Anyone else ever thought of this?

Estimated 35,000 troops will be back in the USA this year. Last time I was flying at a major airport a few months back, they seemed to be everywhere.

I just thought to myself...more male competition, ratios on the USA are bad enough as is. It's basically as close to China for being a western country as possible (could find this data but will take forever).

Will it have any effect? Keep in mind, these dudes are thirsty, and a lot of them aren't married or have a woman to come back to. Also a lot of them are your standard "toughguys".

Looking at it from that angle, I should be a hardcore Republican.

It really only affects ratios if you live in a military town. These guys are re-deploying; they're not all getting out of the army at the same time.

35k is a small figure. plus many military are married or are from the sticks and part of the reason they join is because its hard to find work in the small towns they come from.

Between ages 18-40 men do outnumber heavily in the US. The only there's more women because women live longer on average and the senior citizen bracket. Also, the majority of Hispanic immigrants to the US are male. Think of how many "mexican dudes" you know opposed to mexican chicks.

I also think the situation in the US is somewhat similar to China.

At least in China, while the men outnumber by more, the women are generally not fat, feminine, and age better.

In the US, the level of attractive women (even with better ratios than China) past age 27 is so low in most of the country it might as well be China.

It's mathematically accurate, I don't see how that's trolling. The US is a sausage fest. Bringing that to surface could be upsetting to some and I apologize for that.

Any discussion that isn't started by the same 3 people seems to be considered trolling. A new member starts a topic, and it's controversial, would be fine if started by established member.

Even a fat woman can post halfway seductive pics on facebook and get 20 likes within a few hours. That's how bad the situation in a lot of the US is. And it's only gonna get worse.

I'd personally support an immigration program to bring in attractive women from across the world if I were delivering the State of The Union tonight. It would make the US a better society.

What I'm saying is, this imbalance is a reason why women cheat more than men now. Women initiate the majority of divorces. This whole thing that men cheat is a myth perpetuated by the small percent of badboys/ladykillers who have been breaking hearts since 8th grade..i.e., not the majority of men. The amount of men who unsuccessfully try to cheat is never talked about.

What's happened is, the average woman thinks she's too good for the average man. Because the US has so many fatties and unattractive women, the "average" woman (who isn't fat) is allowed to think she's hot, just because of sheer male attention. The only way to correct this is to import hot women from other countries that want to live in the US. No guys are going to complain, and the feminists will get mad (but wouldn't care if more fat/unnattractive women were brought to the US).

If the US had lots of hot women, the average woman wouldn't think she's above the average guy. Because of the current state of affairs, she does. You do see hot women with below average looking guys, but it's usually not in the long term and he's paying her bills in the process.

Are you actually reading the responses? No one is upset by what you are saying. People are disagreeing with your theory. 35,000 dudes redeploying from Afghanistan is not the end of WW2 with millions of men returning home at the same time. Unless you live in one of the towns where these units are stationed, you won't notice this at all.

35k is a drop in the bucket, that's the 10 year population change of some podunk 3rd tier city. And if you look at the stats, the worst cheaters in the states are Army spouses. This theory is of no logical or anecdotal value to me.

I'd be willing to wager that these guys are actually going to be doing you a favor. A lot of these guys are gonna be so pussy-starved that they're going to latch onto the first thing that gives them a second glance which, will in many cases be girls from the lowest rungs who happen to be soldier groupies. I was at a bar this past weekend and the place was pretty packed, the vibe was good and the talent respectable. On my way to order a drink I passed by the front window and saw the line outside, and saw there were 5 dudes waiting to get in and only 3 girls.

From then on I knew the night would be ruined. How could the atmosphere of the bar possibly withstand the influx of a net +2 increase of men?

Also, they were pretty tough looking. One of them even had tattoos.

So I just went home and swore off the game. There's nothing you can do when the ratio of men to women increases by a fraction of a percentage point. You might as well not even try.
