"One Billion Rising Against Violence"

http://www.onebillionrising.org/page/eve...rch_simple

I couldn't find the thread about this. I also couldn't find the official scientific study/survey or police statistics confirming that "one of every three women on the planet – will be raped or beaten in her lifetime".

This event is camouflaged in my country as dance event (slavic girls really love to dance) and it scares me how many people will attend it, but is obviously an anti-male brainwashing campaign with inflated numbers. Is there a way of fighting against this other than ignoring?

Placing posters with real statistics for both genders and some fact-trolling of feminism at the place of event the night before comes to my mind (no security cameras, but I am pretty sure it is legal to post things like that anyway).

Every year the percentage of women raped jumps by a shocking amount. How many more years until 1 out of 2 are raped, where "raped" can now mean an unwanted sexual touch

If you look to the top left of the linked page, you'll see that one way they claim can help this "epidemic" is to "Produce the Vagina Monologues."

This is what it all comes down to. Eve Ensler, who wrote that play, is trying to make money with her idiotic play, claiming it's going to help women. Will staging "West Side Story" help curb violence against Hispanics?

Addendum: I just went deeper into that page and this is a masked advertisement for Eve Ensler. One of the pages says the following:

"READ Eve Ensler's Newest Monologue "Rising": Eve has just written a new piece which she composed during her recent travels in India, amidst the incredible uprising there. We envision this monologue as a beautiful addition to your event to motivate the participants to dance.
DOWNLOAD "Rising" by Eve Ensler >"

It's a shame that to make a name for herself as a playwright Ensler had to go around making up statistics. She's been doing this for years, spouting off fake facts and figures to newspapers, all of whom reprint her drivel without bothering to double check the logistics of the numbers.

If she's now claiming one out of three women are raped, she's unwittingly normalizing rape, not helping to prevent it. People are going to start to think rape is the sex 1/3 of men default to, not the aberration it really is.

oh my fucking god, what an absolute ridiculous assumption. I might start a website three billion rising, over three billion men will be falsely accused of being rapists. That's nearly every single man on the planet.

Already happened. Remember CBS attention whore reporter Laura Logan? "I felt like they were raping me with their hands." Ironic because not once did she mention someone accidentally shoving a thumb in her pussy.

Can you imagine what kind of anarchy the world would have to be in order for 1 in 3 women to have been raped? MaD MaX in the thunderdome kind of world.

This is what the term "sexual assault" is all about.

What does that even mean? It's such a bullshit, trumped up phrase. You would think that "sexual assault" would imply something like actually attempting to rape a girl, or ripping her clothes off. You know, physically assaulting her in a sexual manner.

But when you read about cases where the term "sexual assault" is applied, it's often for things like a random guy groping a woman's ass or breast in a crowd. Or sometimes not even that much. (And I'm obviously not advocating groping women in crowds here - just saying it's not remotely comparable to rape or a true "sexual assault" if the term is to have any real meaning)

I mean look at this shit:

Quote:Quote:

The National Center for Victims of Crime states:
“ Sexual assault takes many forms including attacks such as rape or attempted rape, as well as any unwanted sexual contact or threats. Usually a sexual assault occurs when someone touches any part of another person's body in a sexual way, even through clothes, without that person's consent.

So by the feminist definition of the term, you could sexually assault a girl by touching her on the arm or the shoulder.

This is why feminists are their own worst enemy. They've jumped the shark. You can't take them seriously when you look into what they're saying. More and more people are starting to realize this, and are waking up to the fact that categorizing practically all physical contact under the sexual assault/rape umbrella is just a way for feminists to push their agenda through claiming eternal victimhood status.

There's a reason that we use the words we do. Groping is a word because it describes a certain behavior. Assault is another word. You can't just start equating groping with assault and claiming they are the same thing. My toaster isn't going to sweep my floor just because I start calling it a broom.

Women today are the safest they have been in all of human history. When you look back approximately 80 years ago women were far more vulnerable to genuine rape, just look at the nanking massacre NOW that was what i would call a rape culture (technically not a culture more an event) tens of thousands of chinese women and girls raped and butchered by the Japs. Of course something like this would never happen today, yet women clam we live in a "rape culture" well maybe we do if you classify rape as touching any part of another persons body in a sexual way.

Girls should be an ornament to the eye, not an ache in the ear.

Guys, I have a confession to make. My first time ice-skating I raped 4 girls, 2 at the same time. I know I should have been a man and hit the ice but I decided to regain my balance by grabbing their arms. I said sorry, but I know that will never be enough. They all probably still wake up in the middle of the night and hear my blades clacking together.

Even if it was true that 1 in 3 women would be beaten or raped in their life it is still a deceiving statistic, a women in America faces a very different situation to a woman in Africa, just because loads of women get get raped in Africa, doesn't mean that men in the west should feel some sort of moral burden and have to suffer through garbage campaigns such as the one aforementioned.

I know what you mean. In a similar vein, I saw an elderly man sexually harass a woman when he grabbed her arm whilst falling to the floor having a heart attack.

I demanded the police arrest him for sexual assault. Never mind that he died, he still needs to be arrested! Because I am but one of the ONE BILLION RISING!!!

Haha. In all seriousness though, I heard a few rape stories when I was 17-18 from younger girls. They love these modifications to what constitutes rape. They get to talk about their traumatic experience and regain some of their purity at the same time. They'll either disclose with no shame that they hooked up with a drunk guy and because they didn't remember every detail in the morning, they were clearly violated. Or they start changing details when you question them/ don't buy it.
