I have come to find in my 31 years on this earth that most people are sheep. They crave someone telling them what to do. They want the path of least resistance. They claim to want greatness, but they lie. Greatness would require risk, risk would require stepping away from the herd. Stepping away from the herd insures that the herd will isolate them, tell them it can't be done, tell them that they are stupid for trying. You see the herd not only desires someone to lead them blindly, but they also desire for no one walk their own path, as this would make them feel insecure about themselves. If you want to be part of the herd, if you want to be a sheep, that is fine. But don't claim to have the heart of a wolf, a lion, don't claim to seek greatness when all you really want is someone to tell you what to do. If you really want to be great, then put your balls on the line and go for it. But don't sit amongst the herd and snivel about how this wasn't the life you planned for and how great you wanted to become when all you've done your whole life is take the path of least resistance and follow the herd. You either will take the risk, think for yourself, and go for it, or you will be a sheep. The choice is yours. The path of least resistance always leads to the land of mediocrity. Do not fear failure... FEAR AVERAGE

Agriculture/Industrialization is obviously the major force, so you gotta go on the Paleo/Atkins diet and live as primally as you can.

Also, you gotta stop cut back (better yet eliminate) TV/Movies, cause they infantilize the shit out of you. Back in the 1940s/1950s, all dudes had were books and newspapers, which were missing the Audio/Video component. TV/Movies are 10x powerful and put dudes in a hypnotic state, where they get thirty year mortgages and dont retire until the age of 65 and eat highfructose corn syrup/refined carbohydrates until they end up apathetic/and complacent about life in general.

I agree with the quote. Mostly I profit by it; it's great that the entrepreneurial spirit will never catch on, as that makes my life easier due to less competition. But the fact that people don't want to step out of their comfort zone makes building a team challenging.

I hear in the quote not dissatisfaction that others enjoy mediocrity, but irritation that people don't walk their talk. In the manosphere you also hear of people talking about how they want to be location independent and travel and are sick of western women, but you literally can not even hand people an offer for an all expenses paid opportunity to wealth and travel. I know - I've tried.

So ya, that quote is true. People say they wish and hope and want, but just try to give it to them, and they'll chose the known over the unknown. Most people are hard core addicts to the greatest opiate of them all; the comfort of the known.
