Data Sheet: University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana

Ok guys...for those of you who dont know, Champaign/Urbana are twin cities located next to each other with a combined population of approximately 120,000 people in the state of Illinois. It is home to the University of Illinois, U of I or simply Illinois as its known by the students. This university is considered a party school and there is always things to do here. I am currently enrolled here and have information revolving campus aged activities so I cannot claim that I have been and seen everything these twin cities have to offer, so if anyone who has been to Champaign/Urbana and has anything to add, feel free to do so.

Location: These twin cities are located in central Illinois right in the heart of the state. It is three hours south of Chicago and three hours north of St. Louis, Missouri. The main area covered in this sheet will be the downtown area and the college campus area.

Transportation:: Having a car is not necessary and almost useless. Its very hard to find parking and if you do you will have to purchase a parking permit so I recommend not to take a car with you. The main downtown and school campus ground area is relitively compact and no more than 2-5 miles away at the most. Everything is within walking distance and with all the alcohol in your system its a good idea not to drive.

Parties: There is always some sort of party going on everyday at U of I. Frat and Sorority parties are the cream of the crop here. Green street is where its at here where there are many drunk chicks walking around all over campus getting wasted. Invite yourself to one of the after parties, no one cares, as it degenerates into a free for all later that night.

Girls: We have a huge range of chicks on campus, being a Big 10 school we have all kinds of ethnicities imaginable.

Asian: There is lots of Asians at U of I. It is the biggest minority on campus. You see many Asian Americans and many Asians fresh off the boat from countries in Asia mainly China and Korea who are all here for the Engineering program which is considered to be one of the best in the country. There are lots of cute Asian girls everywhere you go. So if the petite Asian look is your thing you will love it here. The Asian girls are mostly seen in the Engineering department and libraries.

Jewish: U of I has a huge Jewish population and the school is often refer to as "Jew of I" by other schools in the MidWest. Most Jewish girls here major in History or Political science. If you love Jewish girls you will get a kick out of checking them out in the Poli sci department and Law Department as well.

Indian: There is also a big pocket of Indians and Indian girls. Of course these are the Indian American girls. I know many cats who love Indian girls but do not seem to crack them open but U of I is probably the only place where I thought Indian girls were down to earth.

The majority of girls here are white obviously but there are also small pockets of Polish who come from Chicago, Latinas, Blacks,Swedes, Spanish and many others.

Day Gaming: Green street is the main drag here with plenty of places to eat, especially Asian restarants and Jewish restaurants to cater to the demographic. On a nice day you see a good amount of dimes and surprisingly very little bitch shields. I think girls in the midwest are alot nicer than many girls in the East Coast or West Coast in my opinion. Chicks tend to walk solo along this street and around campus on their way to class, which makes it easier for them to be approached. If your rolling solo, bring a backpack or a notebook to make it look like your studying so you wont have a creep factor.

Cafeteria Game: Go into any dining hall around campus, pay the 8 bucks for your meal and approach away. Many chicks eat by themselves and you can pretend as if your waiting for a friend or have class nearby. I have had a lot of success in college in the cafeteria. I dont know why but Im always motivated to approach in the cafeteria. I just sit next to a cute girl while shes eating and chat her up.

Night Game:: Bars! Bars! Bars! There are many of them and you will most likely have no problem having something to do at night. Here is a list of bars:

Murphys Pub: This is one of the campus' more laid back bar where you can definitely enjoy a chill night out. Try the Irish nachos, they are quite good. This is more of a pre-game bar where many students come here with friends.

Clybourne: Its a coffee shop by day and a crowded dance club by night. Being one of the few bars with an actual dance floor in campus and stripper poles, this place gets packed really quick. Id skip this if it gets too crowded.

Kams: Or as its referred by the owner "Home of the Drinking Illini". Tuesdays is country night and really enjoy it. This is one of my favorite bars as the majority of the people that come here come dressed as cowboys and many of the girls here are DTF. There is something about country night that brings out the slut in the girls here. Ive had a few notches from this place.

Radio Maria: This is a Spanish restaurant and Tapa Bar by day and dance club by night. This is a club located outside of campus grounds. Its more of a Latin type of club with Brazilian night on Friday where Brazilian Americans come to dance Samba. Saturdays is Salsa and Bachata music. If Latin dances is your thing, you will kill here with the Latinas. Lots of cougars also. Majority Latino venue.

Joe's Brewery: 2 dollar Jaggerbombs and dollar beers on Thursdays. This is easily the most popular bar on campus. Most popular doesnt make it necesarily the best. I personally dont like it but many people here rave about it, mostly for its cheapness.

