I’ve been hitting up Monterrey heavily since last November 2011 (I fly down about twice per month for 3-4 days at a time). Met a stunner from there who works for a Television Station in Playa Del Carmen during the Mi Casa House Music Festival in early October and she’s been getting me hooked on the place. I haven’t been going out gaming since I have been rolling with her but I have been able to scope out some spots that you fellas may find interesting If you are ever in town. Monterrey is widely known as the city in Mexico with the best looking women and It doesn’t disappoint in that regard. Most of the top soap opera stars, actors and on air personalities in the country come from here. Even though the city has earned a reputation for crime and danger in the last 5-7 years It’s still a good city to visit If you have connections already on the ground or making your way through Mexico.
Let me address the #1 concern for people worried about danger in Monterrey...Firstly I’ve been shown nothing but love from everyone there and have no hint of danger everywhere I’ve been. I’ve kicked it in Centro, Barrio Antigo and the more well off parts of town in San Jeronimo and San Pedro and near Plata Fiesta/San Augustin. No problems whatsoever. The city is really beautiful, set in a picturesque valley with mountains surrounding it at night it’s simply stunning.
I think the best places to stay are in and around San Pedro & San Augustin areas but San Jeronimo & Downtown Monterrey/Centro aren’t bad either. I’ve stayed in all those areas on my 8 visits there. San Pedro and San Augustin will definitely have more talent since it’s the richer side of town. Monterrey isn’t a walking city in the high end areas so you won’t find many girls on the streets in the nice areas unfortunately which I miss about being in heavy walking cities I normally frequent and love (Rio De Janeiro/Barcelona/Paris).
The best place to stay IMO is Hotel Habita in San Pedro for the high end cats in the forum, beautiful views from rooftop pool & bar and extremely modern with a dope restaurant and right next to the most happening restaurants and clubs in-town all in one development with some top notch restaurants and bars in the same development that I will point out. This hotel will cost you but a high level player with the $$$ would undoubtedly want to stay here.
To start the night off you want to hit up Amalia which is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. My girl treated me to a night here on my birthday that I will never forget. The ambience and the vibe put this place over the top. It was a restaurant but had a bar area set in a garden and tons of stunners milling about with cool lounge music playing. This place is reservations only so dress to impress, I thought I was somewhere in West Hollywood, Soho or South Beach it was that impressive.
After that you could check Kitchoan which is a dope lounge with a DJ set up playing some good music and is located adjacent to Amalia and Hotel Habita, again sick talent in this place too, anyone in Mexico for the first time won’t believe their eyes. Eve Mendes and Penelope Cruz in their prime level chicks all around this place.
After that If you pull something nice you could either slide to the Rooftop Bar at The Hotel Habita which has a pool and I hear SICK pool parties with a view in the summer which I will definitely be checking out or take it to Centrito Valley which I really haven’t had the chance to explore yet but has a multitude of bars and clubs and cute chicks. The Hotel Habita area was definitely more mature & monied.
I normally stay at the Presidente Intercontinental Hotel which will will put you walking distance or a less than $5 cab ride to Plaza Fiesta San Augustin which has three MONEY bars/clubs/restaurants you can hit up with good talent....
The names of said bars are Canto Piano Bar, Munster and Vinoteca.
All solid spots with excellent talent. I was with my girl but that didn’t stop from girls eyeing me constantly and approaching when I hit the bathroom. Some really nice lookers in there, had me thinking how it would be If I was with one of my wingmen there.
Vinoteca is more chill restaurant vibe on the patio where you can approach in a more relaxed atmosphere and Munster plays the Music Videos with Music that seems to be popular in Mexico with the top club songs of today mixed in with good Mexican Pop in a Irish Pub type setting and people are dancing. One of the few places in Monterrey where I didn’t see the friends all grouped together and not socializing with anyone.
Canto Piano Bar played more rock music and had nice eye candy as well. You can hop around all these places since they are in the same development.
Munster is a really good spot as well. I was recently there for the USA vs Mexico match in a USA outfit cheering the home team on during the recent 0-0 draw and it was dimes in the spot. Noticed many tables full of girls and some with a mix of guys and after the game music was played and a live band so definitely a good place to pull a fly MTY girl.
I have been to a few other places in San Jeronimo where the Casino was bombed out a few years ago but that place was wack IMO. I will get the name of it I would avoid it unless you are with a girl. I just don’t like places where they set you up at a table and everyone is grouped together and no dance floor. These type of places seem to be popular in Mexico.
The closing time in most clubs seems to be 2am-3am in the newer developments but there are some other spots that close later in Centrito Valley and other areas but the upscale places definitely close shop. I had no need to be out that long since I was already rolling with a fine MTY girl already.
After All the Girl Chasing their is plenty of cool recreational and cultural things to do in Monterrey where you can easily meet girls in that manner that I would highly recommend. I’m a big fan of “cultural macking” meeting girls at museums and active pursuit activities is very underrated. With that said...

Mercado Juarez - Biggest Market Area in Monterrey, awesome place with great restaurants and markets with everything you can imagine. No need for a grocery store when you have this area at your fingertips.
Definitely give Monterrey a shot...The girls all seem friendly to foreigners who visit during this time and If you want to meet them on vacation hit up Playa Del Carmen to scoop one like I did! They all seems to go there on vacation similar migration like Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City to Acapulco. Any questions just get at me, I will be in MTY at least twice per month so will continue to have the dial on this spot. Shot out to RVF member GERMANICO for meeting up with me on one of my initial visits an giving me some game on the spot as well. Good dude spending his time between MTY and DF these days so look him up if you touch down. I'm headed down again this weekend so any questions just holla at me. Saude!
