Hey Guys! Shit! I've waited a month to get my membership on this forum. Lots of solid advice I must say and a lot of things I can corroborate. I have been all over the world, in leisure travels, business and while I was in the military. I still don't consider myself an expert globetrotter but I do have a solid foundation when it comes to traveling.

I need some advice. Here is the background. 2 of my old college roommates decided to take a shotgun trip to Europe last year. Long story short, when we were in the airport in Stockholm we decided that if we were single on January 1st 2013, we would plan a trip to Rio and Buenos Aires. I am a lawyer and I have some pre trial motions, so I can't make it down for Carnivale, but we plan on going on the 21st of March until April 4th or 5th. A solid 15 day trip.

I have been to S. America once. I went to Santiago, Chile for some snowboarding at Valle Nevado and took a bus from Santiago to Mendoza. I couldn't make it to B.A because of a time constraint. Everyone I talked to in Santiago said that, and I quote.. "Buenos Aires?! You don't gotta tell me twice". The stories i've heard were pretty hard to believe but after traveling to Mendoza and walking around the city, I started actually believing these stories.

My background: I am Spanish (Basque) and African American. I went to college in San Diego. I am about 6'1 and in decent shape, I am probably being modest. I am running the LA Marathon this year in March before my trip and training for 2 triathlons and a Iron man. I was in a fraternity so I am used to seeing some pretty hot girls. This was during the time when San Diego State was at its peak 04-06. We would have, at any given party night over 300 girls at our house. I studied abroad at the University of Stockholm for 6 months and I go back to Spain every so often to take care of family issues. My buddy has a similar background, except that he claims he pulls hotter girls than me. He is Italian and Irish and about 5'10. I guess its just a matter of taste. We never have problems finding girls when we travel abroad. I don't mean to talk about myself or sound cocky, but I want to establish the foundation that I am not some overweight, hairy fuck trying to put my dick in any wet hole.

After reading so many threads on here about Brazil, the culture (Ficar) and the women, I felt like I needed to post a few questions. One of the clerks in another office is from Rio and she told me that I basically, in so many words, wouldn't have a problem in Rio finding girls. A girl who I went to law school with was from Sao Paulo and she was a little bit more negative. But at the same time, I never gave her the time of day cause she had a personality like "Oh I am the Brazilian exchange law student" "everyone give me attention". I ignored her for 3 years.


What are the Brazilian women like?
What are Argentinian women like?
What advice do you have for 2 decent looking guys?


Also,

If you had 15 days in Brazil and Argentina, what would you see? I would like to visit the jungle and spend the night possibly.

Sorry this is so long, But I am sincerely asking for advice. I know the travel and sightseeing portion of this trip is equally important but women always play a major factor when abroad.

I promise you guys, I am not a douche bag American when I travel. There is nothing worse than seeing douche bag Americans abroad. I have a pretty mild demeanor and I am laid back.

Women in Argentina are much more difficult than the Brazilians.

Go to Manaus (also the cheaper flights from US) first, spend the weekend there, go to the River Beaches during the day... Then fly to Brasilia (cheap tickest) on Monday and by bus to Goiania (better tuesday night in Brazil) to save money. From there, fly to Porto Alegre for the weekend, on Sunday/Monday catch a cheap flight to Buenos Aires... just to go there for normal tourism (or skip it) and go back to Rio, and back to US from there...

You will know the Jungle in Manaus and the easiest city in Brazil, then Goiania, best city of the country in a ballance of quality, quantity and easiness), Porto Alegre, best woman and Rio, most beautiful city. And of course, if you change the week days and weekends, it will not be so good as if I suggested... it makes a really big difference!

Now I saw the dates again. You will be here during the easter. So, the ultimate TIP, is arrive in Portop Alegre, rent a car and go to Atlantida (a beach in Xangri-la), 1hour driving. What about Floripa then Iguacu and a bus from Iguacu to B.A. I hear there are jungles everywhere in Brazil so a jungle trip will be pretty easy. Thanks for everything!

I would recommend arriving in Rio or Floripa if you don't know Portuguese, just to break yourself in a little to the culture. Sao Paulo is fairly easy to get by as well in English, but it is one of the biggest cities in the world and very spread out (Though certain neighborhoods have lots of things to do. Itaim Bibi is very nice and a ton of people there speak English.), so logistics can be tough. Even with fluent Portuguese, it's still not easy to find your way around. Sao Paulo is mad dirty though. Rio and Floripa are much nicer on the eyes. But Sao Paulo has an unlimited amount of things to do. You could spend a year there and not even begin to scratch the surface, meanwhile new places will open up. It would take you years to really know the place well. To be honest, when I was in Sao Paulo, I was just counting down the days until I went to Rio. Even my friends who live there think it's a hell whole and they felt bad for me for having to stay there. Had I known better Portuguese at the time though I think my experience would have been a little more positive.