Overall I love my school. But when it comes to gaming I feel you will get rewarded a lot faster than many places in the country. Theres a lot of MidWestern hospitality here where many of the students are from the nearby farms. This is an advantage over the majority of MidWestern men who dont have much game. Ive never seen dudes game here or seeing women get approach even and whenever it happens youll find that a lot of the girls will be receptive. Very little bitch shields. Everybody is friendly. I will be going to Spain for a study abroad next year and that will be my real challenge.

I went to school there. Surprised that all these places still exist. Might have to make a trip there in the near future. Unofficial St. Patty's Day is an absolute shitshow, but if you start early, you can get the girls while they're only tipsy.

Indian girls are easy if you're Indian. Otherwise it's all social circle based.

Great data. Made my way there 2 years ago while in Uni to visit a girl I met while traveling. Was at U of I for the weekend, coming from a similar B1G school. Green street sounds familiar.

Note: School has a very good Computer Science and Accounting department. Girl I visited was Indian American. Very sharp girl, sexy, rich Indian. She lived with a bunch of hot slutty Jewish girls. So I can vouch for the OP stereotypes. One was fucking a rando when I walked in her house.

Also, Unofficial St Pattys day = for sure. Real St. Pattys day may draw a lot of girls to Chicago for the dyeing the river green show.

Anybody got other info on other college towns in the Midwest?

How does Champaign-Urbana compare to Bloomington, Indiana, Madiscon Wisconsin, etc?

I think Bloomington, IN is tops in the Big Ten if you want hot white girls....I'm also a bit biased since I'm an alumn. First, there's no engineering school which keeps a lot of unattractive people (no offense) out and leaves more room for hot dumb communications majors. There's a lot of blondes from the state of IN and tons of east coast girls, and honeys from wealthy suburbs in Chicago. Really all over the country while U of I is like 90% in-state.

Plus the campus is breathtakingly gorgeous, and there's cool outdoorsy stuff to do in the surrounding area if you're into that (hiking in Brown County, boating during the summer etc.). U of I is literally surrounded by cornfields, and the locals are somewhat ghetto. I would bust out a data sheet, but there's really only one thing you need to know....SPORTS. Kilroy's Sports is one of the best bars in the country. There's a reason it makes this list which is mostly high end nightclubs in big cities http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/21...91113.html . From the ground floor bar to the patio to the dance party upstairs there's literally something for everyone. The place is crawling with girls, if you can't at least get a makeout here then you need to rethink your game.

I've also spent quite a bit of time in Madison, WI, and there's definitely some talent there but also more of a San Fran hippie vibe mixed with German-American Wisconsin farm kids. People are more about drinking beer in social circles, whereas in Bloomington it's perfectly acceptable to black out on cheap vodka and bring home a rando.

I can bust out a datasheet if this post garners significant interest....

I'm planning on staying in Urbana for a few days so great advice! Won't hurt to do some research before pulling some hot coeds into either my airbnb or a hotel. I've visited the city a couple times as a teen/young adult and like TheChi says the city is surrounded by cornfields. I wish I could vouch for the friendliness of the locals and walking distance but that's just something I will have to experience myself.

Only thing I can add is don't take the greyhound down here. I used that service before and the bus broke down probably because the company doesn't do maintenance.

I've been to both Bloomington and Champaign for Big 10 games.

When you're talking universities, they're both really solid. Let's be honest guys, college chicks are all hot (maybe I'm getting old).

Bloomington is better. It's a very nice town, plus I agree there's other stuff to do. It's higher class.

Champaign seemed like a trash town, based on walking back from the game afterward. That said, it's a great party town. We even went for Dad's weekend, and we still had a blast. Also, Memorial Stadium is pretty cool. Kams is party central.

If you just want to get out of town and have some fun partying, I would suggest either of them for home football games in the fall.

(Don't sleep on Iowa City for a great centralized party town. It's up there.)

Thanks heavy

I'll have to check out Bloomington too! But first Urbana haha I honestly have too many plates/tasks going on right now but it's always important to have some fun.

Considering how college is already outdated the concept of shelling out 10K+ will be outdated if not outright nonexistent for the kids that are currently in grade school. I think college game will change so everybody here might as well take advantage of college towns while they still last. I think we're due for VR and online education in 2028 assuming America doesn't devolve or dissolve.

If you're not driving & your trip is originating from the city of Chicago take the Amtrak from Union Station. If you're in the south suburbs of Chicago, hop on the Amtrak at the Homewood stop for a head start (this is also a Metra station). I had a sibling that attended school at U. of Illinois Champaign-Urbana years ago.

Other Big 10 college towns to check out right off the top of my head include the two in Michigan (Ann Arbor - home of U of Michigan & East Lansing - home of Michigan State). Also gotta mention the bigger city of Columbus, Ohio (Ohio State). I haven't been to Columbus so I really can't comment on it. The guys I know that were affiliated with Ohio State or spent time in Columbus loved it though.
