http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/...t-thatcher I still think Russell Brand sums it up the best.
RIP Margaret Thatcher
I think we draw the line at not intentionally saying things that are so blatantly disrespectful to present company at least.
I don't think it's a lot to ask.
I'd like to think we're gentlemen for the most part.
And I do understand where you are coming from.

I am sure it was no coincidence that we had Reaganonimics and Thatcherism at the same time.
A few different opinions, for the record I could not care either way. I do however know first hand that her time in power was a rough time in the UK.

I was just looking at the footage of people in Trafalgar square celebrating her death. I don't care what your politics are, to me that is in such poor taste. Reagan was our Thatcher and when he died I don't recall people having a party in time square over it.

disgusting indeed. Even if my worst enemy would die I won't be a clown having a street party. Idiots.
"Fart, and if you must, fart often. But always fart without apology. Fart for freedom, fart for liberty, and fart proudly" (Ben Franklin)
Ultimately, I think that the 'death parties' show that despite standing for tolerance and equality of viewpoints, large amounts of socialists have socio-political views which are based on hatred and resentment.
Reminds me of this quote:

Marxism is an overt appeal to noble ideals and a covert appeal to envy, avarice and revenge fanatasies. It's the latter that motivates.

I only ever read that on Krauser's twitter, did he invent it? As I've searched for it on google and nothing comes up. It's a fucking excellent quote too.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. - H L Mencken

Hey Teedub,
I checked out your twitter feed. And stole the quote from there. It seems like it is original with Krauser.
Excellent quote!

I think it's pretty poor that no U.S Presidents are coming over for the funeral.

Here are some pictures of Margaret Thatcher's Granddaughter.
Remind me - wasn't there a thread recently about conservative chicks being hotter than liberal chicks?

She has a weird cockeye. Still would bang.
I find her to be very bangable. Especially considering all the status vs bad girl shit I would have her doing.
I prefer her to Kate and Pippa Middleton.
She looks quite fierce.....got sex appeal.
Girls should be an ornament to the eye, not an ache in the ear.
I am fascinated by the legacy of Margaret Thatcher.
No one camp can claim her for themselves.
She upset old-fashioned one-nation Tories.
Economically - she implemented Milton Friedman's policy of Monetarism - but then backtracked and abandoned it.
She closed more Grammar schools than any other Prime Minster and introduced the National Curriculum.
And she was originally in favour of the EU - before changing her mind and becoming a staunch skeptic.
The same thing happened with climate change. She was an early believer in the seriousness of the problem. Before later on backtracking and dismissing it.
She is hated by women - yet should be a global feminist icon.
As for her love of money. Unlike Tony Blair who made tens of millions after leaving office. Thatcher had to rely on the generosity of wealthy friends to help her out in old age.
And irregardless of what you think of her. Remember this. Both Tony Blair and Gordon Brown invited her to Downing Street for tea. And neither one of them reversed a single one of her major policies.
Anyway - that is not why I am posting. I am posting because I just came across an excellent blog post which analyses her record with particular emphasis on the way she managed to discombobulate 'The Left' here in the UK.

It is well worth reading for those interested in this area. And really helped clarify my thinking.
It turns out that it was true that Thatcher destroyed 'The Working Class'. But only because she freed so many of them and allowed them to flourish, become rich and enter the middle classes.
If making progress in life counts as destruction of the class you are leaving behind - then let's have more of it.

About Maggie Thatcher's granddaugher (pictured earlier in the thread - above).
She is hot as hell. She has something about her. A 10 in my book. I love that sort of chick and look.

The only good thing about this thread are the photos of Maggie's granddaughter.