For 15 days in Brazil I'd stay in Rio and visit the surrounding areas, such as Ilha Grande, Angra dos Reis (maybe), and possibly Teresopolis and Petropolis. These locations will also give you your fill of jungle-like time. For a serious jungle experience go to Manaus like the other poster recommended, but it is far from Rio, and in that torrid weather you might catch a tropical disease. If you want to go farther, flights to Florianopolis are cheap, and I suppose you can stop there and in Porto Alegre on the way to Argentina--more Italian girls in that area. For only 15 days I'd prefer to stay around Rio, which is the most fun place in the country. Skip Salvador, it's a tourist trap.

Brazilian girls--there's a lot of advice on these forums. They're getting fat lately, but still many fit girls; they don't have the best faces overall, but are very sexy in manner and have good bodies and can fuck like champs. It is easy to bed girls, but it is hard to bed the very hot girls. Look for advice on how to seduce them, etc.; they will expect you to kiss them within the first 10 minutes if things are going well.

Argentinian girls--prettier on average than Brazilian girls, and some of the prettiest in the world, but *very* difficult to get in any nightlife spot, where they go together with their friends. They are difficult, neurotic, and have "histericismo," especially in the capital. That said, Buenos Aires is a very fun city, elegant, with very good nightlife, and good beef, and much cheaper than Rio for sure; so I'd recommend visiting it anyway. I can recommend some bars or clubs if you want. Don't bet on getting any Argentinian girl though.

As for general advice, be aware that the mixed race thing is going to work against you in both places, although it won't be "fatal." Also be aware that if you're planning to rely on looks, merely "decent" is not good enough for Rio especially; the men there are handsomer than the women are pretty, are muscular, tan, with tats, etc., have good game, so they have that angle down; your competition is therefore quite intense. You will still be able to get a girl easily in my experience, but again, because of the intense competition, the hottest girls are a challenge. This is especially so if they know you're a tourist only in town briefly, of which there are plenty, and if you don't speak Portuguese. I'm not saying it's impossible, but know what to expect. Go out to have a good time, meet people, kiss girls, and if you play your cards right you'll get a bang with a reasonable-looking broad or if lucky a pretty one.

Another piece of advice; since you're black-Spanish mix, you could easily pass for Brazilian. If you pretend to be Brazilian, and are good-looking you will have quite an easy time with American and European girls who go there on vacation and bang Brazilian dudes.

I am looking forward to this trip. I have about little over a month. I get my Visa back on Tuesday. I am pretty excited no doubt. I am going to check out Rio and stay away from Sao Paulo for now. I will also check out Floripa. At some point, I will collect all of these notes and create some sort of itinerary.

I met some Brazilians this weekend and they suggested that I go to Brazil with a Brazilian. I have a friend that I met in Prague, that lives there but I am not sure exactly where he lives.

As for being "decent", it's my way of not being cocky. I don't have problems getting women. I've attached a picture of myself to put a picture to the posts on here.

Argentina sounds like your game has to be on point. Very much like Sweden. I can come off as arrogant just because I don't make a whole ton of eye contact initially and I usually blow off girls ranging from 1-7. This sounds like a big No No in Brazil. I have been listening to a lot of Djavan and stepping my Portuguese game up. I don't really know how much it will help. I am going with a buddy from college so we wont be killing the ratio in the bar/clubs.

Hostels vs Apartments: Have any places you would recommend? I hear there are downsides and upsides.

Hostels Pros:
Safer environment
English Speakers
Girls from Abroad and Hostel girls make a good Plan B
Access to day trips and knowledgeable staff

Cons:
Cant bring girls back
Hostel girls that are plan B
Curfews
Just as much as an apartment

I would say that if you have any game and presumably your Spanish is fluent, and you have some spare change, choose an apartment every time.

The pros you listed about hostels having English speakers and hostel girls are actually cons in my opinion.

Most hostel girls I came across are sloppily dressed and really pale in comparison to local women in South America. You won't want to even give them the time of day.

Plus once a hot girl arrives in a hostel, i.e. once the alignment of Jupiter's moons is complete, then every guy in the hostel jumps onto them like a pack of rabid dogs!

