Not nearly as many as in Vancouver, as you wrote. I think Montreal has fairly large Middle Eastern and Indian populations, but not that many East Asians. If you like these girls you really need to be in Vancouver. Greater Vancouver is probably around 49% broadly European and 49% broadly Asian (mostly Chinese, but also a large South Asian population and some Japanese and Koreans). Koreans hang out on the West side of Robson street. They tend to keep to themselves and party hard while spending their parents money and pretending to study English. Japanese seem to be more low key. Don't think they hang out with their own nationality as much. Chinese are very prevalent throughout Vancouver, but especially in Richmond. Quite a few people with hot money stolen from state enterprises in mainland China, though obviously the majority are working schmucks like most of us.

You could always look for a job in Vancouver were your French language skills are an asset. What kind of citizenship, permanent residency or visa do you have? For jobs with the federal government being bilingual is a very big plus. The downside is that federal government jobs are very sought after (it's the Canadian Dream to work for the State), and wouldn't be available unless you had permanent residency or Canadian citizenship. "French immersion" schools are also very popular with upper middle class Anglo parents in Vancouver. They are massively oversubscribed. So something in education could also be a possibility.

Very few Korean and Japanese according to that data, my own experience matches up with this, much fewer east asians than Toronto.

He's going to Montreal cos he is a French speaker and it would be easier for him to get a job in his native tongue.

Thanks for your answers and sorry for the late reply

Im planning to go there with a Working holiday Visa for a year, so maybe Ill stay if I can get a permanent visa or Ill just go back to my old France if Canada is too cold for me.

At first I was planning to go to Vancouver but I heard it's really expensive and raining all the time. I also read different articles about Montréal which says that it's a good place to party with a good vibe... and last thing is Im french so it might be easier for me to get a job and socialise. Problem: Im only attracted to asian girls (mainly north/east Asia: korea, Japan, China, also Taiwanese chicks).

Anyway I still have time to plan this, Im going to Japan first for one year.

@Bad Hussar: thanks for the ideas Ill do some research about this.
@Balkan Cynic: I note this adress somewhere, thanks !

You will get higher DHV being a Frenchman in Vancouver. Also you will be making dog money regardless if its MTL or Vancouver as Visa workers are regulated to service jobs, IT, health, and coffee shops. Unless you have a good hookup with a firm in MTL you'll be getting nickles for pay regardless.

Canada in general does not have a crazy large Korean and Japanese population. It's always been Chinese and Filipino peoples whom you will run into the most. Any City in Canada has a sizable Asian population that you notice, while Vancouver (and Richmond) and Toronto (and Markham) have sizable amounts if course.

If you dig Asians and your getting a Visa then go to Vancouver. Your not coming here to make cash so kill the dreams if striking it rich. Asians in Vancouver are on another level of hotness so if that's your thing then GO FOR IT and don't sell your self short.

In Vancouver it rains in the winter but it's warm and closer to a climate you would have in winter in France.

Montreal can be cold as balls in Winter and it literally gets the must snow in Canada every year. Plus Quevec French people will piss you of with their ratchet Québécois French and Québécois ghetto life lol. They are far from the refined people of your Republic.

In MTL you will be comfy and yes you can easily build a social circle but you will have no value. You will be a broke-ish French man living in French Canada. Contrast that to the sane lifestyle, harder prospects for social circles but the ease of being the centre of attention evreywhere you go.

Always try to go where you stand out. Your English must be decent since your typing better then me on here lol so if you can hit Vancouver.

In winter rain in Vancouver means snow on the North Shore mountains and in Whistler. So if you are into winter sports it's great. Rain getting you down? Just go to Whistler for a weekend (there's a cheapish bus from downtown Vancouver), or zip to Cypress or Grouse for night skiing after work (buses also available). It seems fashionable to hate Whistler here, and it's true that it doesn't have the kind of atmosphere you'd get in the Alps, but it's a reasonable place for a young person to hang out or work in.

Just stating the bleeding obvious here, but what the hell:
Unless you are Asian yourself, and maybe even then, don't mention to Asian girls, or any other girls, that you specifically like Asian girls. Despite the fact that quite a few Asian girls have "White Guy Fetish", even they are not going to be attracted to a guy who they think has "Yellow Fever". Don't bother pointing out the hypocrisy to them. It won't get you anywhere. But to be honest race relations in Vancouver are pretty good. Also, lots successful and well adjusted Asian guys who are very much "in the game", so don't go overboard thinking you will have a big advantage if you are a White guy.

What type of asians are you into? FOB or White cultured?

Either Vancouver would be the best choice for you, you always hear stuff like it's too expensive, but rental prices here aren't so bad, just overall home prices are so sky high that if you bought a home a good chunk of your income will go towards paying the house.
Renting is fairly cheap, you could rent a semighetto(Canadian Ghetto, not at all similar to those Paris suburbs projects) ass apartment in Metrotown by BC's biggest mall and next to The Crystal Mall, a big asian FOB oriented mall. Plus you would be next to the skytrain 15-20 mins from downtown, and there is a bus that goes to Richmond and South Van where most of the Asians are. Food is cheap here too, my food expenses never pass 400$/month, and that is when I go out half the time. And if you get depressed in the winter because of the rain just pop some vitamin D pills.

Montreal doesn't have many Asians, but I did meet a cool Vietnamese chick when I was there. There's still plenty more asian selections in Vancouver though.

And if you ever need to speak French and game with someone here, hit me up.

@Emancipator: I dont know what FOB means but I guess it's foreign so yes, Im more into foreign asian since I think it's more fun to have a foreign girlfriend for too many reasons (learning new language, they know how to cook, the cultural exchange,etc...).
Anyway Im going to travel in Asia for one year so Ill probably be in Canada mid-2014. Im just in the planning phase. Ill keep in touch if Im going to Vancouver.
@Bad Hussar: yes that's good advices to remember !

Hey! If you'd like to meet Asian women, Montreal is definitely NOT the place for that. They mostly stick in group in MTL, and a lot of them are really into LTR. You might be able to pull 1 or 2 here and there, but you wont have many prospect. You might try day gaming around Mcgill university, but then you'll get the anglish speaking asian. Dont go there for these women, you'll be disapointed big time!!
