What's the game plan for Cancun?

hate to shatter your dreams guys but if you think you gona see hotties in Merida you are up for a bad time.
Its a great place culture wise but all the girls are short, no curves and brownish (same as rest of Yucatan and QRoo).

At l least in Playa you have all those IG models types + Argentinian and other SA hotties.
Still a great place to visit though.

I highly reccomend to go party in Tulum during the weekend for high quality pussy. Papaya playa project full moon party is dope.

I’ve been to Merida before and agree that it isn’t a place with an abundance of hot women walking around but there is a fair amount in the 6 range, which is what I usually go for anyway. I hooked up with a girl last night who I met here three years ago, so at least I’m getting laid here. The shitty weather has followed me to Merida, I just got soaked walking to a coffee shop.

I’ll likely head back to Playa or Tulum for the weekend although everything I read about Tulum makes me not want to go. It seems like a very international crowd and full of Eat, Pray and Love vegan hippy weirdos. I may end up over in Cozumel, I tend to get along better with scuba divers.

I spent the summer of 2015 in Tulum and can agree that when I think Scotian.....I don't think Tulum in the same sentence. All the Tinder matches I get from Tulum are yoga/vegan/eat/pray/love types.

I personally like a 6/7 mestizo girl that is displaying some traditional values....I'm older so that is my target market. Not much for me in Playa or Tulum. Mexico City, Merida, Puebla, Aguascalientes, those are the places that I personally find traction.

I do have an 18 year old in Playa that has the hots for me...but she is a budding slut, chubby, and I'm losing interest.

BTW, I'm going to check this hotel in Playa out for a few days, sometime in the next month:

It has these themed rooms, one being a 'Disco' room where the room is like an entire disco. They also have sex themed rooms. Check out the website. Also, I hear that it is a destination with a good ratio of chicks. It is also close to the main party strip so makes for good logistics.

Cool, I'll be staying nearby (though not in this hotel). If they have a bar/lounge open to non-guests, i'll definitely check it out.

Its true you get a lot of hippies types in Tulum, but at parties at night quality its very high (and one of the best F/M ratio I have seen anywhere). Check out PPP or Casa Jaguar its full of fly girls dressed nice and up to get banged.

Also Playa Paraiso for chilling during the day its amazing but a lot of couples on honeymoon there.

I recommend getting a bus to Merida and staying there for a while. I just spent a month there and left yesterday. I may make a data sheet here soon if someone else hasn't already.

It's a college town with loads of young Mexican university students and it is one of the few places I actually recommend using Tinder.

I got my Mexican flag there from some girl I picked up in the town square one evening who turned out to be a freak who tried to convince me to also pick up another girl from a bar we went to so that we could have a threesome. I didn't have time for that as it was already late and I have actually never really been that much into the threesome thing so I just took her to my place and blew through the pack of condoms I had in my drawer.

The German guy who lived on the other side of the wall that separated my room and his in our shared house was also constantly bringing different girls in and fucking them. Most of them made a lot of noise which was kind of annoying when I was trying to sleep or get some kind of work done.

I think Merida is also cheaper than Cancun. I recommend visiting Uxmal (bus from Merida) as well. That place is tight.

I'd say La Gran Plaza but, to be honest, that is just what I heard from people who lived there and I never went to any malls myself (if I needed to buy something, I went to Wal-Mart and I ate at local taquerias).

Personally, I prefer the town square around Catedral de Mérida as it is pretty lively and several of the local universities have their campuses there. Mérida is also a very historical town that is well preserved and most of the cool stuff is around the town square with the malls being far away from most other things of interest. The town square area is also where the bars, clubs, restaurants, and so on are and it is where the college students go to enjoy themselves in the evening and nighttime as well. You can surely find girls at the mall too though.

When I say "town square area," I mean the historical part of town that radiates out in all directions from its epicenter at the Catedral de Mérida. When you are finding a place to stay in town, try to get as close to the epicenter as possible for logistics.

What's the game plan for Cancun?

^I’m staying two blocks from there, it’s really nice and pretty busy throughout the day and early evening. I’m going to walk around paseo de Montejo tomorrow and have lunch there, Merida is really nice in the tourist areas with the colonial architecture and clean streets, the people are really chill too, I haven’t seen any beggars or sketchy street people, which is nice. It’s a bit onnthe boring side though, I could see it as being a great place for retirees.

