The hamster is very strong in Canadian women including this one.

"Some customers said that they hadn't realized how revealing their yoga wear was. Mar Smallski, a Lululemon fan from Ontario, Canada, wrote on the company's Facebook page that a pair of cropped pants she purchased in February were quite transparent as well. "I never noticed they're see through, until recently all this talk about it," she wrote. "I found the brightest undies I could find and bent over... Sure enough, all I could see was the coral undies."

The problem is the material did not change, but the clientele did. Some ladies stretch the material too much.

One of my favourite things about yoga class is a shiny cameltoe right in my face. Go Lululemon!

A company stumbled on a way to attention whore even MORE, and chicks are complaining?

[Image: idea.gif] Must be so sheer you can see the cellulite. Why else would they complain?

I read this earlier. My guess is that women don't like to wear underwear under yoga pants, and folks were getting an unexpected female anatomy lesson in yoga class...HA HA! It's obvious the fabric is different. Corp-speak demands that they state that nothing has changed in the manufacturing, blah, blah, but are they saying that all of a sudden women realized you could see through their shit just now? Someone fucked up at the factory and screwed up a few of batches of these. They just need to repackage them as a "sheer" version of their tights, and chicks will wear them under a skirt or something...

I hate how 99% of these corporations are such pussies, and never own up to anything even when it's obvious they're talking out of their ass.

I wonder if consumers would reward corporations for just talking straight and admitting negligence. The popular reasoning is that they don't want to admit liability in the event of a lawsuit, but I'm not sure corporate admission would make much difference in cases like these.

Most consumers are simply not going to abandon a product they truly like over something like this as long as the company makes it right. In other industries, products get recalled all the time, an in some cases the defective product can, and does, cause harm. People still buy it. All they had to do is put out a statement telling everyone with a defective pair can simply return them for either refund or replacement, and throw in a free pair of socks or something else as a way of apologizing for the mistake and inconvenience. Simple. Instead, the reflex is to first monitor media and see just HOW mad the public is first, gauge how much of a PR hit they're taking, figure out how to save face, blah, blah, blah instead of simply making it right.

Nothing to see here, people who buy pants have a reasonable expectation that they remain opaque. Lululemon probably fucked up somehow although part of me wonders whether expanding hips were the straw that broke the camel's back here.

Possible publicity stunt. And a good one at that.

Any Canadians remember this one. Also a good publicity stunt.

I love those pants -- on the right girls (re: 17 or depending on the laws in your state, 18 to 22). I fear they will soon be co-opted by the hefty brigade.

I'm reminded of being a child in the 90s, and my mum saying to me that she couldn't understand why fat women had started wearing leggings.

'Surely they want to take attention away from their weight?'

Don't rely on women to understand the hamster.

Mike Wilbon actually mentioned this during the opening of PTI on ESPN yesterday evening, so this apparently really took off in the media.

I too LOVE yoga/stretch pants on women that have nice figures, but like with anything, companies make apparel in larger sizes too, and just because something is popular fat chicks think they should wear them too.

I love yoga/stretch pants on women who have tight bodies as well.

I was recently flying out of LAX after visiting my parents in LA, and in the security line in front of me there was a nice looking little blonde with a lululemon workout outfit on and I started to pop a woody just looking at her taking her shoes off in front of me. This is one fashion trend that I support. [Image: banana.gif]

HA HA! That's actually what Wilbon said...that he loves seeing chicks in the airport traveling in yoga pants and Ugg boots!

I doubt there is a company in the world that can compare with the healthy living encouragement that Lululemon encourages (forces) upon their staff.

Their head office is 95% women, and is stacked with the hottest women I have ever seen inside an office building. From interns all the way up to the women in their 50's, the place is ground zero for what women can achieve in regards to their health and beauty. Of course, Lululemon requires health and activity of all their staff. You can not even get hired if you are not into healthy living.

Damn Hotwheels, thanks for the So Fine clip. It overwhelmed me with the deepest '81 textures. The seventies just on the verge of really trying to become the eighties.

Btw. If you ever read the intense Jon Roberts memoir "American Desperado" (which I highly recommend), he was fucking the hottest piece of ass in the clip (the phone booth one).

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...
