Just came accross this and I couldn't believe my eyes. This is simply beyond anything I've seen anywhere. It's the madness of the feminazi on steroids. Literally. Our Indian brothers are truly and royally fucked or rather gang banged! I could only muster the nerves to read only a couple of stories on the below link. I'd be very interested to hear the thoughts of our Indian brothers in here about this. If you thought that it was bad in the US/Canada in terms of the laws favoring the females, this is beyond anything imaginable

This whole thing poses an even bigger question: who the hell comes up with these fucked up laws that destroys literally families and in the short term, the entire society? In an ideal world, governments and laws are supposed to serve and arbitrate in a fair manner its citizens, yet it seems that since the 80's, the mode is to come up with any idea/law to fuck up the hard working men and favor the women while transferring not only all the wealth but also, the power and influence from the historical, tradition and millenar old tradition of a men dominated society to a new, crazy, void of any logics, women dominated society. It took men over 100,000 years to build societies as we see them now and yet 30 years for the feminists to destroy 100,000 years of successful societal evolution. Why can't the men, whether they be in power or the average hard working men of the world, slam their fists on the table and say enough of this charade. Let's get back to the tried, tested and successful ways. If nothing is done, it's the entire human civilization that is on the verge of extincton. Sorry for the rant, but enough is enough! Brothers, men of the world, something must be done and asap or we'd all be heading down the path of no return called extinction. Time to wake up and stop the madness and humiliation!!!

India's in the midst of being infected by feminism. The recent case of the gang raped girl who just died in a hospital in Singapore is likely to stir up a rape fever akin to what the U.S. and other Western countries have experienced.

I wish I could feel sorry, but the patient was already terminally ill to begin with. The country is trading it's hidebound traditions for the idiocies of Western social liberalism. This isn't like Brazil - India was never a pussy paradise, and it looks like it never will be.

For all those who think that this is some grand feminist conspiracy keep this in mind. The world bank considers India to be at the bottom of the list for contract enforcement (ranked 184 out of 185 countries). There are on average 46 legal procedures one must go through to get a contract enforced, and the process takes about 4 1/2 years to move through the courts. The cost to settle disputes is roughly 40% of the value of the contract. There's no sign of any real improvement in the near future. And the problem with a system this broken is that it leaves the door wide open for abuse. People think nothing of entering into contracts they have no intention of honoring because it will take the other party so long to resolve the issue through the courts, that in the long run, it's easier to agree to more favorable terms with the asshole party that did not bargain in good faith to begin with. At the moment international businesses will still invest there and do business because it's still profitable despite the obstacles and cultural disregard for contracts. As India advances, this will become a problem, because the cost of business will rise, and if their disregard for contracts doesn't change, then outsiders will stop doing business there as it becomes too risky and costly. Then India will fall right back on its ass.

What does this have to do with Dowry harassment laws? A Dowry is a contract. Dowry harassment is essentially extortion. India has a cultural disregard for contracts, and because the dowry itself is actually prohibited, the door is left wide open for wife's family to be taken advantage of. This is because despite the prohibition, the dowry is a tradition in India and not going away anytime soon. Even if it were permitted, we see the problem with contract enforcement in the above paragraph. So therefore, to reduce abuses, dowry harassment has been made criminal.

Is it unfair to men? Yes. But keep in mind, IRT's father and grandfather are the reason they exist. And all of this is merely a symptom of a culture's refusal to honor contractual agreements. If they would step up to the same level as shit holes like Zimbabwe or Afghanistan maybe they wouldn't have a problem with dowry harassment.

I was in New Delhi the week of the rape. The protests, from what I could see, didn't have the size or fury that the media implied. The city was actually fairly quiet and the streets(at least around where I was staying) were largely empty(by Indian standards--which was still eerie as fcuk). The city is swarming with soldiers though. There are groups of ten at least on every street corner around the India Gate.

India's problems are interesting. On one hand you have sexual repression, poverty, a shyt climate, an inadequate diet, and the stress of living in what essentially constitutes a human hive. Actual, brutal misogynism is prevalent there; not the bullshit rape culture that feminists propagate, but legitimate, in-your-face violent sexism. There are acid attacks, dowry burnings, honor killings, and eve teasing on a massive scale(which is a synonym for horrendous game and creepy-ass groping; I clocked a dude in Mumbai for trying to lick my cousin).

This is a country where, in many areas, women are actually repressed. This isn't a land of slutwalks and landwhales. What the non-Indian brothers on the forum might see as feminist bitching is not in the least bit unwarranted or unneccessary. It is impossible to equivocate gender relations in India with those in the West. Comparing feminism in Toronto or DC with India's sexual monstrosity is like comparing Brazil to Afghanistan.

At the same time, though, India pedestalizes its women to a ridiculous degree. Ours is a contradictory culture. Its sheer confusion only worsens the attitudes that pervade the country.

The reaction to this, however, is and will be just as blatantly retarded; men will be further repressed and women will have their status inflated to retarded levels; politicians will use this to scapegoat their opponents and pass bullshit legislation that will fatten their own pockets; and Indian society will be perverted even further than it already has been. At very best we can hope for a slight decline in rapes and violent crimes. That will literally be the only positive byproduct of the Delhi rape and whatever changes the protests engender.
