Tips for a week in Manila

Looking to find the most up to date information on things to do in Manila for an upcoming trip in three weeks with another buddy. I've already searched through the forum with "Manila" and "Philippines" as search terms, but it seems like the data sheets are kinda dated... so any current information on tips, tactics and the best places to find talent would be greatly appreciated.

I've traveled pretty extensively through Asia and SE Asia, but this is my first time in the Philippines. I set up a Filipinocupid account up recently and it's already blowing up, but the girls seem... for the lack of a better word: peasant-y. I don't have anything against dark skin, it's just the peasant features I don't like so much: receding chin, lazy eyes, horsey features, etc... Internet game, day game, night game, I'm open to all advice.

Length of Stay: 5 days
Hotel: Mandarin Oriental in Makati
Background: East Asian, early 30's, 5'10"/athletic

Most people will tell you to stay out of Manila. If you're there however, Makati is probably where you want to be. Most of the girls on FC are going to be low class/poor, that's just how it is. You will get lots of hits from internet game. You can try doing day game in malls, I believe there is a nice big one in Manila (Mall of South Asia?). Get a local sim when you land. Naughty Nomad wrote down his number on a piece of paper and just gave it out to girls he saw, and this apparently works. I suspect what's true in one city will be more or less true in another, so check the other threads. If you and your buddy even have minimal game you will get laid to your heart's content.

Thanks for responding, Menace. Unfortunately, we are doing a little bit of business in Manila, so won't be able to go to Davao or Borocay and are stuck in Manila. Will keep Naughty Nomad's trick in mind, although I have personal biz cards for that as well.

I've read several other data sheets that talk about the malls in Makati, so I'll be sure to hit that up. Was looking for specific recommendations on which clubs/bars are popping nowadays, and if things haven't changed in a year, it looks like the Green Belt/Fort Benifacio are the places with the best upper crust talent.

Agreed that most of the girls online are going to be poor as fuck, but was hoping that I'd be able to weed out a couple of diamonds in the rough.

As an aside: One of my native Korean friends went to university in Manila and looking at her pictures on FB, she rolled with some of the hottest Persian chicks I have ever seen... and I'm in Little Tehran here in West LA! For the natives, is this an isolated thing or are there lots of Iranians in Manila?

Oh I see. Well, I can't help you with places, b/c I only stayed there one night in a shitty hotel (and still got laid so ya know). BTW in my experience high on-line interest did not directly translate to large amounts of meet ups for whatever reason (maybe they're too busy to surviving).

Good luck on your trip and please do post a trip report when you come back. Maybe you can pull some K-girls while you're there; Koreans are all over the place.

I was in Manila last month for a couple of days, but in Malate, not Makati. Getting anywhere fast is impossible due to the nightmare traffic, so if arranging dates with girls from FC make sure they live pretty close or you could be spending a lot of time waiting around for them to turn up. Pinays are notoriously bad time-keepers and the flake rate is high, too.

Lots of semi-pros around and even with the 'good' girls you will generally be expected to pay for everything they consume. Middle and upper class Pinays are not generally interested in foreigners - they don't need your money and because the Phils is a prime p4p destination, to be seen with a foreigner marks them out as a pro in the eyes of what is still a very conservative society. The poor girls don't care - they just want to be treated well.

Don't let the taxi drivers fuck you around. Insist they use the meter. If they won't put it on tell them you're getting out immediately - that generally works.

Used to work in Korea and am flying into Manila directly from Seoul, but then again, one can never have too many Korean girls. [Image: smile.gif]

Thanks for chiming in, Acute Angle. I'm hoping that it'll be easier to get with the middle class girls because I'm not a white devil. [Image: smile.gif] I'll also be trying to parlay the huge Korean wave of culture and music that's been hitting SE Asia recently.

I have no idea about the geography in Manila, I guess I should start using google maps. Appreciate the tips on traffic.

You're pretty much right by the malls in Makati I believe, like right in the mix. Greenbelt is great with lots of bars/restaurants. The only taxis you should be going in are between Makati and Fort Bonifacio probably, there are other upscale areas like Alabang and EAstwood city but they are quite a bit further away...I usually negotiate the rate before I get in the cab. There are some bars in Quezon city too but I don't have much experience heading out there.

Mall of Asia was kind of out of the way for me at least. And when I was there, it wasn't crowded if you intend to daygame.

Those upper crust places are pretty bad with snobby girls and social circles, at least whenever I've been there. Also, a lot of the clubs want you to get a table or reserved seating area (don't have to buy a bottle, a waitress just leads you to an area and you order drinks from them).

Good tips, glad that you confirmed Green Belt and the Fort.

Have made contact with two surprisingly cute locals off of DIA and FC. Am hoping to make it an even 5, one for each day considering that Filipinas are as you say, very flaky.

The Spa is dope if you want a dope legit massage. I'm sure you can get that in Korea, but they have one at the fort. http://www.thespa.com.ph/

also, if you can find a "Fish Spa" those are pretty funny. you sit in a pool and put your feet in and little fish eat your feet..pretty crazy. http://www.manilaoceanpark.com/details.php?id=46

I wrote a data sheet a few months back on Seoul: http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-16810.html

Incheon is close enough that you can take the train into Seoul, but it also has pretty good spots. By your self description, you should definitely try hanging out in Itaewon or Hongdae where a lot of girls are into the Aryan god look. I'm going to be there in two weeks, looks like I'm going to just miss you.

Dang, it would have been nice to meet up, I should be there the end of Feb. I responded with some questions on your data sheet so I dont take up more time on this post. I have tenative plans to hit the Philippines during winter in SK, I know there are some smaller isalnds that are more or less a get away for some S Koreans, like a much cheaper Hawaii. I would be interested to hear your thoughts about the islands once you return.

So...

Got some great intel from a Korean girl I know that went to university in Manila. She basically said to stick to the Fort Bonifacio/Greenbelt area and if I was feeling dicey, head over to Mabini for the bars catering towards the Koreans. She also mentioned that Green hills has a lot of tourists coming through, particularly Asian females.

Wondering if there are any locals or travelers passing through that would be interested in meeting up?
