Reading the byline, I imagined the divorcee was over 30 at the time of the affair and that her sister was younger and more fertile.

Too bad she didn't list any ages.

Part of me wonders if this happened at a different time/place that he would have had both of them as wives. Hell, even in modern day America, it's something that I would try to pull off if I were in his position.

I know its not popular to bash the man on RVF, but I reserve my deepest loathing for guys like this. Its one thing to leave your wife, but to do it with her sister is despicable in my opinion.

Women get over men leaving them, or even cheating. But this woman was left.....and then pretty much lost her sister, and half the holidays with her family for possibly the rest of her life.

There are billions of women out there. Only a spineless guy dominated by a scarcity mindset would think that it has to be with the sister.

Doesn't matter if he feels he has a connection--have some integrity and choose another one so as to not cause decades of hurt for your ex-wife. The lack of integrity is mind-blowing to me

I have to disagree with you completely. How do you know dude has a scarcity mindset? Banging a co-worker doesn't mean I can't holler at girls at the mall; co-worker could just be hotter. It could be legit attraction.

All this talk about integrity. The man did have some when he left her to start a new relationship and raise his kid with two parents. If he were dishonest he would've kept banging sis on the low.

Some girls are merciless in their use of betas they won't bang(but will accept $ from) as some men are mercenary in looking for women who have looks and womb(which is are woman's 2 real purposes). The Sexual Marketplace cares not for integrity but I feel the difference between us is you look at his through a moral lens and use tons of shaming language. To me he just exercised his choice and made a good one.

Interesting viewpoint.

I respect your opinion, but the following is why I disagree:

1) The dude has a scarcity mindset because if he believed there are a million+ matches out there for him (as guys with abundance mentalities do), then he wouldn't choose someone who would cause his ex-wife such justifiable grief. This isn't man-woman dynamics anymore--its choosing not to make a decision that will ruin another human being's family life.

By the way, I believe the large majority of guys operate from a scarcity mindset, so there's no quarter to be found in saying "most guys would do this if necessary."

I don't see how your co-worker hypo is analogous whatsoever. Go after your co-workers all you want--I won't equate you with this guy in the article. The difference between the two is that a woman is not losing her sister if you go after your co-worker.

2) Your point about integrity doesn't rebut my statement. True, he showed some integrity by raising his kid, but what does that have to do with his prior lame move of marrying his wife's sister? I suppose by your logic, someone can just escape responsibility for a lack of integrity by just not taking it further.

3) I agree with you entirely that some girls are merciless with betas. But this also is integrity-lacking behavior. One morally reprehensible act has nothing to do with the other. In other words, two wrongs don't make a right. These type of women should also be (and are, especially on this forum) spoken about with shaming language.

I get the sense that there is a feeling that just because we don't buy into feminazi western propoganda and white-knight behavior then that means that there is no such thing as integrity and we should comport ourselves in a "law of the jungle" type style.

I don't agree with this. If we don't like the moral system being imposed on us by our society because it shames men excessively or slants too much in favor of women, then we should choose our own moral code. BUT we should choose a code.

Just because we reject the feminazi machine which would have us believe that nearly everything is mistreatment of a woman, doesn't mean that the there no longer exists situations in which an asshole IS mistreating a woman. I believe leaving your wife for her sister is a prime candidate for such a classification.

It's also low-class gutter behavior worthy of Jerry Springer.

This is a moral issue for me--its not about rights. Of course a guy has the right to leave his wife for the sister, and I have the right to judge such a guy as a spineless.