I thought the same thing while I was there. How long are you staying in Mérida and how long have you been there already?

I'm writing up a datasheet now that I should be able to post pretty soon. If you are still there in Mérida, hopefully it can help you out some.

I arrived last night, met up with a local girl I know from a previous trip and will be meeting her again tonight. I’ll stay until Saturday or Sunday before making my way back to the Cancun area to go scuba diving, hopefully the weather improves as it’s been raining off and on since I got here last Sunday. Looking forward to your data sheet.

When I was there good clubs to party were cerouno, Martina beach club and the roof place (thats on the 10 I think right in front of the rental car place). Should be fairly easy to pull girls back home from any of these places. Quality in Tulum was higher though.

I would avoid like the plague Vaquita, Bongo Bongo and all those places on the 5 where the tourists go.

Thank you for sharing info about the parties in Tulum.

Where would you recommend staying in Tulum if the purpose was to go to all those night parties, especially around New Years ?

Would it hurt the chances of pulling from clubs if I stayed in Tulum city centre as opposed to a hotel at the beach? All those clubs seem to be around the beach where it seems much harder to find a hotel and way more expensive.

Cheers for data on having a car and car rentals in the area which you shared in Merida thread. I wanted to ask how strict the traffic enforcement there.

Is it possible to drive around, especially between towns if you had a drink the same night ?

Would they stop you and drag you to laboratory to test your blood and your pee to see if you’ve been partying and taking anything the past week? That happens in some places these days and I don’t know Mexico well, so I just assume that they would want to extract as much money as they can from a white tourist.

As you realised the city is really split in two parts. Town center which is around the main strip (the street that goes from Cancun to chetumal) and the beach area. Might seem close to get between the two areas but its probably 45mins-1 hour walking so not an option late at night. Can be done with a bike during the day which I highly recommend as is good exercise and you can check different beaches to see which one you like the most.

If possible I would just stay around the beach area and take a cab (or bicycle) back to the city center if needed.
If you decide to stay in the center you will have to do the other way around obviously, cab its like $7 from the center to PPP if I remember correctly.
You also have a few bars in the city center main strip, one is called Batley which is really popular. Dont remember talent was anything special though but might be good for a pre-party drink.

If you need a good cheap hotel to stay I can recommend you one on PM, its actually a friend of mine not sure if they are full for NYE though as its high season.

You really should not even have one drink if you are going to drive. The concept of 'legal limit' does not apply here. If you have been drinking at all and they pull you over then you are going to jail. Also, they occasionally have license roadblocks but not that often. Technically you are supposed to have a license for a motorcycle here and no one does so they were starting to enforce that.

There are a shit-ton of cops and Marines and national police all over the place as a part of the nationwide security crackdown since the election of AMLO.

So, if you are going to drink the use Taxis. But if you are going to spend much time in the Yucatan, having a car just changes the entire game. My friend took a girl he met on a long trip in his truck, down to Belize and back and he really sealed the deal and now is in a LTR with her.

BTW, I stayed in this hotel. It was actually quite dead and had zero scene at the pool during the day and then had a fucking gay EDM party on the rooftop on one night. I went up there and walked around and was wondering......where are the fucking girls, then realized it was a gay party and quickly left.

However, the rooms are quite insane and would be an awesome place to pull a girl to so I'm probably going to stay there again.

I found a great upscale restaurant/bar in Playa to post up at and hang while the mariachi and norteño bands come in and out and all the evening and play for the customers. You could almost pull off some suit game at this place which surprised me as I had not found any places like this in Playa before. I ended up number closing on a girl there and I'm supposed to meet up with her when I get back from diving in Cozumel.

The bar is right off avenida quinta (the main drag) but is quite hard to find and is really only patronized by upscale mexicans that know about it. All the people I met there lived in Playa or were with someone that lived in Playa.

The place is called La No. 20 Cantina: https://goo.gl/maps/GsdbGw3ioWR2

Just say south of the Federal and on the west side of the Colosio and is very safe. Best place to stay for me is Playacar but its expensive.
Walked at night all the time in the town never had any issue, however taxis are very cheap.

Don't go to the colonias (same as colombian barrios) unless you really have any business there. Q roo has been a very safe place historically however a few years ago two different cartels entered the region and there has been a wave of violence. Usually shit happens away from the tourist area but no guarantee on that (see the BPM incident last year).

For nightlife I recommended a number of places a few posts earlier.
