British Women to Men: Stop Acting Like Gentlemen

Quote:Quote:

'Traditional acts of chivalry are being frowned upon because "standards have slipped" and a noble gesture is seen as suspicious, according to researchers.'

"The survey carried out by the online service, which helps men to dress well and offers free tips on etiquette, revealed just how much women rejected chivalrous behaviour.
The results said a huge 82 per cent of women preferred to pay for their dinner on a first date and 52 per cent claimed they would happily pay for entire bill.
Men who think women are lumbering heavy shopping bags around should think twice because 89 per cent would not accept an offer to help.
Socked.co.uk, which helps gentlemen dress well and offers free tips in etiquette, believe that good manners cost nothing, and it is up to the gentleman to prove that courtesy is not dead in this second decade of the twenty-first century."

And those same women will complain that men don't act like men anymore. Women have NO idea what they want. They think they do until they get it, then they complain about whatever it is they just got. Do your own thing fellas.

The grass is always greener, isn't it?

Being with a nice guy: "I want excitement, I want a bad boy, I want someone who knows what they're doing".

Being with an asshole and getting their heartbroken: "I just want someone to treat me right and be there for me and have someone to talk to when I'm upset and have cuddles with".

Batshit, the lot of them.

I've experienced a lot of this.

The only problem is that after she's paid for the meal/been treated like an equal/escaped to a world of sexual fantasy, she then proceeds to spend the rest of the week complaining about the fact that she had to do so.

What's that young guy doing with that old ass lady anyways? Don't get me wrong, I'd hit it twice (doesn't say much), but she looks like an old lady with colored grays and some photoshop.

You're supposed to make those old biddies into sugar mamas, not pick up the tab. [Image: biggrin.gif]

By the way, it's funny how the people who did the research tried to twist it around and blame men for women not liking these things anymore and saying we should step up to the plate and do it anyways. [Image: huh.gif][Image: huh.gif][Image: huh.gif]

What they SAY they would happily do ( pay) and what they actually DO or think if exposed to the situation are often exact opposites. Never trust a woman's word, especially in surveys.

This is the truth. They would unhappily pay and then unless the guy was an alpha he wouldn't get laid. Basically you have to have airtight game if you expect women to pick up your checks and even then, they hate it if they are seen as picking up the checks.

I had an older girl I was seeing who would slip me money under the table so she could pay but not be seen paying.

In other "surveys," women have admitted that offering to either chip in or pick up the check is a test. If he accepts, that's the last time she'll go out with him.

Funny enough, these British chicks would probably drop their pants off if they were approached by nice confident game from an American accent. It's too bad I don't find them attractive to begin with.

Yeah, those days are over.

Chivalry is unnecessary and even viewed as a sign of weakness or lack of social awareness, generally speaking.

Acts like pulling out chairs, standing when a woman enters the room, laying your coat on a puddle, etc. are acts of "chivalry" that are ridiculous in my book. I don't see holding open a door an act of chivalry so much as a act of courtesy, in that I'd hold the door for a dude if his hands were full. Paying for a meal is an act of generosity, and women aren't exempt from being generous or courteous. If women want to see male behavior return to that of another era, their own behavior will have to follow suit.

the art of chivalry has been bastardised anyway, opennig a door or pulling out a chair is not chivalrous

saving your comrade's life when under fire or in a fight when you could have walked away is chivalry

British girls LOVED it when I threw on the S. Side swag. They complained about local dudes not doing it. I'm talking about simple shit like opening a door, taking her coat, pulling out a chair, asking what she wanted and ordering her drink, ect. I don't mind at all doing this for a girl if she's acting feminine and shows appreciation. This also got me a lot of attention from other patrons in bars and restaurants.

SO, I would have to show contempt for the study. As you guys say in that part of the world, "BOLLOCKS!" Or "POPPYCOCK!" for anyone that is offended by the former.

And it has nothing to do with chivalry. It's called being a gentleman.

I have found that 'Nice Guys' and White Knights get fucked over 10x worse in the UK than in the States. The girls love an Alpha here!

Its becoming very obvious that certain traits are only looked down upon when 'committed' by a man of the same nationality as the women complaining.

You guys are 100% correct in saying that if an American guy did these things, girls would swoon. In the same way as my friend (English) who is adored by girls in Toronto, supposedly one of the worst cities for North American guys, and has banged and LTR'd Canadian girls.

Its a fucking minefield out there, girls say one thing but do the next, and are swayed by a fucking accent. A-fucking-accent.

Economics. You can pack more people in and once in, the awkwardness of standing makes you buy more to drink.
