SouthBeach vs. Vegas for a weekend ?

If you had a party weekend lined up, which city would get the nod?

sort of a win win situation.

I have much more experience in MIA but figure some of the players here might be equally familiar with both.

usual things to consider:
talent
ease of bangs
cost
fun
etc..

look forward to responses...

South Beach is popping right now so I would go there. Once pool season kicks off in Vegas in a few months then it's a toss-up but Vegas has a slight edge.

Do you like gambling or do you like the beach and boating?

The main question is "when" is this trip going to be?

I don't know if I would go summer in Vegas.

That place is an inferno in summer.

Your steering wheel will melt.

I'm always at the pool or inside the hotel in the Summer, so the hot temperature is great. Basically don't walk, don't drive so its really a non-issue. I've been there when its 110+ degrees ("its a dry heat"), and its much more tolerable than the humidity in Miami in the summer months, where I just sweat like crazy everywhere.

That whole "it's a dry heat" thing is BS when your watch is melting into your arm.

But yeah, this is a preference thing.

I wouldn't go to a Vegas pool party even if someone gave me $600k in a brown paper bag to show up.

If you're going to Vegas for pool parties you're either stupid or famous. Logistics are complete crap and rows of sunglasses ie: d-bags. Walked into one last year and left within 45 minutes when I saw an overweight man spending money on champagne to entice the waitress to drink with him in his tent. Of course he was also eating nachos with extra cheese + jalapeños.

I would take $600K to show up though, means you're famous. Win win.

Shit, just realized you go to pool parties, find that surprising as all hell.

Respectfully disagree about the pool party bit. Its great if your early 30s or under, fantastic body.

Its then easier than shooting lay-ups. For everybody else, avoid.

Personally, I have gone for about a 3-4 days straight w/locals (its free for locals, so lots of UNLV college kids/strippers/hotties show up). Toptional at the Mandalay (not sure if this is the correct hotel...), Hard Rock on Saturdays, etc etc.

Definetely avoid the "hyped events" that have no rhyme or reason behind them (besides being a money-suck)- aka Rehab Sundays.

Its less of a shitshow and more just to get drinks and chill by the pool, listen to some music. Its also a good place to take a nap and get some vitamin D.

Is that free for GUY locals as well? If so, how do they check? See if you have a NV driver's license?

I enjoy Encore Beach Club, which is fairly classy and its not a shitshow. Also enjoy Wet Repubulic, which is a bit more of a shit show but its fun as hell nonetheless. They keep the ratios in pretty decent check (moreso at EBC). Bitch shields are non-existent, you can just approach whole groups of girls all day without getting shut down with the strangest openers (just come up and splash water at someone) and its not really a big thing since everyone is having a good time, practically naked and drinking.

Logistics are fine if you're staying in the hotel where the pool party is. Rehab used to be the best for this because they let you go up and down all day without problem (haven't been in a while for this party though...they really started getting strict on security and stuff like that which kind of killed it).

Daygame in the pools >> any nightclub, VIP anything. The people are cooler, the vibe is better and its just great being outside.

@Technics- yes guy locals too. NV driver's license or UNLV student ID. I was highly debating getting a summer class at unlv (something small, then getting a student ID...). Local's nights/Industry night or day is usually off-days though. Nobody will let you get into Rehab Sundays for free.

Rebel place near UNLV (student dorm-style housing apartment complex has the sickest pool, 18-22 year old girls playing bpong in the pool.good stuff) is another plus.

@PartyonBro- for full on ragers (TaoBeach w/big DJS, etc etc). Yea, or you could just say "hi, why arent you wet yet?" Girl giggles. Grab her and her friends and jump into the pool. The hop out and dance w/them.

Part 2- Send them out on scouting mission to get free drinks! Tell them to come back when they are drunk.... Girls always blush at this, then get this naughty smile. Its funny because you point out dudes who are likely to buy her drinks. This is a good way to get rid of cockblocks as well.

Im thinking 2nd week June

Don't care about gambling.

I like the pool party scene in soBe-perry on saturdays/shore sundays. nothing like being outside with great music. the youtube videos from vegas do however seem like an mma-porn star convention; not sure id like that the same

I do wonder whether vegas nightlife is better. Ive had some so-so nights out in miami ..places like LIV, mynt have been both lame and ridiculously priced.

Both Miami and Las Vegas will be hot during the second week in June. I don't think Las Vegas will be unbearably hot like it will be in August. Miami will be rainier the second week in June than Las Vegas. The top tier people definitely will not be going to Miami in June. The top tier is there right now. I recently returned from Miami. I would give a slight edge to Las Vegas. If it were January or February we were talking about, Miami would be the clear winner. I'll probably be in Las Vegas for the Mayweather fight in early May and for at least a week before the fight.

Having worked as a host for Encore Beach Club I can tell you firsthand you will have blast and the ratio is very good.

It will cost you $100/guy to get in but it's worth it. If money is a factor, get a room at Encore, predrink and walk downstairs to EBC. Best djs in the world and the women are in full slut mode.

For June why not go to Montreal?

F1, Jazz Fest etc.

Montreal dominates both in June in my opinion (although I have never been to Miami in June).

^plan to be in MTL on the regular as it is

For that particular weekend going with a few guys usually on lockdown looking for more of a 'getaway'

Guess when something is close seems less exotic (I'm n Toronto)

Gotcha.

June is best in San Diego and LA.

If you go July, go to San Diego for sure. Del Mar Racetrack.

June in LA is overcast ("June Gloom") most of the day.

Same in San Diego.

I would still take that over Las Vegas weather wise.

Guys I have talked to in real life have had much better experiences with vegas when we talk about getting the bang. Apparently the girls in Miami might be cute but their standards are on par with the rich girls of so cal.

Only go to Miami, if you know Spanish well. Vegas is like paradise if you know the right people and places. Miami girls are a lot less friendlier, and they will usually say " solo hablo espanol", and blow you off.

Las Vegas is probably easier on a night to night, mano a mano match up.

Miami Beach is better if you have a little time and the skillz.
