Hi I have been having trouble with my teeth lately, there is some real blood coming out when I brush them.
I don't want to go to the dentist because he charges $120, I'll try to go to chinatown in 2 weeks because I am pretty sure I'll find a dentist there who will only charge me around $60.
What can I do to prevent my issue from getting worse for the next 2 weeks?
I have tried baking soda and it seems to help. Anything else?
Thanks in advance

Try a soft brush instead of a medium or hard brush. Also, make sure when you're brushing you're doing so in a gentle fashion. I had this problem once years ago and the switch to a soft brush and being less intense when brushing made all the difference.

Man, for all I know blood comes out of your gingiva when you've missed brushing your teeth [and flossing] for many days. As soon as you restart doing it you should get no more bleeding after a few days. So, as I assume this is not your case [it should be getting better by the day, not worse] you may want to check for other causes unrelated to your mouth. Have you searched for some circulation condition?

I believe I have an issue with my gingiva, one of them was starting to get swollen but it went away, I just hope I don't have gingivitis because sometimes I don't brush my teeth before going to sleep but I brush them every morning.
No I have not searched for any circulation conditions.

The question remains: is your bleeding shrinking or thickening as the days go by? I think the answer puts you on one field or another [mouth-related or not].
Well, sometimes brushing is not enough: some stuff gets stuck between two teeth and that will provoke gingivitis, but then the bleeding should only come out of those teeth more prone to retain food, not all of them.

I recommend brushing and flossing. Otherwise better go see a dentist. That sounds serious.

You may just have sensitive teeth and gums, however your symptons may get worse. Get a soft brush, some Sensodyne toothpaste, and brush your teeth softly. Try this for a few days and see if the bleeding persists. If so then I highly recommend you see a dentist. Letting this go on without being properly diagnosed and treated will cost you a lot more money in the long run than if go so see a dentist now and see if this is really a serious issue or something that can be easily resolved.

The blood is getting thicker everyday. I guess I'll have to go see a dentist, That's the type of expenses I did not prepare for.
$120 going down the toilet, if I have to go buy some medications it would be more. No going out for me this weekend
Thanks for the advices.

You aren't flossing are you?
Brush twice a day, floss once a day, use mouthwash 1-2 times per day. this will prevent gingivitis
And see a dentist
