This stuff works. Powerfully. Response rate is way up.

When a girl likes what she sees her hamster will spin enough to justify anything.

This is actually an interesting social experiment.

Girls really are becoming more like Men ie more visual.

And as a side note, guys are becoming more like girls, ie tight jeans, glittery shirts, hating smoking, hating Custom Suits etc.

It's a well-known fact that a profile picture is the most critical piece of data for both sexes. And I don't think it's that women are becoming more visual, it's just that in the environment of online dating the profile picture is her best bet at evaluating a male's value in terms of information given, reliability and time saved (seeing that there's hundreds of profiles you have to go through). Which one is obviously more convincing and accessible, writing on your profile that you have an active lifestyle and like to travel, or having "an action photo" of yourself at a tropical resort.

Painter, don't tell them it's a picture from a couple years ago. Just let them show up and deal with it. I guarantee it won't matter once you get them to meet you. I've banged more than a few girls that were less attractive than their photos after the investment and a few drinks you'll smash. Red flags go off when you say "this isn't an accurate picture".

Ha. Great info. Once a girl buys into your frame she's locked in for the ride.

Reminds me of this commercial:

I tried this on POF with a somewhat obscured shot of a handsome guy who looks 60% like me, and interest has definitely increased. Unfortunately a lot of the women in my location don't have pics on their profiles - it's a small community - and the deal for their sending pics to me is that I send more to them. Sometimes my real pics go down ok, but I had one today who was fine with the 18 year age gap when she thought I look like a 'male model', but decided we have an age gap issue when she saw the real me (not bad looking, but not a male model). I guess there's a better way to play that situation, but I can't think of one. No way am I going to meet a girl without seeing some photos!
