Golden Globes: The Wives of Stars...

I just caught part of the Golden Globes Red Carpet and couldn't believe my eyes. Stars like Ewan McGregor, John Hamm, Hugh Jackman, Daniel Day Lewis all had (at best) average looking wives---who looked ridiculous in the gowns. Kevin Costner had pretty good younger eyecandy with him. Clooney had Stacy Keebler--she looked good.

Whats the point of being famous if your women looks like garbage.

I tried to find some pics but didn't.

Many of these guys married those chicks before major fame hit, so they've stuck with them. Hamm's girl is also an actor, Jennifer Westfeldt (she starred in that flick "Kissing Jessica Stein" many years ago). I don't believe they're married. It really isn't uncommon for actors to have average looking wives I've found. Athletes tend to have hot wives, but not actors for some reason.

I'm assuming you mean sports that people watch on television or athletes that have a lot of exposure. These athletes have been getting good pussy since middle/high school. They feel entitled to hot pussy as teenagers and if they are good enough to play college ball, they get hotter pussy. If they go to the pros, forget about it. They demonstrate the traits of masculinity that are most celebrated in our culture. Physical strength, focus, leadership qualities, honor among their tribe (team), getting the job done. They have survived physically grueling training camps that 99 percent of the world has not. That puts you into a different mind state.

Actors start getting female attention once they have achieved more than just a modicum of fame. And if they didn't grow up with that attention, it takes some time to adjust to, or they think it's because of the fame, and they want to stick with the girls they were with before because they feel they would be loyal to them even without the fame and money.

I knew very few guys in the school play that were getting pussy (if at all). The football players, wrestlers, basketball players, and lacrosse players, basically any sport that got a crowd and had cheerleaders all got play or had girlfriends. A lot of my personality was shaped by sports and the boys I was surrounded with during my formative years and also the men who coached/mentored me during those years as well. Once you swallow the red pill, approaching a chick is nothing compared to Wrestling countdowns at the end of a tough practice.

Nothing destroys your ego like getting your ass whooped/pinned/throwing an interception/missing a tackle in front of your whole school/peer group.

Nothing builds self-confidence like getting back up, busting your ass, and winning after the adversity.

Sorry I got a bit off topic here.

Actually, this is very much ON topic. I always find actors' stories about how they came to the profession to be very interesting. You also find any number of actors tell you that they're actually shy, or have stage fright. Some come to the profession because they took an acting class as an exercise to overcome shyness, and found they liked it. Others may have done it as an exercise to get better at public speaking, or as some form of therapy. There are other guys that got into it to meet chicks, because the cute ones were in drama classes. Good athletes definitely develop a certain confidence and strength that women are attracted to. Athletes carry themselves differently. That isn't necessarily true with actors.

What if an actor is playing the role of an athlete?

Just playing.

Actually, if you watch closely, many actors look like dorks when they run.

Also, if you watch them box in movies, they rarely pull it off.

There are some exceptions to this rule though.

HA HA! They try to find actors that actually played the sport at some time or another. Jamie Foxx was able to pull off his role in "Any Given Sunday" because he played high school football in Texas, which means he could actually play a little. I was watching "Goon" the other night, a comedy about hockey with Sean William Scott. He definitely couldn't play, but his character was just a goon, so for the role he just needed to be convincing as a fighter (they grab a handful of jersey and just start throwing with their free hand - not very technical...HA HA!). They had a montage of scenes of the coach teaching him how to skate to take care of the fact that he couldn't really skate. Since the film was made in Canada, every other role was pretty much filled by guys that actually COULD play the game. You're right though - one of my great pleasures is watching Steven Seagal run in his films. It's hilarious!

I was thinking this too while browsing the pics this morning on yahoo. I was more interested in how the young actress poon looked, but I noticed it. George Clooney is the smartest man who ever walked the earth. Makes millions in hollywood, fucks every it girl there ever was and god knows how much extra fly tail on the side, shifts from acting to producing/directing seamlessly, just a baller. His current girl is cute, although not really my style.

I saw this 60 mins episode featuring him and he talked about how his mom walked out on the family when he was a little boy and it fucked him up really badly. Could explain it more than being a closet homo. Although with all the musicals he probably is a closet homo.
