As more and more comes out, a different picture is being painted. It appears he was concerned about her cheating, and their marriage was kind of rocky. That may have been part of the impetus for her to take this trip with a girlfriend - to get some travel dick. I never bought the drug mule angle, but her staying with dudes on her side trips makes a lot more sense - she was doing what WE like to do in finding hook-ups in different countries. Even if the hubby supposedly was aware of it and signed off, it doesn't mean homie in Amsterdam didn't run up in her. All that aside, it's fucked up that she ended up dead, and they need to find the cat that killed her. It doesn't look promising though...
