When Did You Blossom?

I am curious as to when you got it all together, ie. red pill, physique, career, ect. Basically, the package deal.

I said 25, but I'm still getting my shit together. I feel like I have a long way to go before I truly arrive in all my glory.

It's taking a lot of work, and I believe I'm using all my conscious effort to make it happen.

It might be a matter of just "waiting for the change" but I'll be damned if there's something that can be done to expedite the process and I'm not on it. This is the greatest source of conflict in my life.

As you know from a previous thread, I'm thoroughly red pill, but still waiting on the overall overhaul of my life.

This is a really tough question, I finalized my conversion to red pill at 23, that was a rather quick improvement, but I am still continuing to improve gradually in other areas like fitness and finance.

I believe you are offering too low ages. A man can improve in all areas until 40 and continue to improve financially even later.

Tough question Ali, but I'm like soup above, still young and still changing gradually, and waiting for the change is internally doing some damage but it's a fight that I'm engaged in and winning. It's a tug of war with the anchor lodged in the blue pill harbour, the ship's ready to sail, hell the anchor's even moved half a league out into the red pill sea. A few more weeks, a couple of months and the ship will be out pillaging forever making constant raids on the blue pill shore. Having the two mates on board makes it an adventure I'm looking forward to.

One reason I started this thread, is the last couple months I've seen guys from high school, that had it together physically and with women, are looking like absolute shit now.

Was curious if any of you guys got it together early, and have been able to maintain later on.

But thank God better late then Never ........

Given your late realization and good game level, I have to say you're the only person I have ever met in my life who really turned it around after the age if 29. Usually people who pass 30 are "blue pill lifers". That's half the reason I was interested in meeting you, which was certainly a good decision. The career you set up is also more than 99% of people can say for themselves.

To the OP, I'd say still working... If I can't live off income from investments consider my life to be a work in progress still. Freedom is really what the red pill is about.

Banging bitches and rags to riches. That's the goal.

I was slow to develop physically. In the military I could get up still drunk and run a 19 minute 3 miler in Okinawa, but my body was resistant to gains on the free weights. Somewhere around 25 things changed, and I bulk up quick now with 3 months in the gym.

I started learning red pill after boot camp. A slow progression, but it was a start. It helped me accept game at 20, when a couple heavy hitters took me under their wing and taught me the ways of women. Again, not instant, but I was fast tracked for sure.

My shit came together in my late 20's, with a fat salary and a year of war under my belt. That's really when the red pill was swallowed, b/c I learned to truly not give a fuck.

When younger, I was envious of guys that had gotten it together early, but have long since realized getting it right, has made my 30's amazing. Burning out in my 20's would have sucked. I hope this will carry through my 40's.

@Ali-B- What changed around 25 that allowed you to gain weight?

I am having the same problem- I am under 25 and its tough to add weight. I eat non-stop and attack the gym and hover around the same weight

Every year on my birthday I find myself looking back and thinking "god damn I was such a dumb retard". I'm not sure I'll ever feel fully satisfied with my personal growth, no matter how good things get.

Fuck if I know. It just started late. Even doing heavy body weight exercises with no supplements added a little bulk. In the late 20's, my job was physically demanding, and every couple my g/f would see me and get wet because of the veins in my forearms. I was nowhere close to that in my early 20's, no matter how hard I tried.

I wonder if guys have a sweet spot that varies because of genetics? Most Johnny Football guys I know seem to have went to shit.

I'm kind of at stage II of blossoming.

Stage I was when I was about 27 or so. I finally got my business running, got an awesome bachelor pad apartment in the city, learned how to dress better, learned how to game women. I was on top of things for the first time.

Then I got married and just kind of coasted for years. No complaints at all. That was a sweet time to just enjoy working on the house, riding my bike, playing with the kiddies.

Now at 50 that has turned into a trap. I have to break out and change into a greybearded wolf. It's a different kind of ferocity that you need at this stage. Just as important at this age, because your body doesn't naturally have an abundance of energy...you have to created that new energy by an act of will.

Probably just this last year. I'm 33 now. Got my first whiff of reality with Tom Leykis probably seven or eight years ago, but despite this it took a lot - a LOT - of time for everything to sink in. David Deida and David D'Angelo helped - Deida especially helped me to understand how I out-beta'd myself out of a relationship with the love of my life, for instance.

A watershed moment was when I read The Game straight through in one sitting. Like any other self-help book, it was a vision of what was possible more so than a road map on how to get there. But it was incredibly inspiring.

Still, it's only been since late 2011/early 2012 that I really started to truly internalize the whole deal, and I had a lot of fits and starts. Still working on myself and wrapping my head around everything. In the meantime, still trying to get made and get paid.

Check out my occasionally updated travel thread - The Wroclaw Gambit II: Dzięki Bogu - as I prepare to emigrate to Poland.

Still haven't. I'm only 22 though and I get better every year, so I'm hopeful.

And another one. I try not to keep up with the old high school crowd, but a chick I talked to last year keeps up with all the gossip. I can't believe the dudes that killed themselves. Hanging, gun, od, ect. Most of these were "cool" in school. Athletes. Nerds.

It's really hard to have your shit together financially or have any kind of decent status before your mid 20s. That's also when your testosterone levels peak so it's possible to start getting in the best shape after your mid 20s.

Much red-pill wisdom seems to be most effective during a man's peak years (mid 20s to mid 40s). I don't think any guys are really going to have their career and financial life straightened out or be really good at cold approaching at like 21 or something. You're just way too young at that point.

Same here. My graduating class was composed of 163 students. I'm in my mid-twenties, and literally, 1 of every 10 people I graduated with, is dead.

Physical - late 20s
Education - late 20s
Financial - early/mid 30s
Professional - mid-30s
Red pill - early 30s

That said, I had the most fun in the mid-20s, when some delusions were still intact and the trajectory in all aspects of life was still clearly upward.

Still working on it.

Currently, I am unemployed and just moved back in with Mom. But I probably have more money in the bank than most guys my age.

I am in decent shape, but nothing amazing.

So yeah, a lot of work to be done.

I'm really curious about those 4 guys that blossomed at 19-21. How the fuck can you 'blossom' at 19, that's mathematically impossible, that's like saying you reached your physical prime when you were 1 month old..when you're 18 you're barely starting in life!

most people talk about blossoming when they're in highschool. e.g. "s/he was so shy as a freshman, but then in his/her sophmore year, s/he really blossomed out of nowhere and became friends with everybody."

so everyone who blossomed post 18 is a late bloomer IMO.

They are either teenagers or had a disappointing time after 20.

To me (29) the professional/financial is where I'm stuck. I need to work for myself, I just can't figure out how to do it. Got an engineering degree but I do sales. Would like to somehow sharpen those skills and freelance a bit.

On a side note, I have two theories (probably flawed) on what causes late bloomers:

1) Environmental: People exposed to less stressful environments growing up tend to be late bloomers. I read that children from single mother households tend to hit puberty earlier.

2) Genetic diversity: Now this is entirely a guess on my part. Basically, if women were only going for one alpha male this would cause a problem with regard to genetic diversity. So if at different points different men become the 'alpha', it allows for women to still chase the alpha male while at the same time propagating a variety in the gene pool, thus enhancing the survival probability of the species as a whole. While women are predominantly 'quality' oriented, I still think they have some need for quantity/diversity. Just as how men are predominanty 'quantity' oriented, I still don't get a boner for most fatties.

Civilize the mind but make savage the body.
