Need help with brainstorming. How to attract interns?

First off, thanks to all the guys who replied by pm to my thread about interns wanted. I'm excited to meet in person the guys who have decided to join the crew.

Since that time of making the thread, brainstorming with the first intern has broadened the vision of what projects to work on considerably; I'm reminded of so many projects that I've been sitting on, and putting together the pieces in a way that would provide magical synergy between projects. I'm going to need a minimum of 20 interns, who will be overseeing a much larger global network of affiliates and outsourced labor. We'll have projects in over 5 main industries, that will network together. Many of the projects have strong and long term lifestyle benefits. As well as of course financial benefits.

This forum attracts a crowd with above average creativity and intelligence, and many share lifestyle goals, which can help with group cohesion. Large as it is, I'm going to need to expand the search for guys who are at a financial crossroads in life who want to learn about entreprenurial endeavors and who want the opportunity to work within a strong community of like minded men as a syndicate for long term wealth and other benefits.

Why spend 50k up and put in 4 years of hard dedicated effort during peak years for an education that often has little bearing on future work? Intership would have all living expenses paid, with profits quickly earned and a potential for income far above a salary.

But how do I reach very talented young men who would benefit from my direction and knowledge? I also want to screen out aspergy and low T guys. The vision requires me being very picky - this is not just a business arrangement - this will be a social arrangement. We will be a posse. A tribe. We should be proud of association, and benefit each other for life.

Should I have the current interns become active and respected members in other forums? If so, which ones? Should I place print ads in university newspapers? Where can I reach the brilliant motivated red pill men who could benefit from association with our crew?

Oh - I just had an idea. If you have any brilliant and cool friends who are at a financial crossroads, send them my way.

Brainstorm with me here.

Personally speaking, money is not enough to attract me to such a project. The idea of a tribe is great. But I think people of intelligence are mainly attracted to projects that will expand their ability to perceive, interpret and act upon the world. The carrot is increased personal agency in fields that are meaningful to them. Don't forget about ideals, either - many good people want to make the world "a better place", even though that may be a naive viewpoint.

That's very interesting and useful feedback. Yes, I'd considered making a mission statement, and causing benefit would definetly be on it. Some of the business ventures are literally life saving, and generally we'd not touch anything at any profit that caused harm.

I'll be enhancing peoples entrepreneurial skills and knowledge, and getting the best of them to work towards and achieve partnership in some very lucrative businesses - so that enhances agency, and helps to perceive things from a business point of view. There is one business that will involve an esoteric knowledge info-product, but I hadn't considered that anyone in the group would have enough interest or the background to participate in it, though of course that info would be made available. That's just a side project that will help expand my networking and possibly bring interest from girls, and that I'm told can be very lucrative.

Ideals, community, lifestyle, wealth. Esoteric knowledge I can offer in some areas, but that's not something I'd push or propose that others learn - I think people need their own inspiration to learn some of the stuff I have a background and interest in - but I'm willing to share what I can.

But I want to mix wealth with lifestyle and community. For instance a portion of profits will be put towards spending too much money on our compounds. I envision that we live semi-communally, Entourage style, but keep 2nd and 3rd apartments in nightlife districts for occasional use. We should spend too much of my share of the money on lifestyle, in order to make it painful for people to leave the group - painful to leave the lifestyle. We'll eventually have blue water sail boats as part of the business and for our use, and office/villas in Eastern Europe, and Central and South America that members are free to travel between. And some of the businesses provide regular high access to hot young talent.

It's true, it's not just about money. For instance I already have enough personal money. It's about more than that.

If you want to attract the absolute best interns who are already good with internet marketing, then get in touch with Dan Andrews and ask him about placing an ad on his DC community. Even better, get into the DC (Dynamite Circle, which is by far the best paid membership site hands down for business/lifestyle entrepreneurs out there) and you will learn not only a ton there but also meet all the potential interns of a much higher calibre than you could get anywhere.

Question: Are you planning on re-locating all your interns to your current location?

Need help with brainstorming. How to attract interns?

I've come across the tropical mba website before, and it seems they are doing good work, but I can't remain interested in their video podcasts because it comes across as contentless inspiration with no actionable items.

I understand that a lot of guys pay good money for inspiration. There are people whose job description is to be an inspirational speaker. Nearly 20% of their paid forum members flew out to Thailand for a meetup, and they make huge $ off of their monthly subscriptions for other content.

But my business model is not enthusing other people. I don't sell info products, and I don't sell the dream. I sell stuff.

When I was a kid I sent a $5 bill in the mail in answer to a classified ad that promised me $ for stuffing envelopes. As a response it told me to put an ad in the paper promising people big money for stuffing envelopes, in return for $5.

The business model for selling the dream of a location independent lifestyle is a good solid income, but I can only listen to ten or max fifteen minutes of enthusiasm before I tune out and want to do something more productive with my time.

I don't have any problem with motivation. I don't need inspiration. I'm not sitting on my ass waiting for someone or something to give me some ideas or prod me along. If anything I have to limit my inspiration. I'm loaded with inspiration - it's not commodity that I would pay others for.

Is there something I'm missing? I admit I've not been patient enough to delve into what they are offering. And a great many guys find value in what they offer.
