and it made me laugh so hard sometimes.

Now the show seems puerile I'm not quite sure who's on it but hey I think we can all get lessons from what's going on with kids and stuff just to see what they're up to. I like high schoolers they will always be cooler than adults unless theyre on pills that make you slow and retarded.

Anywho, Loveline is the shit and perfect when you're repressed and 14, not on my radar 25. I get all my sex cues from hardcore pornography like everyone else.

I listen to old episodes when I travel and I'm still amazed at how insightful their advice is.

Who here listens to Loveline?

I haven't seen it in years, but one of the best ones I can remember was a guy who worked out a lot called because he had heard that jizz had a ton of protein in it. He had been drinking his jizz for year because he heard about the abundance of protein. He called to set the record straight about it. Turns out the dude was drinking his jizz the last couple years for nothing. There is no protein in it.

Who here listens to Loveline?

I discovered Loveline about a year ago via Adam Carolla's podcast.

I downloaded archived shows from 1999-2005 (Carolla years) and I listen to a couple of shows a week. I've learned so much from hearing Adam and Dr. Drew take calls from fucked up people, especially the girls.

-The theory that Dr. Drew has that if a girl speaks with a little girl voice means that she was likely molested or abused at the age she sounds (she's 19 but sounds like she's 9 means something happened to her at around age 9).

-If a girl is raped (especially more than once) it's probable that she was abused during her childhood and she has learned to become victim. Sexual predators can also sense a girl who will make a good victim (childhood trauma survivors) and target these types of girls.

-Not really insightful but pretty funny: Whenever someone isn't doing great in life and you ask them what they do for work or what's going on in their life they preface it with "right now."

"What do you do for a living?"

"Well, right now I paint parking lots but next semester I'm gonna try to get back into school"

In one of the shows Adam asked a chick what her boyfriend did for a living. Her response?

"Oh, well right now he just got out of jail."

No one ever says "Well, right now I'm an astronaut."

Cool thread. I was an avid Loveline listener back in the day.

For those of you interested, here's a site that has pretty much every show from 95-2005. Great stuff. (site is legit, ive been using it for a long time)

Who here listens to Loveline?

When Loveline started in 1983 I used to HAAAAAAAATE it. I was 11, 12 then so I was pissed when they stopped playing music to talk about sex bullshit. Which I called it back then.

But by 1985, 1986 I started to get into more. Dr. Drew was only on a segment called "Ask a resident" (because he wasn't a doctor yet).

I learned a lot from it in the late 80's as I finished up high school and early 90's when I was in college. But when they fired Poorman in 1993 I kind of faded away from it. It didn't seem the same with Riki Rachtman.

Now, hell, I haven't heard it in almost 20 years, but it was awesome back in the day. Any SoCal cronies from 35 years old on up can attest.

I won't actively sit down and listen to their show, but if I am driving somewhere, yes, definitely. The most broken people call in and ask their questions and get their answers and are usually blown away by the logic. good shit.

Loveline was the shit. Might just be my memory but I remember listening to old recordings of the Riki Rachman days and I thought he was funnier than Adam Corolla until Adam really started understanding the show better and his humor and Dr. Drew's playing off of each other started working WAY better.

There is a good amount to learn from Loveline, but even moreso from the Tom Leykis Show. Does anyone have a good link for all the Tom Leykis archives?

I'm a fan still listen to it, I would say its pretty red pill, in certain topics.

Im curious about Mike Catherwood's notch count and game tactics. He claims to have fucked a lot of women.
