So What Is The Best Argument For Eating Meat?

Even if meat has the sort of harmful effects to health vegan zealots claim it does, I would still eat it in the same way people will eat junk food or drink alcohol every now and then just for the enjoyment of it.

^ I can not for the life of me stay awake while listening to this guy drone on. Assuming he's not completely full of shit, his method seems really interesting utilizing different metobolic states during intermittent fasting. Your body is made to take in calories and turn them into resources for your body to spend. He's saying he only eats 1000 - 1500 cals a day. You can certainly grow muscle that way if you don't spend those calories doing other things, and he also says he easts his meal in the evening after his weight training. Makes sense to me.
My father would only eat once a day. He'd wake up in the morning, drink coffee, go to work for 8 hours doing manual labor (construction) come home and eat a big 1500-2000 cal dinner - typically meat, potatoes, bread, and green veggies. Then he would go to sleep about an hour or two later.
The only problem I see with this is that I would think it would be difficult to have adequate energy to train with intensity at the gym without taking in any sort of carbs during the day.

I eat meat with nearly every meal and get plenty of animal fat because if I don't, I feel like shit and my brain gets foggy.
The best I've felt in years was on keto, with lots of animal fat and as close to zero carbs as I could get.
Dunno about other people but that's all I need to know for myself.

I think there's something about intestine length. We're not horses, cows or rabbits that munch on grass all day but we're also not dogs or cats that just eat meat. It would be against nature not to. I crave it especially red meat. Thing is, with the cholesterol thing, there is some argument about the quantity that one consumes and whether it's red or white. I think pork is half way between them, but the other white meats and fish have much lower cholesterol impact. Still a certain quantity of red meat needs to be there..

I just saw "What the Health", same makers as 'Cowspiracy' and it wants to show us that any animal product is bad, with processed meat being the worst, but also milk, eggs, cheese, even fish. What can we still eat? Anyone else seen this documentary? Hope it can be debunked.

Does any body here eat: rabbit, snail and grasscutter meat (cane rat)? They are healthier than beef or pork. In my location we call grasscutter meat bush meat.

Here's a tidbit for ya:
Humans have been hunting and eating animals since we walked on two legs. The act of humans deliberately not eating meat is a new thing. It is a popular social trend(experiment?) that has only really become a some-what mainstream and wide-spread thing over the past 50-100 years or so. There are a couple reasons for this I speculate:
1.) We live in a time where technology and modern conveniences award us the luxury to eat very discriminantly instead of out of pure life sustaining necessity.
2.) Post-industrial age agricultural practices have become taboo and controversial to some people in the developed world who have the luxury of avoiding it (see number 1).
Contrary to popular belief, humans are actually a part of the food chain and the great circle of life and it is our duty as creatures of this planet to do our part to help regulate the population of other animals (our prey). If we didn't hunt and kill deer here in North America their population would go out of control, because their other predators are not plentiful enough to regulate them alone.
The best argument I can see for eating meat is that historically humans always have eaten meat and we continue to and there is no science that proves this is wrong or outside of our diet so there is not legitimate reason to completely stop eating it unless you don't like it or you have some kind of moral qualm with it. That said, there is science the proves a human does not need to eat meat to live a healthy life, and with the modern comforts of today most people have the choice to decide what they want to eat so to the layman you can eat or not eat meat for whatever reason you chose at it is not a 100% necessary part of your diet (depending on where you live).

The best argument for eating meat is "Fuck off, fag."