I've not yet been to Brazil. Argentine women are some of the most gorgeous I've seen, yet are some of the most sexually reserved. They're nowhere near as sensual as some of the other South American women. I think this mainly stems from their Italian roots.

The problem with hotels in Rio is that you typically have to pay extra (About $35 at the mediocre hotel the girl I was trying to bang stayed at) to bring another person up to the room. Even for only 20 minutes. Staying at a hostel makes it mad hard to bang. And I agree with DK902 that most females staying in hostels in South America are garbage. Even the ones from south america for the most part. Sounds like you got the bank roll, hit up an apartment. Plus it will make it much easier to pull. Staying in a hostels will encourage you to hang with other gringos and do gringo things. If you want some advice you can still go to hostels with bars and drink and talk to the workers. Try to get out there and meet some fly locals, it will help your experience a ton!

Funny thing about gringo chicks in S. America as I met some fairly attractive ones from New Zealand, Finland, and Germany at a happenin couchsurfing event. As open as they were, I couldn't help but to go after the local Brazilian chicks in other parts of the bar though haha.

Yeah it really depends on your locale. If you're in a South American city with pretty females, you might be better off in an apartment if your Spanish or Portuguese is up to par (also if the price is right). I stayed at a very nice hostel in Porto Alegre one time as I was able to bring a chick back that night through pipelining. Unfortunately, I had a different type of "walk of shame" being forced to pay 25 extra USD in front of the receptionist's desk and other guests in the morning as homegirl walked out. It was a good thing I was checking out one hour later.

If you're going to a place like Serbia or Hungary where local chicks can be exponentially tougher no matter your gaming abilities, you might want to stay in a hostel and game the traveling Euro chicks who might be easier. Didn't get any in Belgrade but at least got some contacts from Helsinki natives who are quite eager once I get out there. As for Budapest, I had a nice steal of a rental apartment for 5 nights yet came away with NOTHING.

So it really depends on your town, toughness of local chicks, or even whether you might be attracted to said local chicks as well to decide your lodging accommodations in each city.

What is Floripa like? Based on the pictures that I posted do you think I have a fighters chance?

Yeah it really depends on your locale. If you're in a South American city with pretty females, you might be better off in an apartment if your Spanish or Portuguese is up to par (also if the price is right). I stayed at a very nice hostel in Porto Alegre one time as I was able to bring a chick back that night through pipelining. Unfortunately, I had a different type of "walk of shame" being forced to pay 25 extra USD in front of the receptionist's desk and other guests in the morning as homegirl walked out. It was a good thing I was checking out one hour later.

If you're going to a place like Serbia or Hungary where local chicks can be exponentially tougher no matter your gaming abilities, you might want to stay in a hostel and game the traveling Euro chicks who might be easier. Didn't get any in Belgrade but at least got some contacts from Helsinki natives who are quite eager once I get out there. As for Budapest, I had a nice steal of a rental apartment for 5 nights yet came away with NOTHING.

So it really depends on your town, toughness of local chicks, or even whether you might be attracted to said local chicks as well to decide your lodging accommodations in each city.

So I gather that Brazil is full of a bunch of girls who want to make out with you but wont allow you to get any further unless they absolutely want to and Argentinian women sound like they know they are hot and wont even give a guy the time of day. Sounds a lot like California if you ask me.

What is Floripa like? Based on the pictures that I posted do you think I have a fighters chance?

Nah, don't get discouraged, Brazilian girls aren't that hard. Maybe I made it sound too tough. Don't be worried you'll be fine out there. Floripa is alright, but I would personally hit up Rio. I wasn't that big on the girls out there after all the hype. But if you like white girls that might be your spot.

I say apartment off airbnb and compartoapto all the way. The problem with hotels in Rio is that you typically have to pay extra (About $35 at the mediocre hotel the girl I was trying to bang stayed at) to bring another person up to the room. Even for only 20 minutes. Staying at a hostel makes it mad hard to bang. And I agree with DK902 that most females staying in hostels in South America are garbage. Even the ones from south america for the most part. Sounds like you got the bank roll, hit up an apartment. Plus it will make it much easier to pull. Staying in a hostels will encourage you to hang with other gringos and do gringo things. If you want some advice you can still go to hostels with bars and drink and talk to the workers. I just watched a couple of videos about Floripa and a few beaches there. I will post the link at the bottom of the page. Its pretty crazy that there are so many gorgeous women in that part of the world.

So how would you spend 10 days in Rio? I want to hit up Rio, Iguacu and Floripa. The remaining week I plan on spending in B.A.
