I got an Ipad..

So, I have this IPAD 2.

I am not sure what to do with this thing.

I just downloaded the Facebook application. I figure some seasoned vets of the IPAD world can help me out with useful apps, tutorials, and stuff that a budding writer/player can use to up his game to the next level.

It is good to use when you are on a treadmill or exercise bike so you can catch up on the forum here or other sites. Surprising time flies quickly when reading something and doing the exercise at the same time.

Use it in a coffee shop while day gaming if that's your style. Otherwise, because of their size they're good for traveling, as it's nice not to lug a laptop & accessories around. I keep mine in my bedroom so I can easily look something up if I need to, and also as a prop to transition girls from my living room to my bedroom. "Hey, let's go look at some pictures I took last week, they're on my iPad."

You don't know what to do with it? So you just got it for free or cheap?

Sell it. Buy something you know will be useful.

If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.

iPad? I don't go for Apple products, because I can make my own apps for Android without paying an entry fee, but as with any tablet of any kind, Apps are king. For a player, I'm not sure what you can find, but whatever it is, it'll be likely pretty underground, so be prepared to do some shoveling.

As a writer, you will want to use it for two reasons : Research and writing on the go. There are great note-taking apps, but I'd go for Evernote.

Sometimes tho, I seem to fly on touchscreen keyboards, and sometimes I fail hard on them, so if you prefer, a wireless keyboard is not such a bad idea if you plan on doing heavy writing.

Honestly, just hitting a coffee shop and doing research on the IPAD can increase day game opportunities.

I'll load up evernote this afternoon.

My dad bought an iPad 2 a while ago. Used it as a reader, even though I recommended a kindle or a android tablet. He ended up giving it to me. A 32g version.

I personally was a person that was against iPads.waste of money. Considering I got it for free I find ways to put use to it.
It's been said before,but ...

Upload all your travel pictures to it.
I always pull it out an show people the pictures. It's become a nice prop when I tell a story and want to have a picture to go with it.

Upload all your music to it.
I have a giant music library. Luckily I was gifted the version with the larger hard drive.
I use to feel kinda gay about it. But I take my iPad with me to the car. And plug it to my stereo. I never have to listen to shitty radio music.
It also become an interesting prop when girls get in. They can waste time playing with it.
*this kinda backfires when chicks wanna browse the whole time. So I took off any app that a girl might like.plus the lack of Internet means they can't check Facebook.

Apps.
I personally prefer hard copies of notes. But the Evernote program is pretty handy
Penultimate.
Different news apps. When I'm sitting in a lobby or somewhere with wifi , I can read news articles

Kindle app. Fill it up with all my books...bang,day bang ,compliments and cuddles ect

Google translate

Google chrome browser
Spotify and pandora are great music appsq
I remember most of my stuff or write it down. But since it syncs with my gmail I have a copy of my calendar.

Again. I lived all my life without this technology.
I don't recommend anyone go out an buy one of these unless you really like technology.
But as a gift. There are a lot of features and apps that are..convenient

If you find yourself in need of a smooth glass-like surface that's easy to hold and can be passed around without too much difficulty, look no further than an ipad. [Image: wink.gif]

You can use it for most of what you use a computer for, although not always as effectively or efficiently.

Download cool music and travel pictures, use it as a glorified musical picture frame. Apart from the bedroom idea, find apps to plug you into social network networks and find apps for setting up insta date logistics, think yelp and other aggregators. You could download some games, challenge girls to wagers while gaming them. I personally think its a time sink, data mining tool and glorified toy. Have had one for a year, apart from checking mail, keeping in touch with family and one on one business pitches I'd rather sell it.

Use some Skymiles to get a super cheap subscription to The Economist and get the ipad app instead of print.

I use my iPad to read books, internet, and minor typing. Use the same apps as my iPhone: Newsify (RSS reader), Thinkorswim (broker), Evernote, Wordpress, myfitnesspal, Dropbox, Google Drive, Spotify, Netflix, ESPN FC, ESPN Scorecenter, WatchESPN, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Yeah, I got my for free. I think it is pretty useless if you have a laptop, ereader, smartphone, and IPOD already but can't deny it is fun to play with.

I'll load up those apps when I get a chance.

I guess we can chalk this up to the "genius" of apple to create products we really don't need.

I hear Apple is creating an inspector gadget like watch.

I wonder if they will create a farting toaster. [Image: dodgy.gif]

I think I was given a really expensive toy I'll be using for the internet, music, and to watch movies, well, not really movies since I have a laptop for that.

I do think it be cool to scope out online dating options while at a coffee shop though.

Hell, throwing a coffee shop into the mix increases my odds of keeping the product. It is a conversation starter for sure.

Excellent newspaper. I miss when I had to read The Economist for a class back during my undergraduate years.

Despite the conservative opinons (I lean left), I wish I would have kept my subscription after undergraduate years.

Ha, sadly I am sitting at a Hillsborough County public school as I write this which means no Youtube.

I'm anxious to see what you posted.
