I'm going to say a good thing about American women, seriously

Has anyone tried this, notices this, or have stories to share?

They will move for you. Even more so if you are a big guy.

I'm 6'0 and 215 lbs and I'm constantly forced to get out of the way of women who simply refuse to move when I'm walking on the street side. I'm the one who need to step on the street to avoid the collision.

Patrice O'neal had a great bit about this on an O&A clip. At 7:00 he goes in and mentions that it's women inflating sense of entitlement that's causing this. In her mind it's her street and it is your citizens duty to move yourself out when she walks!! I Invite you all to watch the entire clip, some fantastic stuff in there.

This is pretty funny, I've been noticing it in Australia a lot in the last couple of years! Recently I got sick of it and just stick to my path and walk straight. The look on their faces when they realise I'm not getting out of the way for their royal butts is priceless.

As for saying one positive thing about American women, I've just been travelling to NYC and NOLA for a month, and I have just one to share: they are by far friendlier and more polite than Aussie women, even in NYC with their world infamous "rudeness"!

wtf IS this? I see it on bike paths... pair of girls coming other way on bikes..side by side.. taking up 80% of the path.. what do they expect me to do?

I now carefully take up 50% of the path. Stop riding in tandem stupid bitches. You're passing you have to split up and ride one behind the other.

I really have no idea what they're thinking. Wait.. I forgot my own dictum.
Women don't have thoughts, they have reflexes.

I love a woman with some type of skills. In America with this shitty economy most woman got to get to work. I think some of the hardest working women in the world are in America. Not saying I don't know some hoes that consider work as striping on webcams.

Open your arms as if to hug her. See what happens.

Can't say I've come across this at all. Generally, everyone apologises for getting in my way without me saying anything to them - the exceptions being guys who look as pissed off as I do, then it's all wary sideways eyes to each other.

I never say sorry when girls apologise either.

Why do you guys think they're doing it? What's the logic?

I think the logic is just selfishness, but it's part of a bigger problem that concerns all society, not just women.

On the other hand though, the particular instance when they purposefully get in your way is different. You're minding your own business and they change their path to get in your way...

Surprisingly accurate. I grew up in Orange County and it used to be smokeshows all over the place. I wouldn't even mind sitting in traffic most days because I'd see 3-4 trophy wives who were at least 8s in their Range Rovers next to me. Now whenever I go visit the talent is scarce. Outings that would usually have at least 4-5 lookers now there is maybe 1-2. And the attitudes are worse than it used to be as well. It's a terrible environment.

I'm not seeing this at all and can't imagine women doing this, and am going to start observing how they react to other guys to try and catch it in action. I only get this sort of shit from small guys who are sometimes looking for a fight.

I mean, you guys obviously aren't lying but I'm confused as to why this would be happening. Is there some kind of body language 'tell' that you guys are giving off to make them challenge your dominance? Some kind of implied supplication in how you look at them? Which I doubt, because you guys all understand game.

My default facial expression is pissed-off. Walk tall, head high, chin up, chest out, shoulders back. But can't be purely that, cause Mike's done a lot of body language discussions and it's happening to him.

I'm average-height, so it's not that. The tattoos maybe? The criminal connotation?

It can't be purely-looking scary because for every two girls who apologise and step around me whilst looking at the floor there's a third girl who makes shy, fleeting-glance, Bambi Eyes at me.

Is there a particular age bracket? Under 25's?

Are they actually not challenging you, but flirting with you in an aggressive way? It'd follow the 'try to attract by pushing away' illogic on modern young girls.

I'd venture to guess that this is simply because we don't need each other as much anymore to the the degree we once did. We've always been selfish, and for a long time co-operation with others aided us in our selfish goals (survival, namely). Now we just don't need other people as much. Hell I bet there would be a huge market for some sort of app that adds you as a friend on facebook and gives you 'likes', that way, a person wouldn't even have to be facebook friends with real people to get attention/validation.

Civilize the mind but make savage the body.

I got this shit from girls in XS in Vegas a lot.

Group of 3 girls walking my direction near the pool. Cute one sees me and intentionally brushes off my right arm as she passes by, then proceeds to scream and shout at me "hey asshole!"

Chilling near a table I see with the corner of my sight, coming from my left 2 girls (not fat thankfully). They spot me, hug each other and come spiralling out of control and ram into me hard. I'm like wtf just happened and sort of shove them to the side after that and go on with my night.

Absolutely crazy behaviour in my opinion.

Shitful attempt at girl game? Or attempted misdirection as they try to lift your wallet?

I get it from hipsters / university-aged students (most younger girls in my area), so under 25 is about right.

I don't think they intentionally do it to challenge me, they just don't seem to notice their surroundings much. Plenty of them walk into traffic, in front of trams, into a pole etc. Most of the time they're fiddling with their phones.

You know how they have this mentality that every man must be watching out for their safety? It's the same one here, like they own the streets and side walks, so they don't pay attention to other people.

In crowded spaces like trams, bars etc. instead of tapping guys on the shoulders and saying excuse me can I move pass you, they either shoulder-check guys and charge through, or stand behind the guys and roll their eyes until someone (white knight or another older woman) notices and asks the guy to move for them.

I notice they do it more to guys, but my 60 y.o mother gets bumped out of her way by those princesses too!

That's the young millenials, who we hope to turn out better than their predecessors.

Honestly, I haven't noticed it to the same extent here. I can vouch for the entitled-princess attitude prevalent among university-aged girls, however not to the same extent as my current surroundings.
Last time I noticed anything like the latter was over the weekend at a festival, although the person in question was a 60-something lady in a wheelchair with her minder, trying to push through people of the same age group!

To be fair, I think this is a phenomena that occurs in both guys and girls here. Men may not be able to blame their smartphones (although it happens) but I think it caught on more so here because Australians tend to be more masculine in culture even by Western standards. That and the fact that we've also projected more of a "don't give a shit attitude".
