"you better not hurt her"

I'm sure you guys have been in those situations where you're talking to a girl, things are going smooth between you and her, and then one or more of the other members of the set come up and start saying shit like "you better not hurt her/fuck with her or you'll have me to deal with" type remarks. what's a good response to these types of lines? and what do you do when they keep repeating it over and over?

Intimidate him/her or use shaming language if you can't think of a witty reply like those above. It may cost you a bang, but since cockblock is already underway you've got nothing to lose. I like to say: "Yeah, I've got a basement and I like to use it to punish random girls I meet. How did you guess?".

This does not even qualify as a cockblock. Friend is just looking out for the target. This is natural. 2 things you could do:

1) Flip the script:
"Your friend better not hurt me, she is clearly the one with bigger muscles" point at target or hold her arm,get her to flex. Works best if your target is petite.

2)Acknowledge and move on:
"Cool, So how do you guys know each other or what's your name or You seem like an X kind of girl, are you originally from X state/school?"

"Me? Never." Keep it simple. You don't owe her friends a fucking thing. Better yet, pretend like you didn't hear them say anything to you at all and just blow them off. Or act like you're offended they would even assume you would do her wrong. Turn it around on them. You're the winner.

CMan that was a good answer too. that's actually how I usually handle it most of the time. last night I went out and this girl's sister was doing that over and over, at first I did like you said and kept it simple. then later that night, I met the sister's boyfriend, and the first fucking words out of his mouth was the same asinine threat. asinine because first of all, the guy was old and in deathly shape, I would've leveled the motherfucker easy, and also because that's just a really dumb shit thing to say to someone you've just met. he got up in my face a bit but was smiling and not using threatening body language so I just played it cool and started ignoring them, then by the end of the night they were both cool with me. I just hate when people are threatening me or assuming I'm a bad person, even if they're not serious it gets on my fucking nerves.

The boyfriend is undoubtably beta. By threatening you he feels like he is somehow increasing his value with his girlfriend. Next time tell him to mind his own business and leave it at that. Be a bit of a dick. I doubt it kills your chances with the target. And if it does, flip it around on him and make the girl feel guilty about all these people giving you a hard time. Say something like "Is he always like that?" She'll get the point.

yeah I think you're right man. I like your idea of turning it around with the "is he always like that?" line. that's usually a line I would use for a nasty cockblock, but it actually seems like it would work pretty good in this situation too. will definitely keep it in the back of my mind...

I feel like beginners get caught up on never ceding ground, like it's a battle and you have to be a cocky asshole 100% of the time or else the girl will think you're a wimp.

You don't have to be so difficult.

If someone says don't hurt her, just be like, "yeah" and that's it. It isn't a battle, don't make it one, diffuse it.

I used to lose tons of pussy because I had some stupid idea in my head that I couldn't give an inch on anything, it was my way or the highway, that everything was a shit test and I had to pass it by being unmovable. It definitely never helped me get laid.

Make it easy for the girl to come home with you, not difficult by starting a fight with her friends.

If he's the one being approached and interrogated or questioned, then how does it qualify as being a "cocky asshole" on his part? I don't understand the logic. I said it's best he keep it short. We're in agreement there. By making the girl he's gaming feel guilty for being hassled by the sisters boyfriend, I think her chances of trying to make it up to him increase. By making a comment like "Is he always like that?" he is putting himself above the bullshit, thus DHV'ing. Right?
