I would argue the exact opposite, you should always wear an undershirt, it's only a matter of whether it is a vneck or a crew neck. Of course I would never wear pants without underwear either, or shoes without socks.

I haven't worn underwear in about three years now.

I don't wear socks with my Sperrys.

That's super gay. Not even debatable.

You have zero rep points after almost a year. As of right now, you're a parasite who takes without adding.

Why don't you stop trolling me and start finding a way to add value to the other members of the forum?

Butthurt much?

At least where I live, "happy hour" is the busiest time at the gym. That's where the better looking people are. I avoid the gym from 6-8 p.m because it's so busy.

Brunch seems to be much more popular than it was years ago.

Is brunch the new happy hour?

Happy hour is dying because that's when winners are at the gym. Brunch is indeed the new happy hour.

And OPs white tshirt/unfitted dress shirt are a huge problem - agreed.

No, I think OP has a point here. It isn't just that Happy Hour is in decline.

Rather, it's that most informal social institutions are disappearing.

Mark Minter kind of hinted at this in his post describing life in the Boomer heyday of the 70's and 80's. Wherever you'd go you'd see people congregating - at the public pool, at the local park, at the mall, the video game arcade, roller rink, playground, and on and on. He pins this on the fact that there were more young people at that time, but I'd suggest it's also because youth back then were more outgoing and took more risks.

People today in the U.S. are just much less social and open to hanging out with people outside their social circle than they were a couple decades ago. That's why for most guys social circle game trumps cold approach. That's why the clubs aren't as packed as they were a generation ago. That's why even in places where you do see people - like in coffee shops or at the gym - they're all cloistered away, doing there own thing, on their laptop with their earbuds in, shutout from the outside world.

This is a pretty typical sunny day at Dolores Park in San Francisco. During Giants season people are everywhere, including nearby China Basin.

I see more gay couples in that picture than I do hot women.

I've seen the exact same scene in Central Park, NYC. How would you guys approach a girl by herself in a situation like this? Or if she's with a friend or two?

They shouldn't be worn at all in my opinion. Not a good look for a man.

There is a "gay side" of Dolores Park and that happened to be it. But it's a great view since it's on the higher side.

Park is crowded with girls all over.

The "Bowling Alone" effect is overstated.

I'm surprised how many young guys on here don't go out Thursday nights, drink beer, and chase pussy.....What the hell is College for?? My father is 65 and and he still goes bowling and to a bar on Thursday nights.

I got one of my 3 lays in College from "Paulie's Tavern" in Albany NY. Took some hippie chick to the $10 all you can drink Thursday night special.

You can only learn so much from a forum, you need to go outside and game it up........

Well I can't blame gay guys for choosing that spot, really awesome view.

But I'm glad to know there's still an audience for straights in SF.

Not everyone will agree of course.

Or you could change your shirt daily...

Be honest, you've never been outside America.

Gay culture has made the women more open sexually/sluttier. Gay guys are like the anti-cock block and more than a few times I pulled because the gay guys were spurring her on.

Yup. It's largely white males who are cock blockers, white knights, and all around pains in the asses.

That's why I don't get into the "HBD" and anti-gay stuff.

White men fuck up my life far more than blacks or gays.

Historically speaking it's always been that way too. Biggest threat to white men are other white men. Intra-racial conflict is always the greatest threat to any man. Blacks harms the most blacks, asians harm the most asians, etc. History says it's always been that way. I don't understand anyone who thinks race is the "end-all-be-all" factor.

I don't know about the US but in Canada MADD has destroyed happy hour. Up until a couple years ago happy hour was wide open. Now there are major restrictions on what can be served and how much they can charge.

" I'M NOT A CHRONIC CUNT LICKER "

The discussion in both cases concerned NYC. In the Midwest there are no high end alternatives, just roadhouses filled with fenced stages and inbreds with Mossbergs.

I find it highly improbable that in a city as large as NYC there isn't at least one bar each day of the week that doesn't have a good happy hour. Sometimes it takes a little intel and recon. Nothing good comes easy.

Drinking holes are essentially wet. And they go through seasons. You can't expect a place to remain constant. That is the ebb and flow of these places. They dry up, and then they fill up again. Something as simple as a change in management or a magazine article can turn it back on overnight.

To go back to the original post, (minus White T-Shirt Gate™), I actually think Happy Hour is going strong.

I can't stand Happy Hour, but in CA, I think it is pretty popular.

Brunch is popular for sure.

And I hate brunch.
