How are any of those things long term solutions? I eat well, lift hard, and do most of the stuff on that list but I'm gonna be on HRT as well as long as I can afford to, the positives outweigh any downsides for me.

as for eliminating sugar entirely and intermittant fasting - I would skip both of these from the list. Fasting and avoiding sugar entirely will put your body under A LOT of stress. Stress however, along with lack of sleep and obesity, is the main killer of testosterone.

there is no link between bcaas and higher test, same with sugar and IF.

people are blowing testosterones effects out of proportion.

Testosterone is NOT very anabolic in the pysiological range.

adequate fats, yes.but eating triple the amount of fats wont triple your test/other hormones.this is broscience, theres a certain cut off point,i think 50/60grams ed.other than that the list is good.they say garlic too but im skeptical on studies.

agree @ sheesh, more sleep is key.have more sex etc etc

Shitloads of water ? Where does that come from ? Seems broscience to me.

I agree with the other points.

If you don't drink enough water, not only will you start to bloat, but your body will not function properly. You need to stay hidrated.

But that's taken care of by your thirst. So, there is no need to drink a "shit load".

I`d say as long as you:
1. Haven`t tried natural methods to improve your testosterone (as Wreckingball suggested for instance)
2. Aren`t competing in a professional sport that absolutely require you to do so.
3. Haven`t checked with a doctor that your testosterone levels aren`t unnaturally low.

you should NOT even consider injections, because there are serious side effects to it (go and google it) People eat pills for everything, inject all kinds of shit into their body... its really the modern worlds decease.

Wrong.

Shit load means +1.75liters per day. Unless you live in hot countries, you won't be drinking that per day.
Also when you workout, you should drink more.

Actually thirst is a sign that you are already dehydrated. Therefor you should drink water before you get thirsty, meaning regularly all through the day. And yes, shitloads.

Well, shitloads is a loose concept, obviously, but yes, you can drink too much water, it's called (psychogenic) polydipsia and can cause serious medical problems.

If your working out you can drink over 3 liters and be just fine. If you aren't drinking that much, it's not an easy habit to just pickup and then over-drink and get polydipsia.

Your comment is like 'I don't lift to hard because I don't want to look like a chia pet taped to the top of a fridge made of muscule' it would require so much effort to make that happen that it would be nigh impossible for an amateur to do that to themselves.

On a related note, what's the consensus on brazil nuts and testostorone?

I'm not sure I get what you are saying.

Anyway, there is nothing wrong with drinking 3 liters when you work out, I just don't think there is a connection with water intake and T levels, correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Regarding brazil nuts which contain a lot of selenium....there is a study floating around that selenium (together with n-acety--cysteine) raises T levels.

The zinc thing and strength training at a very entry level have given me a massive boost in motivation and assumably testosterone in general.

However, I've been confused as to the zinc intake thing, I've been taking the recommended dose which is 40mg's with food once a day, but I've heard mixed things about gentlemen taking significantly larger doses. Anyone able to steer me into what direction that would clear this confusion up?

if you're doomed to have low t, you're going to have low t.

i did all those things on that list and then some. and it didn't do shit. which was how I finally came to the conclusion to get things checked out.

turns out i'm hypogonadal clinically and no amounts of selenium or healthy fats was going to change it.

test cyp is.

This.

There's really not much to do naturally to significantly increase testosterone. Of course if you are an obese and you get leaner you will experience a slight increase in test levels but if you are living a normal life, lift weights, etc, and still have low test, you will need to get it checked out professionaly

Your testosterone is going to decline with age. That's a biological fact and there ain't shit you can do to stop it.

So what's your long-term solution for having high testosterone as you get older?

The stuff you posted about "serious side effects" is also female-driven hysteria. Guys have been running T since the 1950s.

http://dangerandplay.com/2013/01/17/he-h...t-therapy/

None of the guys from Pumping Iron dropped dead from steroids.

http://dangerandplay.com/2012/08/13/ster...-kill-you/

You are still very much "blue pill" if you are anti-testosterone. The same female-controlled media that taught you feminism has also made you afraid of the very essence of what it means to be a man.

Have you broken down how to manage the decline on any thread here?

Eg. In your 20's D&P has a post on not doing anabolics so where is the line?

Do we just take zinc/op comments in our 20's?
