Silver Linings Playbook

I can hardly watch 5 minutes of this movie. It's full of so much blue pill shit it's hard to take. I heard about it randomly so just downloaded it. Didn't even know what it was about beforehand.

Anybody actually watch the whole thing?

I thought it was funny. Sappy without a doubt but I knew that going into it.

I guess this is yet another example of people unable to appreciate arts/media because they have to watch it through a game filter. RELAX.

No need to watch that crap when some real good stuff is out there.

When this film first came out I went with my sister to go watch it. All I knew was that my sister was buying my ticket and Rotten Tomatoes had rated it quite highly.

At first I absolutely hated it, and the idea that the protagonist couldn't get over his extreme case of Oneitis. Especially when I liked the female lead - that dark-haired quasi-goth type prone to being a nut is one of my favourite types, and here she is trying to love this fucked-up guy and all he does is keep talking to her about the ex he caught getting fucked by another dude in his house... and how he's going to get her back, blah blah blah

It was a blue pill that was choking me out just by looking at it.

But that is the cause for the character development in the film... and I recall being somewhat pleased with the way the ending turned out after hating the behavior and actions of the protagonist throughout pretty much the whole film.

I think it's worth the the two hours of your lifetime, just to see the main character wake up in the end.

Is there some Eagles/Philly bias to that?

I thought it was decent myself. The first part of the movie is actually funny, to me the second half when it became a slower love thing it became boring. But thats my take.

It is an excellent movie.

And what Vicious said.

Jennifer Lawrence has a huge head. It's distracting.

You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.
