I was wondering how are dreadlocks perceived in South America especially Argentina. I have dreadlocks( about two inches above shoulder length), I ask because I am going to a university in Argentina for language this year. Do you think that dreadlocks would make one seam exotic to females or just make you draw unwanted attention?

I think it is good advertising if you want to peddle weed.
I saw Argentine dudes with dreads. I don't think it'll be any big deal, especially around La Boca. Might get some funny stares in Recoleta though. I wouldn't worry about it to be honest.
The Argentines generally love long and/or eccentric hair. My explanation for that is twofold:
1/Having a lot of Italian genes, Argentinian men tend to go bald early. Long hair is thus a demonstration of high value of sorts.
2/Argentinian men admire and women are attracted to rebels.
So don't worry, keep your dreadlocks, you'll be fine. Of course, it might no be true in each and any subculture, just like in any other country.
What I can tell you about my personal experience is that my hair (it's not dreadlocks though, rather a sort of funky fro) generates a lot of positive attention here in Buenos Aires.

Dreadlocks can work good in Euro beach towns.
Probably not going to make a big deal one way or another.
Argentina is conservative and homogenous looks and fashion-wise so they'll stand out and of course intrigue girls that are intrigued by that look. And vice-versa. You'll easily find fans in San Telmo.

Dude... If you're that concerned with what people think, you should cut your dreads off. Because they aren't for people like you. And another thing... Uhhh, there's all these primitive tribes in South America that have the,m... So, uhhh.... It's not that "exotic". Quit worrying what other people think about you poser.
they will assume that you are a drug dealer
All the men down there fucking dress like garbage and look like hippies anyway, so you won't have a problem. lol.
There's a member here who had dreads when he traveled to Argentina and Latin America. You should hit him up and ask him.
If your a clean cut brotha with dreds you will come up.

Im going to Argentina in like a month and i heard that the Argentine culture is pretty conservative so im thinking about cutting my dreads. I think maby females will be more receptive to my game if i cut the dreads. What has your experience been with dreads in SA ?

my experience was fine man, i never had one negative episode about my dreads
i send you a pm
I used to have dreads that went past my shoulders. It definitely acts like a filter. It will attract certain types of women and turn off others. I would sometimes get random compliments from girls that walked up and wanted to touch them. And they can be like a form of peacocking in that it gives a girl a reason to walk up and say something to you. "Oh cool hair, how long have you been growing them??" While I think I look better without dreads, I got more random approaches from girls when I had them and I think it's just for that reason. It gives them something to spark a conversation about.
On the flipside, it will turn off women who associate them with being dirty and think you're some disheveled rasta or something. I honestly don't feel like it made a huge difference having them or not having them. Overall I think I got somewhat more attention when I had them.
If you like them, then don't shave 'em for anybody. I cut mine just because I was sick of it after more than a decade and wanted to be able to wear hats.

When I had my dreads I was raking in the tang. Worldwide. Just play it off and don't fucking cut, you will regret it.
