Vladivostok! That city has a special place in my heart for so many reasons. All I'll say is, that at some point in the next few years, I'll spend a whole year, summer to summer, in Vladivostok. The bridge they just built is gorgeous, the city is a real gem. Add this one to the list too : Yuzhno Sahalinsk.

Does the fact it's so far from Moscow not make it an expensive city? I heard Yakutsk,Magadan,P-Kamchatsky,Y-Sakhalinsk etc. are expensive because things need to be sent from European Russia.

I see this happening with a lot of countries so beware of making this mistake in Russia. If you are black in Vladivostok, you will get attention - that city sees few non Asian tourists. In Moscow or St. Pete, you'll get treated like crap. Don't mistake of being treated as a "rock star" with meaning that the country itself is tolerant. Once you are no longer a prized commodity, watch the locals very quickly turn against the foreigners who are ruining their country. Vladivostok likely has a few years left, but given that they recently hosted the APEC summit there may be more attention here down the line.

Even so, the regional cities are still VERY hit and miss. 95+% of the girls will have zero sexual interest in you because of general xenophobia and reputation all concerns, the other 5% is where you want to focus your energy, and that's where a good social circle comes in - it helps weed out the girls who are xenophobia or reputation minded. Not to mention lack of English.

After more than a year in Moscow, I still assert that this place is a waste of time for non whites compared to the US. If you are in a position in which you can build up a serious social circle, perhaps you will get results. the cost per notch will be much higher then in the US, though the quality may be marginally better. I say marginal because the most attractive women will have options with the local men or white foreigners.

I have about 20,000 USD saved up, and was really interested to moving to Poltava, Ukraine due to the low cost of living and beuatiful women. My girlfriend Alina was Ukranian in college at the UF. Best girlfriend I ever had. However, Im black (from Miami, Fl), and this thread is really making me reconsider. Is Ukraine still a waste of time for African Americans?

Poltava also is a third tier city in Ukraine. You may be in for a culture shock moving there from Miami.

You should travel around Ukraine and find the best city that fits you.

Moving to a city/country blindly is a bad idea and with only 20,000 USD.

What do you plan on doing for money while in Ukraine?

Appreciate the response Calwinston Your datasheets were extremely helpful - thanks. Uzhghorod is definitely a spot Im interested. Chisinau, Moldova is also getting serious consideration also. I wanted to take about 6 months off, while learning a new language in a new city, while possibly getting a TEFL certificate to teach English I have a bachleors in Marketing. Somewhere where the cost of living isnt too high, but the girls are still desireable. My game is above average, and I dont have much trouble here in the US, but the girls are so unattractive to me. Ive been doing my research, and the cost of living shouldnt be more than 1,000 a month. Super excited - Im leaving in March/April.

Hm...so your game is above average and you don't have trouble with girls in US yet you find them unattractive? While I dislike American girls as well you have to understand that just about every 1st tier US city (NYC, Philly, Chicago immediately come to mind) have huge expat communities from just about every Eastern European country. Why don't you hit on a few of these foreign girls here in USA and learn their language a bit before making a commitment to going overseas with only 20k and teaching English. There's been many threads on this topic and the concensus seems to be that English teachers are not viewed very favorably by EE women.
