OKCupid Stats: Gender ratios by city/age

Some new website has some data on the gender ratios on OKCupid. I think it validates a lot of the naysayers--there's slightly over 2x mid-twenties guys on OKC than mid-twenties girls. Actually, I'm impressed at the action that I've gotten off the website with this enormous disadvantage.

It also shows that Boston, while having a smaller total user base, has the best gender ratio of the major cities: ...43%. The worst size and ratio? Miami. I guess that's why G doesn't like OKC, huh? [Image: pimp.gif]

Since it's against OKC's terms of use to compile data like this, I'm not sure how long the website will be up.

The stats do corroborate my experience on the site. Like you, I'm also impressed by the amount of bangs I've gotten from the site. There aren't many viable options in my area I've not yet exhausted, so I'll be deleting my profile within the next couple months. Online game can be fun and very easy if you know what you're doing and look reasonably attractive, however there are far too many entitled sluts and not enough talent for it to be worth the fuss.

I'm honestly surprised. I assumed that the ratio of any dating site was going to be at least 4:1, given the enormous amount of socially-awkward males and the lingering stigma of online dating. I guess the girls just can't resist the attention they receive.

I wonder if the womens' age peak at 23 is due to older girls settling down/canceling their profiles, or if it is just because older girls are not as comfortable with online dating as their younger sisters. The peak does make sense though... At 22-23, girls are graduating from college and realizing that they suddenly don't have a stream of men validating them like they used to: they're addicted after eight years of high school and college, and sites like OKCupid let them make up the slack.

I bet pay sites like Match and eHarmony get a bigger share of girls in their late 20s and 30s. By age 26 or 27, your typical SWPL chick is looking for a dude who can sink $9.99/mo. into getting that ass.

Also, consider that many male users never get a single lay or even a date out of okcupid. It's like I say about night game - if the ~20-30% of dudes who never got ass just sat it out, EVERYONE would be better off (except the proprietors of OKC, bars and clubs).

Interesting that DC has the best ratio of anywhere at 60% men/40% women

With such bad ratios/online dating being a sausage fest I sometimes consider it a miracle that I was getting around a bang a month off of it.

I've taken a hiatus from it because it was becoming too much of a crutch, but the bottom line is that just like in real life, getting her to feel comfortable then becoming an aggressive beast is the key.

You can absolutely kill it on the pay sites, match and e-harmony.
